  • is he still alive?

  • Not only did he live, he accidentally shot himself in the head (chin, but still) and almost refused treatment. Survived that too.

I think he might be an Immortal.

  • 400 I hate to tell you, curling is played on ice

  • For some reason i have the urge to buy a buick

  • He lived, nice Buick commercial tho

  • My neck hurts now

  • like the song

  • what happened? how did his neck start to bleed?

  • @yankeesown27 A skate cut his jugular vein.

  • @rjflesher actually it was his internal carotid artery

  • brutal bitch

  • That happened to a 15 last week during my brothers hockey game It's terrible

  • Brutal.....

  • Malarchuk shoulda got a free Buick Riviera after that!

  • After this happened he started having nightmares about it so shot himself but survived! Man hes been through alot. He. Has . Balls!

  • Why is his throat bleeding, I couldn't see what happened

  • @tomossurrey Something cut his jugular vien.

  • i wanted to play hockey, but after all accidents ive seen i skip it..

  • Buick Riviera forever burned into my mind.

  • Where was the blood coming out of?

  • @Zoymaa The throat.

  • omg god is he okk?

  • @downfallshots Yes he survived. Two weeks later he was back on the ice

  • Buick ad? You Fucking serious?

  • Craziest thing I've seen in a long time

  • this should be taken off youtube

  • hope the poor guy is ok, does anybody know?

  • @K1TSON360 the trainer stuck his finger into his artery to clog it and save him, i think i read somewhere that the trainer was a former army medic

  • hes such a trooper he took like a goalie hes sweet

  • Oh god i just started playing goalie this year... yeahhhh now im kinda scared :P

  • @MOGPOGTOGZOG

    Be Carefull

  • he said hwe felt fine and woulda kept playing but they made him stop, hes fineeee.

  • Whats the guy's name?

  • @SSCC2015 something vokoun

  • No, he did not die, if anyone wants to know, he actually spoke about this accident on tv afterwards.

  • If it wasn't for a trainer who knew how to stop the bleeding hd would have died

  • did he die

  • @TraxxisStampede No he got to the hospital in time and the put god knows how many stitches and he survived and still played but not for a while

  • Goalie after accident - I used to be a goalie, but then I took a skate to the throat.

  • @TheCorrosiveKill srsly show some respect, you think that's funny?, grow up

  • Did he die?

  • @kacook123 no he did not die but if the skate would have been 1/8 in higher, he would have been dead in 2 minutes. he need 300 stetchees to fix the wound, but was back playing in goal ten days later.

  • Hockey is Definatley the manlinest sport, football ain't bad other than them wearing tights and slappin each others asses all the time

  • @400ex4stroke What do you mean by manly?

  • @bestfootygossip uhhhmmmm, not for pussies?

  • @400ex4stroke a sport in which you have a big chance of hurting yourself does not make it manlier.

  • @Tomaxzo what i'm saying is that it's a tough sport, ya gotta be strong and not afraid to get hurt like diving in front of a 100mph shot, so you don't get scored on. takes a man to do that not these pussy ass sports, as well as hockey is continous and requires great endurance. in football you get like a 20 second break after every play and even longer whether your on defence or offence. baseball too ya just stand out in a field and when the ball comes to you every odd time you run after it.

  • @Tomaxzo in soccer the field is so god dam big you can just jog around and maybe touch the ball once or twice in a game or if you get tripped they lay on the field and whine for an hour, not in hockey, ya get back up and pull through the pain because hockey players are real men. same thing applies with basketball, it would be alot more interesting if there was contact all ya have to do is do a few little spin moves and not worry about gettin hit because if ya do, the other team get's a penalty.

  • @400ex4stroke I agree in that it requires balls to play hockey, and something I hate in soccer is the whining players who lay on the field for hours, that's not how it should be. English soccer is the best soccer I've seen, they just stand up and play. Penalties are part of the rules and does not make it pússy, but taking advantage of them is idiotic AND pussy.

  • @Tomaxzo what i'm saying is i like a physical sport soccer doesn't cut it for me

  • @400ex4stroke Football is definetly really brutal trust I've seen HORRIBLE things happen in football. Hockey is bloody football is bonecrushing. YEAH BUDDY

  • @masteroftheblaster1 i'd say hockey is just as bone crushing, you can go faster on skates and frozen ice is alot harder than turf or grass

  • @400ex4stroke I bet you have never played football ever before in your life have you?

  • @masteroftheblaster1 i did in high school, i played both sports, hockey requires much more endurance and skill, just think about it you have to learn to skate which is pretty much like learning how to walk again

  • @400ex4stroke Don't know if it's the manliest, goriest isn't manly in my opinion.

  • @robpax well regardless of your opinion versus mine you can't say it isn't manly at all

  • @robpax i dunno maybe it's just the fact that i'm Canadian that i'm defending it so much lol

  • @400ex4stroke Yea you Canadians have hockey locked down! :)

  • @400ex4stroke Here is the manliest sport type Hurling - The Fastest Game on Grass

  • I want to know, did they play the match to the end or stopped it?

  • SO METAL.

  • They just turned on the f*****g biuc commercial

  • but he really was closed to die

  • no worries guys he's still alive !!

  • i'm 16 and i still got a really bad feeling in my stomach when i saw that.

  • I feel so bad

  • How??and when?

  • Annoying fucking commentator...

  • Dammmmmmmmmn

  • Eeeeeew

  • Ouch.

  • Oh wow...who was this?? And when??

  • @BestCanucksFan Clint Malarchuk

  • When did this happen?

  • he said in an interview that he just wanted to get off the ice so his mom didn't have to see him die...messed up stuff right there

  • did he die?

  • @TheLegitPat No, he did not die, but i was very close. If the ice skate had hit his neck (3mm) Higer, he would've been dead within 2 Minutes :/

  • @BubbleGumMr It*

  • 0:16 is when it happens

  • poor guy...

  • the trainer was a vietnam combat medic. he reached his hand in malarchuck's neck and pinched his artery closed.

  • @brhom58 this is just a crazy accident hockey is actually an amazing sport

  • Cut his throught open >.<

  • Wow... I was not expecting that.. I want to throw up

  • you guys have crazy violance sport , it is unhuman sport how could you like it ? i hate it , because it is an outrage dont you think so ?

  • @brhom58 You are clearly not from America or Canada. Hockey is the shit! What sports do you like??? Soccer? pfffft they have riots over that gay ass sport.

  • @tromaavenger The Canucks. Just saying.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeah im from France not usa or canada and i like soccer its much interesting and worlwide than the offensive Rocky !! and you CAN NOT deny this fact

  • that's no goal, they're inside the crease...

  • hahaha when the camera zoomed back out " awhh shit man" *zoom out*

  • man that´s SICK ! :O

  • Awsome music!

  • pay attention to the guy in the black when the guy in the white pushes him, the guy in the black turned and one of his skates hits the goalie in the neck

  • This is one of my best friends dad. Thank god he survived!!!!

  • man, i grabbed my neck

  • the blu player gets hes skates on the goal guard neck

  • I disliked because this was sad i almost cried :<

  • holy fucking shit that will haunt my nightmares forever now, god dammit D:

  • and that ladies and gentlemen is why you wear a fucking neck guard

  • my favorite part was the car comerital

  • Thank God that the trainer Jim Pizzutelli was an Army Combat Medic who served in Vietnam.

  • The music they turned on after the injury just further proves how stupid americans are.

  • the new Buick Riviera...it's a classic

  • I was at that game, It was very traumatic to watch. Thank God that Clint made it through Okay.

  • wow not good I am speechless on this UNREAL

  • I remember watching the Blues telecast, here in St. Louis with my dad. I was 7 and this was the most terrifying thing I ever saw. Still didn't keep me away from the game. I did have nightmares for a while after this, though. Didn't want to go to my next hockey practice. Thought it would happen to me.

  • 1 in a million.. well he happened to have the foot like that ... terrible

  • I did not expect that. I feel sick

  • oh fuck!

  • That medic deserves a medal!

  • oh fuck

  • 666 000 view :/

  • Go to 00:14 and hold down the space bar and you can see what happened better........................This guy survived! S no need to worry ^_^

  • if you see the guy in the blue skate goes up and rips his throat got to go slow mo

  • /????

  • what the hell happened there??? that's horrible!

  • @bananersammler Got a skate to the neck.

  • I watched this a couple times to see what happened but I couldnt see it I don't see how the ice skate blade hit the neck????

  • @K3cwalk The guy in the blue jersey one hit the goalie in the neck not the white one I think u was looking at the white one Maybe. Just look at it again :)

  • @K3cwalk guy in blue falls on his ass and his leg goes up a bit at the same time the goalie goes down after the puck = ice skate blade hits neck

it happens behind the guy in white's legs

  • @K3cwalk 00:15 you cant because his teammate is blocking the view of the opposing teams player who accidentally slit his aorta artery

  • @K3cwalk happened just too quick.

  • @K3cwalk stop it at 16 seconds. when#4 in the white checks that other guy his legs come up and he slits Malarchuk's throat

his life was saved by Jim Pizzutelli the team's athletic trainer and a former army medic who had served in Vietnam. He reached into Malarchuk's neck and pinched off the bleeding, not letting go until doctors arrived to begin suturing the wound. Still, Malarchuk came within minutes of becoming only the second fatality to result from an on-ice injury in NHL history

  • @K3cwalk i think that the guy in the black on the opposite team hit him when the guy in the white shoved him out of the way. (the ones who were right next to the goal!!!!!

  • @K3cwalk when the guy was checked into the net, and #4 was blocking the view, the guy's skate slit his throat

  • @K3cwalk ikr it looked like he got hit by the other guys hand or arm

  • @K3cwalk view is blocked dude

  • @K3cwalk At 0:16 you can see #4 slam into the guy in blue, who topples over, landing on his back with his legs in the air. At the same time the goalie is pushed down by #4 as well and the iceskate hits the goalie in the throat. It happened in a split second.

  • @BarneySaysHi lmao SPLIT second

  • @BarneySaysHi 'split second' i see what you did thar

  • @K3cwalk When the guy in white hit the guy in black, the guy in black's skate cut the goalies throat when he was in the middle of being hit and right before he hit the ground in the net. You can see it but the guy in white is kind of blocking it.

  • lol at the Buick Riviera music

  • Thumb up only for the surviveby this person who stayed calm an gives best first cares to him!!!!

  • sad did he die

  • @harry88075 Clint Malarchuk lived---and two factors contributed to his survival:

    1. At that arena, the Zamboni exit was directly behind his net; had he been in goal at the other end of the arena, he wouldn't have made it.

    2. The then-Sabres medic was a former Vietnam War vet who knew how to treat something like this.

  • omg im so relived he srurvived

  • Oh my god. Nearly retched. Dear god, hope he was ok

  • im about to cry this is so fucked up

  • The guy did survive. There was a guy there that delt with stuff like that.

  • What happened??

  • @sob1411 Uwe Krupp and Steve Tuttle wwere tied up by the Sabres goal, and Tuttle's skate came up and slashed Clint Malarchuk (the Sabres goalie in net) in the neck. Halfway through, you see the end result---and that's all Malarchuk's blood on the ice of the Aud in the upper center of your screen.

  • @AEMoreira81 wow that must have been sad or scary to see!

  • Addvertisment*

  • this guy survived :)

  • @gamer18881 puh... !!!!

  • holy shit

  • Holy shit...

  • @MrKilaklown I feel so sick for saying this but.... LOL

  • did he die??

  • @funnypurplebear no, Malarchuk's life was saved by the team's trainer, Jim Pizzutelli, a former Army medic who had served in Vietnam. He reached into Malarchuk's neck and pinched off the bleeding, not letting go until doctors arrived to begin suturing the wound

  • omg how did that even happen jezuzs thats brutal.

  • Is there srsly people telling me he should be fine? I don't care if your body is colder and it's pumping blood slower. It hit a main vein, he would have died if his trainers and medical staff took a few seconds longer, he's lucky that he survived that.

  • I have to buy a new keyboard i don't like typing with puke all over it.

  • he was lucky that a war veteran was their to save his life

  • Gash to the throat but he did survive
