  • He won't get 2 for a takedown unless he spins behind you and has control, I don't know about you armyman104 but no one could do that to me.

  • yeah, but with the first move you dont fly to the ground, the he will jump on you and even though you got a point for getting a neutral, he will get 2 for a take down, you need to stay on your foot and throw your hips

  • also what DVD is this ?

  • Im looking at this stuff to help my mma, would any of you say this was applicable for me.I think it could help if someone takes my back standing.I have seen it a few times in fights, but not sure ;/

  • @anderson12ization Probably not. A lot of wrestling is contradictary to the positions you want to be in MMA. If he has your back standing he would probably put in a choke unless you pop your hips out quickly. Just see what your coaches or whoever helps you says.

  • The only critique I can give for this video is the left arm is posted on the sit out. If that's posted then it's susceptible to an arm bar, any decent wrestler could catch it in an instant.

  • with the hip heist when you sit out you could also do the firehose its like a arm bar but when you get them on their back you T it off

  • good

  • what is the best instructional videos out there for the middle school kids that have about 3 years experience. All input welcome! Thanks.

  • suscribe to the wrestling mall on here , good instructional videos. is abandoned account so dont bother asking it questions.the dan gable videos awesome. once u get to high school u can do dan gable wrestling camps. its better to pack on muscle weightlifting and go up a class then it is to cut muscle and go down a class.

  • anything by dan gable

which is the same guy narrating this video

and maybe Ben Askren is you feel like doing weird stuff

but go gable all the way everyword he says is golden

  • @happygilx For the top position, gene mills' video series is the best that I've seen. For neutral, any superstar's video tape will be sufficient.

  • I learned a pretty awesome move, but its risky. Its kind of like a granby roll except you hold on to there arm and roll them over with you for a pin.

  • Peterson?

  • on the last sitout his arm is posted on the mat for waaay to long. a good wrestler will rip that back

  • Comment removed

  • thats why its called a mat d

    umbshit

  • when you sit in and back up, you gotta maintain balance and circle with the top man because the top man will try to use the momentum and spin you around with a spiral

  • isnt that floor they are rolling on quite hard, man i wonder when they get slammed on that floor.

  • they're on a mat, it doesn't hurt that much getting slammed

  • whups haha that was my brother but yeah ive seen this work :P

  • this is good stuff, except on the stand-up he should step more to the right instead of straight ahead, so he has more distance/room to work with, and he is already 1 step ahead of the guy...

and also on the stand up, he should clear his left arm so that the guy can't do a breakdown on him. Once he controls the opponent's right hand with HIS right hand, THEN he can put his left hand on it too to push it down to the side or whatever. but he must clear the hand first- stops an elbow chop, etc.

  • standups 1 of the best

  • that hip heist stuff seems stupid.

thats not gunna work unless you're wrestling a guy who sucks ass

  • i do it all the time. no one in college wrestling has been able to hold me down.

  • what division?

  • it works as long as you dont let him get right back on you. It definitely breaks the grip quick

  • I thought this was Dan Gable stuff? I'm pretty sure it worked for him.

  • go do a peterson roll in your next match and not hip heist after the roll can you say pined!

  • that stand up was retarded and would never work if the top man was attempting a breakdown.

  • so you do a sit out.

  • the only reason dan gable could pull this off is cuz he was a fucking mutant. the bottom guy doesnt even clear the arm

  • holy shit is this abe from EF? cuz its shane. and u have a mssage from bay on ur channel

  • then you need to get faster and pivot. and maybe try to granby

  • lmfao. hi shane.

  • I'm sure he knows that, it was a demonstration in steps.

  • not if you're good at standing up

  • @lovemym16 Not true.

  • Pretty nice, I've never done the hip hiest thing, but I always do the sitout. I'll have to try this in my match next week.

  • TY TY TY
