  • Our 318Ti was spinning at around 6-7K_rpm it made that with LS and without LS def could never figureout why i loved it all they way until we sold it

A Dude From SF if you are reading it I Made it happen (RED 318TI w/Dual Vanos)

  • who ever build 318Ti with a straight 6 dual vanos engine

I know I Did (plus two more)

    Thumbs up

  • @cataha Believe it or not, in addition to the featured car, there are 2 more of these monsters (and a 600 hp turbo version) in our local BMW club.

  • lmfao why....whywhywhwyhwyhwyhh would you do all that work on a 318 lmfao

  • i bet no-one has ever asked this but what what does bfh mean?

  • @Kyshall Big f***ing hammer

  • beautiful and clean job

    well done

  • cool! I own a stock 323ti six cilinder ti with some suspension upgrades myself.

This kind of triggered my initial Idea of converting it to m3 spec again.

  • @JSPRFRDKS it would be a waste of money in your situation .

i mean your engine M52B25 already got the potential to keep up with M3 (US spec) so why change it...just install M50 Inlet manifold , sport (tubular )exhaust manifold and whole exhaust too of coarse *( 328 exhaust is good choice ), and 540 intake intake Tube . after that you got 230 ~ 240 N/A Hp from 2.5cc , what else you want mean :)

  • @giodemon Hey thanx, I think that is the more realistic approach. I'm looking into giving it a small rebuild, and changing the intake manifold, exhaust (with 328 headers) and a shrick cam.

  • @JSPRFRDKS yah man, good luck with it :)

  • Nice car. Came to my shop for tire work yesterday.

  • that was an awsome build process. i have a 95 ti. what year was yours and what year of m3 engine did put in it? how much would the build have been if you just did the engine swap none of the upgraded suspension?

  • Very inspiring :D

  • how many man hours did it take ?

  • looked for your articles didn't find em on your site..... loved the vid Im not ready to let go of my 1.8 engine yet but there is definitly lots that need to be done so yah I might start of with the brakes, im thinking about switching over to ceramic brakes as I need new brakes and drums

  • @robertlive2002 We're still working on the articles (and additional videos) Subscribe to our channel (and "like us" on facebook) and be one of the first to see them as we get them uploaded. We have a few brake upgrades in our Performance Parts catalog at AutoWerksofAmerica but have a lot more available. Call us at (888) 4A-Werks to get more info.

  • jeeez, i've always felt disappointed I went into IT instead of being a mechanic but I aint disapointed no more as looks a f'ing nightmare!!!!!

  • @groMMit1981 Robert, the owner/builder of this car, is also in IT. He, and I, find this work to be therapeutic, not to mention, fun.

  • @AutoWerksofAmerica looks a hell of alot of fun, but i'd stress out not knowing what goes where but can def seen it being great for destressing after being stuck behind desk all day:) better then any custom pc build i've seen!

  • @groMMit1981 - You learn by starting with simple things (like brake, induction, exhaust & suspension upgrades and general repairs) and work your way up. You build confidence in your abilities that way. Eventually you could take on a project like this. We've started a series of how-to articles & videos at our website. We have only uploaded one how-to video so far, but there are 2 others in production and 3-4 more in planning.

  • @groMMit1981 Subscribe to our channel and get a look at these videos as we post them. You can also link to our website for more information and parts.

  • @AutoWerksofAmerica i will but out of interest only as i don't have the cash nore space for such work. i'm sticking to cycling which i love and saving to do a custom with carbon belt drive and likely nuvinci hub

  • @groMMit1981 Thanks and good luck with the bike.

  • I actually own that very same car. Cool video..

  • Stay tuned: We've got more like this coming

  • This is the type of thing I love to see, Excellent video and the perfect motor swap for a 318ti!
