  • Simple exercise, complicated biomechanics: scapulohumeral rhythm. Chronic shoulder aches after a lot of other corrections are leading me away from this movement. With weights, anyway.

  • Timer: set for 30 seconds, so I don't distract myself by counting.

    Chins: The important part is 90 degrees of shoulder flexion; how far above or below is debatable.

    Press: didn't realize there was anything out of the ordinary about the range, I'll have to watch again.

    Shrugs: correct, I didn't have too much interesting to say about them.

    Abs: didn't come up with an appropriate analysis to fit the others. Yes, I believe the psoas is holding static in those positions.

  • Some questions:

    What is the function of the timer?

    Chin ups - is that range of motion necessary?

    Barbell press - again that range of motion - is that needed?

    Shrugs - don't get a mention in the book?

    Abs - again not mentioned in the book - is these moves "congruent"? Are the hip floexors (psoas etc) out of this? Also I note the negatives
