I mean it was definitely not the shadow banking system that has flooded this government and a lack of the ability to allow creative destruction. Not to mention the Federal Reserve being last- lender option for these non regulated institutions which has made the dollar basically worthless.
After his presentation, not one Democrat tried to rebutt Ryan's financial analysis that Obama care will not do what the Dems claim. I know this for I watched his presentation on CSPAN and what came after.

The actuary for Medicare says the Dem bill will not reduce costs.
Having more central control (in DC) will not increase efficiency. Central control by it's very nature is not efficient. It will lead to rationing and less access.

People with job linked insurance will lose their health insurance and have to go into the exchange.
This will happen because a business can pay a $2,000 fee and drop insurance.

1,400,000,000 in China
1,200,000,000 in India
300,000,000 in USA
China & India are in those 30 nations which have Universal Health Care & don't have insurance companies sucking off funds.
And there medical systems are getting so much better -- we are already stealing many doctors from India & would like to get many from China.

Our health care system is incredibly inefficient - 30 other countries achieve better results at half the cost.
That doubled cost bankrupts people and businesses, and increases government deficits.
Ryan's proposals don't address the major problems, and no Republican majority would support them.
At least the Democrats admit there's a problem and are willing to stake their future on their solution.
