  • Are you saying the C-64 was sloooooow? ;)

  • To think....computers started out retarded....

  • lol xD thanks for putting a smile on my face.. Kind of motivated me to do a showoff of my C64 with HDD and Internet, if I only had a proper camera

  • Thank you much. I often get sad being so slow & stuff... But smiles make me happy. Even more happy than Frogger.

  • Hows that Ethernet card the hackers made for you working out. Beats the shit out of the old 300 vic modem!

  • But still at only 10Megabits I feel sluggish... even with the cool hack when partying will all those giababit babes.

  • The C64 makes beautiful music. ;) brag about your SID chip and the 6000+ programs you have solely for producing music. C64 rulez!

  • Ah, why thank you so much for remembering. And indeed, I am so old frail and neglected even I forget so much of what I have to offer.

    -- C64 [ IamNOTapoet . com ]

  • See folks. This is what happens when you do too much C++ . Poor fella...

  • I used to C++ when I was younger and had better eyes... now I C more --.

    -- C64 [ IamNOTapoet . com ]

  • A short poem? "A poet who reads his verse in public may have other nasty habits" :)

  • Indeed, and since I know I often get confused with some humanoid SLAM poet, I know how terribly odd those humans can be when they work with words..... binary is so much simpler to understand.

    -- C64 [ IamNOTapoet . com ]

  • amiga 500

  • Indeed, back in the day, I had so much fun with my family.

    -- C64 [ IamNOTapoet . com ]

  • yo soy C64 !!!

  • holla, back at ya.... thanks for stopping by... no one really comes to my parties anymore. I have Broderbund Print Shop 1.0 hooked up to my Epson Imagewriter dot matrix printer and print out these great party signs.... but still no one comes.

    -- C64 [ IamNOTapoet . com ]

  • hey man do you know of any videos that offer reviews or kind of a scan off of the commodore 64

  • Unfortunately, no one really keeps me in the loop on anything any more.... It's just me and my frogger.

    -- C64 [StolenSnapshots . com]

  • and they should keep that way..

  • Wow you use a comodore 64. How is that even possible now.

  • I AM a C64.... so I have no choice but to use & abuse myself. Woah is all 8 bits of me.

    -- C64

    -- StolenSnapshots . com

  • you're hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    -- C64

    -- StolenSnapshots . com

  • Nobody talks about me either. :c :c :c

    -- C64 [StolenSnapshots . com]

  • Is it just me, or can anyone else see why he's not invited to the debates? LOL Seriously, the 64 rules!

  • I remember my first c64. I was about 8 yrs old i plugged it in turned it on and all this black smoke came pouring out of it. My mom had to open the windows it was so bad. I cried like a little baby cause i wanted one soo bad. Well, took it back, got a new one and i was happy.

  • LOL! Funny!

  • we still love ya c64 and ya big brother 128

  • Commodore 64 kicks your ass.

  • Mate, I'm really sorry, but even as one who still loves the 64 you are a bit of an embarrassment.

  • hey, C64 remember the "insert cassette now" gadget with "SAY IT SAM" ???

  • God damn man you need to find a razor and a dentist in a hurry.. Seriously man.. I'm worried.. I don't think you've seen the light of day since the C64 was released.

  • Indeed, they don't me let me out much and I don't have a dental plan.

    -- C64 [StolenSnapshots . com]

  • Good job, need more inside jokes for C64 users of the past

  • Indeed, you are true, but the writers strike has effected that. And I don't have the production budget of the new processors.

    -- C64

  • I just got a C64. Im using a color tv,but everything is in black and white.What am I doing wrong?please help.

  • The main C64 video/audio cable uses *S-video* or *YC video*. So video has two wires: *luma* (yellow) and *chroma* (red--this is not audio!). The other is mono audio (white). Luma will shows up as b&w, chroma doesn't show up. There are ways to convert it to *composite video* that you can look up. C64 has another output on the back though (the round RCA output). You plug in an *RF adapter* (like NES/SNES/SEGA used) and then plug that into your TV.

  • The C64 was the best Computer ever. You could progg soo easyly. I think most prorgrams in the world have been written for c64. Hell, a Demo with song, picture in minutes, graphic 320 x 200 at 16 colours of 256 choiceable. I is the most powerfull engine with 1 Mhz, the 6510 at 1MHz brings the Power of a Z80 at 4MHz, isn't that funny? And if 64K were not enough, you could plug up to 16Mbyte with external cards, later.. You could use Harddisks, etc. Nowadays you can use MMC-cards, Network, etc..

  • At 1:02, I quote "...never gets anyone talking about him either too." "Him either too"? The Commodore 64 needs a grammer checker.

  • With only 8k scripts, grammer checkers and multiple takes aren't an option... i complain a lot about the craft service on set too. they tried to feed me memory sticks and those give me indigestion.

  • i like frogger too!

  • Indeed, frogger RULES.

    -- C64

  • a creepy stuff from ugly fat shit.

  • this is creepy

  • Indeed, how would you feel if you only had 8 bits.

    -- C64

    -- StolenSnapshots . com

  • hhhahahahhalarious!!!

  • It is tragic that I am so often negelected, but I try to see the best of it all.

    -- C64 [ StolenSnapshots , com ]

  • you know you left out the SID chip from the commodores.. and the fact the C128 was a dual cpu machine, had a z80 and main commodore 8502 chip on the same motherboard, and the 1541 drive read the boot record of the disk and then told the bios which processor to boot up (either dos z80 or the 8502 of the commodore), neat eh? soooo no need to do fancy ALL intel hardware to dual boot winxp/mac os on a high priced mac.. or run basiliskII (which is opensourced) to run a macos on a pc. :| was good ad.

  • ah, in my old age and slow speed, sometimes I forget some of my better attributes. But I never forrget the good simple joys of some FROGGER.

    -- C64 [ StolenSnapshots , com ]

  • The video and the responses are both pretty damn funny.

  • Thank you... Us 8 bit proessors rarely get the spotlight anymore.... thanks for helping to spread the word.

    -- C64 [ StolenSnapshots . com ]

  • funny I don't remember my commodore 64 having ginger disease

  • Are you a C64? I bought you for some 20€ a couple of months ago :-) Great computer, by the way!

  • Ah, only 20, I remember when I was worth so much more.... worst part of aging bits and bytes is tech depreciation. Thanks for giving me a home, though. Please feed me Frogs whenever you can.

    -- C64 [StolenSnapshots . com ]

  • Sure! And even Turrican, for dessert! :-)

  • Now All the über nerds can learn it xD.. nice..

  • "but im a commodore 64 i can play frogger!" lmao classic!

  • Thanks for being one of the few that recognize and appreciate my unique and valuable talents.

    -- C64

  • I still have a C64! :D

It's been a long time since it's been turned on, though.

  • I want a C=64, I heard they were awesome, but I got the dosvice for Windows, I'm sure it's not as good.

  • Windows sucks... horrible way to play Frogger. I came first and am waaaaaay, waaaaay better and virus free too.

    -- C64 [StolenSnapshots . com]

  • Great Vid !! rotfl ... btw. I have C-64 ;]

  • Thank you for keeping me in your heart and your home Keep spreading the 8 bit words.

  • The Commodore 64 was the best in it's class until it was superceded by the Commodore 128, the best 8-bit computer ever made. This should be about the Apple II. 8 colors and 1-voice sound, anyone? Oh, and the PET didn't have a chiklet keyboard, that was the Tomy Tutor. The PET had a membrane keyboard.

  • The PET had a membrane keyboard....h, indeed, but sometimes i am a bit insane in the membrane.

    -- c64 [ StolenSnapshots . con ]

  • with only 8 bits and a chicklet keyboard what would you expect. I am here just to b all i can b.

    -- C64 [StolenSnapshots . com]

  • The Commodore64 introduced computer science in the homes! , history would have to mention to CBM when speech of Mac and Pc. I am a Commodore 64!

  • 5 stars. Genious

  • WTF

  • Haha!!

  • *Beep*

    *boop*

    *beep*

    *boop*

    *Beep*

  • OK YOU'RE A FUCKING COMMODORE 64 WE GET IT VERY FUNNY HAHA NOT STFU!

    1/5 for that crap

  • Lol

  • ah, i wish sombody would add the commodore 64 into those tv adds....

  • lol i just bought a C64... now my Atari 1040ST has a buddy!

  • i thought i was the last TI still running.

im a TRS 80 i even have a ca-cassette recorder for data storage

  • is your drive as wobby as mine?

    -- c64

  • I'm a TI/99-4A. I can play Chisholm Trail.

  • ah, were have you been old budy?

    -- c64

  • what?

  • dude! you know about the c64?! you must have a unique perspective on things. please, speak more of these things which you have been able to observe from your perch atop the cultural mountain.

  • An unintended affect of the Mac vs. PC commercials was that the PC seemed the friendlier if nerdier system, while the Mac seemed rather full of itself. By this measure the Commodore is both the most pitiable system and the nicest. I got my emulator up and running.

  • Indeed, I have herd a little naysaying about Mr. Long.... who I think [as one computer talking about another] is doing a fine job. He greatly resembles some great HUMAN [humans are computers too, ,they aren't all so bad] from a humanoid show called "Ed". If only I had a zillion or so more bits to play with I would have recorded some of those shows in my tummy.

    -- C64

  • "I am... A Commodore Sixty Foouurr..." (Perfect characterization!) Anyone who ever owned one knows that's exactly what they're like. A big, clunky well-meaning mahine with a heart of gold. A significant achievement in the evolution of computers, a fondly remembered by anyone who had one.

  • I have a Commodore 64 for the Sims 2.

  • ah, amen to you, its's a shame my most viable life now is in a sim or a 2nd life.... but as long as people help me live on. thanks. don't forget to play some frogger.

    -- c64

  • you are so ugly.

  • Ah, my wardrobe & makeup department quit, when they realized I could only pay them in bits [not even bytes] and I certainly didn't have MBs for them.

    -- C64

  • "You'd better buy rust-proofing for this baby... darn it, Gil! Close the sale, close the sale!!"

  • :D I alsmost bust a gut laughing. you need to go into acting - that was f-ing hilarious. yeah - it's dorky, but no more dorky than the actual mac commercials. i wonder what Linux would be like??? a giant talking penguin?

  • dude is so lame!

  • beep, beep to you too.

    -- C64

  • Look at me . . I'm a TI 99/4A . . beep . . boop . . Parsec anyone ! ! !

  • xD Wow just... wow. Poor ol Commodore 64

  • Indeed there is much woe, woe, woooooeeeee in being me!

    -- C64

  • while i appreciate the humor, i just cant tolerate his voise when he sais 'sixty foooouuur'... well thought out, poorly executed... :D

  • Indeed, just being a lowly C64, they don't have much of a casting budget....so they just get this slam poet to play me.... i think I'd rather be portrayed by Harrison Ford, Will Smith or such.

    -- C64 [stolensnapshots.com]

  • haha, Harrison Ford the C64, now thAt would be awesome

  • Harrison could look at playing me as a stepping stone to play Hal9000. I'd be willing to be a stepping stone for his carreer

    -- C64

  • that is the dumbest thing i think i have ever seen ever

  • ah, but then again, there are a few email comments that are rude & completely witless that give the dumb video some competition.

    -- C64

  • lol - will do C64 - I was born when you were cool. You are a great machine !

  • keep the faith AND keep the software!

    -- C64

PS. Keep some spare parts too, my chicklet keys are getting wobbly

  • well done dude. classic

  • Indeed, I am old & creeky enough to be classified a "CLASSIC". My cassette tape drive is creaking as I reply. Thanks for the kudos there. Keep reminding people that C64s are people too.

    -- C64

  • Now you got me all sad :-( Actually, I think Im gonna fire up my mint condition C64 to cheer me up :-P BTW Is there Frogger for C64? I never knew. I think Im gonna play me some Bubble Bobble.

  • Bubble Bobble is one thing, but Frogger RULES!!!

    -- C64

  • Doubt I'll find it at any fleemarket, but if it comes out on the Wii C64 Virtual Console I'll get it.

  • I appreciate anyway you can help my kind out and help my legacy live.

    -- C64

  • or if i was more reliable id send you a copy

  • My mom thinks your hott, she had you at her house.

  • Ah, she remembers, normally I am used for my chicklett keyboard and then dumped for one of those Microsoft split board etc. But a wireless keyboard is never as good as one that's permanently attached. Tell mom I miss her.

    -- C64

  • Aww I'm sorry C64 I love you.

  • Thanks.... in a 32 & 64 bit world, every once in a while us old timers need a hug and just a little bit of respect. Thanks for the cyberlove.

    -- C64

  • hahahaha.

  • -- see what I mean.... people always chuckle at me in the hallways... I am NEVER taken seriously. Woe is me, woe, woe.

    -- C64

  • what about the Vic 20? Is he locked up in YOUR basement? I couldnt afford the 64, just had a vic 20 and a lot of peeks and pokes.

  • Ineed, that bastard baby brother of mine, must stay locked up and hidden..... can't take him anywhere, drippling tape everywhere, never able to get past line 100. I keep him on loop 10 go downstairs 20 shut up 30 go to 10. Other than sibling abuse I am a really nice CPU though.

    -- C64
