I really want Amanda to drop pairs and put all her focus into singles. Her jumps are amazing, and she could be a top contender.

For this girl to reach her full potential she's going to have to drop pairs skating at some point. She can't do as difficult a program as some of the other girls doing double duty but i like her style. She has a understate grace about her.

She gets incredible height and distance on her jumps, she just flies across the ice.

She has a nice smile and it's just plastered on her face throughout the whole program. She seems like a sweet girl.

really good effort on the combination, the music is the one like alissa czisnys in 2004 and it works, that piece is so beautiful anyone can easily feel the theme of it, amanda looks great hope to see her skate more :)

I agree she shows tremendous promise..she seems to get both height AND distance in her jumps which is rare and wonderful to see...and her air and landing positions are absolutely exquisite. She has characteristics that are reminiscent of 1960 Olympic champion Carol Heiss...very wholesome & feminine.

I'd like to see her improve her body line,posture and layback free leg position but she seems to have a soild foundation and I hope to see more in the future.

@gandy74 her leg position in her layback is textbook perfect. extended behinded her rather than to the side. Lovely turnout of the foot and the calf is parallel to the ice. Compared to many other higher ranked skaters, hers is stunning

@sk8trjess I concur her layback is far superior to those of many higher ranked skaters(especially some of the horrors displayed by a number of the European and Asian ladies) and generally she presents an pleasant layback position.

However, I stand by my statement. IMHO her free leg is not in ideal attitude allongee position as her knee is slightly bent, causing her thigh to set at approx. a 30 degree angle from her perfectly parallel calf.

Crazy sounding I know. But I know what I like.
