The stimulus package, often criticized as runaway spending, had over $300 billion in TAX CUTS - nearly half of the stimulus (I thought that's what conservatives liked). Did you know when clinton we had no debt what-so-ever? However because of Bush we are trillions in debt. In my opinion Obama is doing a fine job even if it has been a bit "slow."

It's not that he couldn't do what he wanted, it's that he DID do what he wanted that sent the economy spiraling into the toilet.
If he'd just sat back after tarp and let the natural process of capitalism take its course, we'd be pulling out by now. But, that's not the authoritarian socialist way...

yes we can pick between the first business party, the Democrats, and at best have them implement half measures that mostly benefit the rich elite, or we pick the second business party, the Republicans, and have them create a 'smaller government' which means taking austerity measures while still supporting corporate welfare and the erosion of our civil liberties.
