Well i got this phone for quite some months. I dropped it like more than 6 times and only problem is the kickstand's sensivity got too much higher than before so i disable it but it really only scratch the metal part only not the internal part of phone. And also its high resolution of about 3200+ x 2400+ allows you to take high quality photos. It is the last version of s60v3 software.

I'm really happy with this phone, finally a smartphone with a REAL CAMERA AND REAL BUTTONS!!! the best in the n86 is the shape and ergonomics, with a confortable alphanumeric keypad. good materials, good building.

The camera is "normal" with the default firmware, but the improvement firm 21.xx the real colors and sharpeness in all pictures are GREAT AND AMAZING, with face detection.

@Railroadmaster I'd rather buy the N8 when it comes out. Because future N series would be MeeGo devices. And although it looks great, it will take at least 2-3 years to be developed fully (apps and everything) and if u buy the N9 now, you might not get to enjoy the real MeeGo experience. Besides, most of us use our phones for ~3 years. So I'd rather buy the N8 and enjoy its features today and then switch over to MeeGo when it is totally developed and finished with apps and everything.

N900 hardwer is better than the N8's. Not just the clock signal is the important. The material part and who produce that is also important. For example the powerVR is even better than the Broadcom in the N8. I dont know whisch processor is in the N8. But the N900's OMAP is good. And the OS is better too. Finally you can overclock the N900 and install the Android which OS can runs more games and the Palm Pre-s games are also can install to the N900's hacked android version.

I've had this phone for two weeks now....it's amazing. It does everything. I'm already used to the buttons and all its functions. You can personalize it really well, any way you want. Camera is fast and amazing. I love face detection. Press back, and in one second you're ready to take another picture. Video quality is great, too. Plus video light while you record. One of my favorite things though, is that it has an FM transmitter :-) it's the best phone ever....i really recommend it to anyone

nickgm313 I have the N86, and it's a good phone with a great camera. But something that annoys me, is that it supports very few games. On my N96 i had a lot of fun games, lots of Need For Speed games and so on...but it's impossible to download those games to the N86 for some strange reason. So if you're really into having lots of games on your mobile, maybe you should chose the SonyEricsson.. : )

One thing I love about the N86 though, is that it has an FM-sender in it! So that you can listen to your music on any FM-radio at all, for instance your car stereo or whatever. Brilliant! No need for any Bluetooth or any wires or anything. And of course you can use NOKIA's TV-out cable on it and watch video, pictures or whatever else you do on the phone on a TV-screen. And it has all sorts of programs and features you can imagine, too. N86 is a really good phone all in all: )

i have used one for over 6 weeks now.. wouldnt recomend...and dont use carphone warehouse.. they will not take back. The software is faulty.. facebook mobile is limited and often crashes out right as your typing. Same happens with all online pages..the c button instead of deleting.. sometimes ends application. Nokia still have not updated software. Also you cannot upload pictures via internet.... and the panorama feature on the camera looks good though isnt really very accurate.

the phone does not support upload through gsm. Vodaphone made this possible on the n95 with a piece of software called my communities. And nokia made this possible on the n97 with some software written exclusively for that series of phone. (doesnt work on n85)
