@pedrofribeiro there is no F6, to my knowledge no recording of her singing a high F exists, Zerbinetta is the highest role she ever sang, which has an E

@skitzo429 The final note in the cadenza(5:14-5:21) is an F6. There are other records of this performance where the audio is little bit more clear and you can hear it, bright as day. About the highest note, well, Ms.Battle's highest role was Zerbinetta, but in recitals she usually sang High Fs, and in a particular show-off performance with Frederica Von Stade, Ms.Battle sang a High Bb.

@pedrofribeiro You seem to be confused, the high note youre talking about in this recording is an Eb6. I dont know what piece youre talking about with Von Stade, but if you think she sang a Bb above high F youre definitely wrong. She has never to my knowledge publically performed anything high than E6, it seems highly unlikely she would in recital, ive seen her in recital

Battle, in fact, made her operatic debut in 1975 as Rosina (Michigan Opera), and has sung the role many times. She starred in the 1990 Met production of Il barbiere, which is available on DVD. A great artist, with a complex personality, which eventually got her fired from the Met in 1994. She has not sung in a staged opera since then. On November 23, 2008, she performed Superwoman on the American Music Awards with Alicia Keys and Queen Latifah. A very strange trio, to say the least

I don't know if she took the part in theatre, but she recorded it with Abbado, in what is considered to be one of the worst recordings EVER (Frank Lopardo, Domingo, Gallo, Raimondi and Battle with Carlos Chausson as Fiorello)
