i was jammin out to "the firm", then i remebered this band that paul rodgers, and the drummer from the who were in, "the law" so glad i found it, cause this song is wicked. u could put it on almost any bad company album for sure.
I used to have a VHS with the video they issued with this great track. It was set in the Wild West. There were some bad guys pushing a broad in a white dress into a puddle and laughing, and then this ornery dude comes up , and sporting the badge that can be seen on the front of the album cover. There's then some eye-balling, and eventually the Law dude shoots the three baddies. It's a great video and I've spent many an hour trying to find it, but alas to no avail.
@ColinHoughton55 I would like to see that again. I couldn't find it when I was searching. It is a great song. Our Basketball team used to play it when we had our warm up before the game. Can't beat the voice of Paul Rodgers.
This song is almost "Bad Company" part 2...except on the right side of the law. :) Paul Rodgers is one my big vocal influences, and he just kicks ass with every song he does.
Yep I too had this , on tape I think - anyway wore it out - must try and get it on CD
Love this guy - gutsy rock and wow what a voice - perfect rock performer - shame not so much of it around any more. Quality stuff - Keep at it mate - there's still a lot of us around who eat and breath this music. X
My sister & I just saw Paul Rodgers At The Pacific Ampitheater in Costa Mesa California. 7-27-11.He is the voice of rock & roll for our generation.Thank you Paul for your inspiration for over 30 years....
the voice is even better then johnny van zant in 1979 god bless the voice for we need the peace of mind in our ears a hugh talent that god gave us rock n roll not these fags today or that cat stuck in blender paul is the boss and us drummers know this thanx boss keep it up
Thanks very much for posting this......been looking for it out here for several years. Heard it on the radio for the first time around 1990-1991 or so.....very cool song. Paul Rodgers has probably one of the Top 5 Rock Voices of all time......lots of soul and passion for the song....that's what he's all about.
Well I'll be kiss my bunions, I'm sure The Duke is smiling, if not, Dino is feeling the love. So many westerns, so few credible stars today. It's OK though, Westerns will be alright now till Sam Elliot or Robert Duvall passes. Oh, BTW, DO NOT FUCK WITH PAUL RODGERS, He has my permission to shoot you, pilgrim.
I've been a fan of Paul Rodgers since his days with Free. Whether with Free, Bad Co., The Firm, The Law or his own band doing solo material, including the excellent tribute Lp to Muddy Waters, Paul has put together a collection of work that is second to none. So "All Right Now" we all have our favorites-but give the man his due. He is one of the great voices in Rock and Roll.
@Bluematter2010 I agree with everything in your comment. I have this CD and it's great. My personal favorite track is "For a Little Ride" (excellent song for driving). I saw Paul with Queen in March 2006 and his vocals are just as good as they were in 1970! He's my all-time favorite vocalist. BTW - excellent picture montage!
Apart from the odd Bad Co track this is the only song i like by Rodgers, dont know why i always thought he was a bit overated as a singer(sorry) , dont know why he is with Queen now ,it would be interesting to get a comment by Rodgers fans regarding his music today....
@royseahawks Since you believe Rodgers is overated then I guess us Rodger's fans we will not have to see your posts anymore on his videos. Goodbye and Good luck to you.
By the way Rip Van Winkle, Rodgers's hasn't played with Queen since late 2008. He toured with Bad Company in 2009 & 2010.
Great Song! I bought this CD out of the bargain bin years ago, that WAS a bargain, I love it! Many people I know that are Bad Co. fans have never heard of The Law, can you upload the rest of the album?
I first heard this song about two years ago while driving. Pulled to the side of the road, and waiting until the deejay announced what it was. I recognized Rodgers voice, but not the song. Unbelievable how I missed it for all these years. Then I couldn't find the album anywhere - until my sister the lawyer said "Check Ebay" and I had it in two weeks. I think I've worn out the CD!
Haven't heard this song for about 20 years when I used to listen to Bob Harris through the night on Radio One......at work of course! Paul Rogers, Wow what a voice.
I was so lucky to see the Law live in the 1980's They played the Milton Keynes Bowl (UK) as a support band to ZZ Top on the Recyler tour... Brayn Adams was Main support act. I foolishly didnt buy the CD then and spent almost 20yrs regretting it.... Finaly found the CD on a download site a few years ago. This band really took over where Bad Company left off with Straight Shooter.... Bad Co etc..... Truly a shame they didnt continue....
@emperorsdragon I've read where Rodgers was unhappy with the final mix. He especially mentioned the "For a little Ride" production was screwed up and if they had used the mix he wanted, could have been another Can't Get Enough"
Great song - It is an 80's version of the original song "Bad Company" IMHO. I'm not sure why Paul has not any of The Law CD in his solo shows. Cut Loose was also a solid album and many songs there would make a good addition to the solo concerts.
Its about time!!! Ive searched You Tube for yrs for this!!! I had the cassette & played the hell out of it, one of the best albums ever!!! It's book marked now!!!
I am very grateful someone finally posted this. I have been looking for years, regretful that I left my Law cassette in Germany. This is one of my favorite Paul Rodgers songs. Thank you Bluematter.
I thought The Law was Some of Paul's best work. I wished they had put out another album. This is a great song, I only wished he'd done it in concert the last few times that I saw him. Cool video as well. Thanks.
The Law released one disc and it was awesome. I've turned a lot of my friends into The Law fans. Thank you for uploading this song. Would you please add more of their music for everybody's enlightnment?

Like many of the other subscribers here, I too was impressed with the LAW's first
albumn. Why has Paul not continued with the project ? Possibly because he and Kenny Jones( the two principles) had a falling out ?
