To be fair the President wasn't the one who caused the economic crisis though he failed to stop it. Congress passes the budgets and stimulus programs and etc etc. So it wouldn't be right to blame the president for any of that, though he has royally screwed up in other ways.

Bush was a draft-dodger who had his pop get him into the ANG to avoid being shipped out to Vietnam. On top of that, he had a poor attendance record for his drills and inspections. Then he stopped showing up altogether, when the Pentagon in 1972 began requiring drug-testing for Guardsmen.

Interesting how Bush jumped through hoops and loops to avoid Vietnam, but now he has no problem sending other people's sons and daughters overseas to fight his oil wars.

Nixon was a great president & did a lot to fix Johnson problems (Vietnam, economy, ect.). He did so much to keep allies & gain allies traveling & meeting w/ foreign leaders, & could have easily won w/o watergate. Nixon was 1 of the best modern day presidents of our time, He accomplished so very much in his short term. Those tapes was his property, it was not custom to record conversations in the White House. It was something he started so there would be a audio documentation of his great legacy. He was born with the purpose of being president. It's so sad that when people here the name Nixon they only think Watergate. For when he is held in the balance his good by far out measures the bad.

Nixon pulled us out of Vietnam because of something called re-election, after his failed escalation in Vietnam. And that quote underlines the issue of Nixon's hypocritical Watergate scandal. Nothing you say will write off that crime. Calling people fags for refusing to enlist in our attempts to spread democracy through violence is assinine: Wake the fuck up.
