Hi Scott,

yes, this is my most relaxed tune. I composed it during my vacation on the North Sea island Föhr and had in mind to accompany a picture show. I don't know if it really works as a solo piece without the pictures. But it was much fun to put both together.

Yeah, Vic, I put some more effects on this one to give landscape feelings. The pictures needed a calm, slow melody. I'm glad you like the combination of music and pictures. This little windmill might remind you of the Netherlands!?

wunderschönes Stück und toller Sound. Ich weiß allerdings nicht warum Du das als simple und easy bezeichnest. In solch einer Perfektion wie Du das spielst ist dies alles andere als easy. Ich würde sogar sagen das ist verdammt schwer solch eine Stimmung mit einer Gitarre aufzubauen und zu transportieren.

es macht mich sehr froh, dass dir Sound und Stück so gut gefallen. Gerade bei einer Eigenkomposition macht das Mut. Du hast natürlich recht, gerade diese ruhigen Stücke haben es in sich, will man sie mit dem nötigen Gefühl spielen. Da darf es keine Unsicherheit geben. Aber die Fingersätze und Wechsel sind technisch nicht besonders anspruchsvoll, alles liegt schön bei einander. Ich hoffe nur, das Stück wirkt auch noch ohne die Bilder.

On my steelstring guitars I use D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze light strings. The tuning is dropped D. This is a very fine guitar for open tunings, made of German Spruce and Brazilian Rosewood by a German luthier named Knut Welsch (Erlangen, South Germany). A wonderful sounding instrument.

Ein Musikstück muß nicht kompliziert sein um schön zu sein. Diese Komposition gefällt mir sehr sehr gut. Der Ton der Gitarre ist auch sehr angenehm.

Es freut mich sehr, wenn meine ruhige Komposition dir gefällt. Manchmal sind gerade die weniger komplizierten (und aufregenden) Stücke diejenigen, die einen berühren. Es kommt aber auch immer auf die Stimmung an, in der man sich gerade befindet. Für diese Bilder brauchte ich etwas Ruhiges, Besinnliches. Solche vermeintlich "einfachen" Stücke sind oft eine Herausforderung an den "guten" Ton.

Ja, es war wie es and der Küste oft ist - von allem etwas. Bedeckte Tage mit 4 Grad C bis sonnig und wolkenlos bei 20 Grad. Ich hab mir natürlich die stimmungsvollsten Bilder herausgesucht - und ein bisschen mit der Software gespielt. Das Stück habe ich gleich auf der Insel geschrieben (ohne Gitarre fahre ich nicht weg!) Alles zusammen zu basteln hat mir viel Spaß gemacht - ich freue mich sehr, dass dir das Ergebnis gefällt!

Bernd! This is so beautiful! Many Americans will be enlightened to see you can have a serene seaside sojourn in Germany -- not merely castles along the Rhine and Oktoberfest accordions! I was amazed at the 02:50 shot where a family (?) at the shoreline's ebbtide becomes focal point between frostlike textured sand and pale blue water. that was a wonderful holiday and we go back to Föhr in autumn. Germany has a lot to offer to visitors, maybe I could give someone an appetite for the Northshore.
