For the group of collosal idiots who complained about this I have this to say. These animals are pests, do you swat flies in your house? If so you're pretty much doing what these guys are doing. The large rifles are more humane too, because the little rats have a breif instant of pain before sweet oblivion. Thats much better then dying slowly of poison or being burned to death. This also helps keep farm animals like cows and horses from breaking their legs. Think about that next horse ride.

These rats are going to die whether I kill them or the rancher / farmer poisons them (which gets in to our food supply) or burns them (filling their holes with gas). Groundhogs are vermin, and groundhog holes kill thousands of horses, cows, and other livestock every year. They step into the holes and their legs get snapped. They die horrible, painful and slow deaths unless the farmer or rancher finds them and puts them out of their misery.
