  • Nice Fish, I'm assuming you are in a sound somewhere. What part of the country is this? And what did you catch that trout on in that stained water? I've never had too much luck with trout in dirty water.

  • 5 pound trout + 2 pound mullet= 7 pounds. Did you all fail math class? Great catch.

  • i would say 3- 5 lbs TOPS but still i wouldnt mind a trout like that, good catch (:

  • I really doubt that one is 7lbs, but nice fish anyway!

  • It's probably not 7 lbs. I've caught literally hundreds of specks, and the largest one I've caught down here in Texas was 7 lbs 8 oz and over 27 inches. It's still a nice specimen you got there.

  • NOT 7 lbs. Where's the scale in the video weighing it? That's right, you guessed the weight and like most people, you exagerated.

  • if you wanna see trout have a look at the river moy. its covered in trout and you can get up to around 30 trout a day

  • way to go cameraman you made that look like a silver walleye

  • what bait did you use

  • thats a nice trout i bet u that that trout is 5ib and the mullut is 2 lbs haha jkjk

  • thats a huge trout compared to the ones in va & nc a big one here is 3 pounds

  • louisiana trout fisherman make me laugh.. omgsh a 12 inch trout hahah

  • 7 pounds? Give me a F break!

  • Nnnnooooooooooooo.........he's right. Look it up. The only gamefish that have maximum size limits in that area are snook and redfish. Tarpon used to be one of them with a minimum size of 36 inches and a maximum size of 64 inches before they made in illegal to harvest in 1958. I would eat them anyway, but still, He's right. Up here the Weaks have to be 15 inches and you can possess 10 fish with "NO" maximum size limit.

  • It's a speckled trout or weakfish as we call it up north. They really don't get too big to begin with. That one may not be seven pounds, but it's a good 4.5 or 5 pounds and that's trophy in my book.

  • you wanna see big trout. come up the the UP. best trout fishin in the world.

  • God you texas trout fishermen make me laugh , i love louisiana and hey i catch 20 trout like that during jend of may thur july at seabrook bridge in la

  • Hellyea, let those big mammas keep makin babies.

  • Not where I live.

    LOUISIANA SALTWATER RECREATIONAL REGULATIONS:

Seatrout, Spotted (Speckled Trout): 12 inches minimum total length. 25 fish per person daily bag limit.

  • Texas: 10 fish-15 inch minimum. 1 over 25 daily. (10 fish over 25" in your icechest is probably illegal too)

  • well maybe in "texas" but not in louisiana

  • In "Louisiana" you can only keep two over 25" a day. Ktomek06 was correct, 10 of those in an ice chest would be illegal.

  • @ktomek06 haha that sucks, like reefkeepa said, 25 per person, 12" minimum, no maximum size, but red fish is different, 5 per person, 1 over 27"

  • @ktomek06 Nice catch and yes following the rules is important. Especially when people can even get busted for posting pictures that are questionable.

Florida: 5 fish (North Region)/ 4 fish (South Region). 15"-20" with one allowed over 20". We even have closed season during the winter.

I wish I lived in LA, 25 fish would keep me well fed for the week after a long weekend of fishing.

  • @ktomek06 well he doesnt live in texas...

  • It would have made it into my ice chest too !!!!

Hopefully with at least 10 others just like it.

  • dang

  • Yeah it make it into a pan of oil. With some cornmeal
