The difference between Israel's issues in Gaza isn't the same as sovereign nations conflicts. Israel isn't trying to annihilate everyone in Gaza. They are trying to stop rocket attacks from people who say Israel has no right to exist. The only way Israel can stop the rocket attacks is to kill themselves.

What war crimes specifically? My understanding is that Israel was kicked out of Gaza so they put up a blockade to Gaza and a militant/terrorist group that is "elected" by the people of Gaza is launching rockets from Gaza into Israel now. The only argument that I've heard is their use of "disproportionate force" which is bullshit b/c was is about winning through decimating your enemy. But I want to know what crimes they are committing to better understand the other side of the argument.

Israel is an outlaw state that has defied several UN resolutions. They unlawfully occupy territories and impose collective punishment of people. Some Israeli officials have been quite open about targeting civilian areas. Israel has an open policy of ethnic cleansing. In 1948 the drove out a million people, drove out a million more in 1967 and surrounded and imprisoned 3 million, even after being denounced in the UN.

This seems a little over the top to not have heard about it but I'll look into it myself. It seems to me that they have to be more aggressive with all their neighbors (at least back in the 40s, 50s, 60s) openly calling for death to Israel. Ironic, too, that the UN created Israel. On a personal note, the UN can go to hell and I encourage every nation to disobey they outright.

Its not "over the top", its unfortunate historical fact. Israel is occupying territories. It's as simply as that, and I dont see why people dont understand that THAT is the cause of terrorism, which is "terrorism" itself. Is the Native Americans came into Ohio, for example, with tanks and forced their way in there and imprisoned and killed Ohioans, I'm sure that Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania and West Virginia would want it to cease to exist.

I just like to verify claims people make especially with such serious claims as the one's you just mentioned. I wasn't meaning it to sound like I didn't believe you.

That's a funny analogy. In that situation I'm sure liberals would demand that everyone leave Ohio and give it back to the native Americans. :P I understand where Israel came from but I still contend that the UN messed up.

As for the origin of terrorism, I don't agree. There's many others possible reasons. Even simpler reasons.

And the cause of terrorism is imperialism. That's the main, central point. Sort of like what Ron Paul or Pat Buchanan would argue.

Israel withdrew from Gaza because it was beneficial for them to move into the West Bank and expand their land and influence there because that area is richer. So it would be like the United States in 1950 ending slavery in a state with a population of 1 million while expanding slavery in an area with 10 million. Besides, Israel still essentially controls Gaza, as they control their borders.
