i did this, great idea to save on buying both lcd and digitizer everytime i break my phone. Glass its self is 10 bucks on ebay!! i mounted the digitizer using double sided tape, looks great and will save you tons of $ if u break phones like i do.

@dugy40 calm down dude. This video was shot weeks before the iPhone 4 was even released. We got our hands on these parts before anyone else and made a video showing the differences between the iPhone 3g/3gs and the 4. Check out the date of the video. We know the lcd and glass/digitizer are fused together and we don't suggest anyone try to separate them for the repair.

this is dumb, u can buy the digitizer and lcd seperate, thats what he is showing here, dont do it!!! how are u going to mount the lcd to the digitizer? there is not a way, Apple fuses them with a special process. THIS VIDEO IS FAKE , DONT LET IT MISLEAD YOU

@hill6666 in fact they have slightly reduced the size but they have like a pixel count of 960x680 if I am not mistaken. That glass is real from the new iPhone. Gizmodo has pictures of it (engadget too) which are definately real, apple has even asked for the prototype to be returned in a formal letter.
