Saw the Toronto (Canada) premiere this evening at the Interior Design Show. Awesome documentary! One thing that stands out to me is Eames wanted to bring great furniture design to the masses and have it affordable. He did that in the 1040s in partnership with Herman Miller. Herman Miller continues to this day to manufacture and distribute Eames' chair designs. However today, the 1946 molded plywood chair retails for $779 US; not exactly priced "for the masses"!!!

WORTH watching, don't be suspicious. It has a very professional approach full of information , with no stretching or repeating the story (like f.i. on NG). It gives you a look in their personalities too, outside the successful studio. DO watch, and pay attention during the Cold war fair in Russia part- Charles was a big soul of a man! :')

I like James Franco, but something about his demeanor and the way he speaks suggests to me that he doesn't know what he's talking about — a bad quality for a narrator to possess.

@PatrickHumphreys I think you might be right in saying it sounds like he doesn't know what he is talking about, but after some research I've come to believe he does. I guess he has a Phd in English at Yale, and plans to attend the Rhode Island School of Design. Sounds like some impressive credentials to me. He'll always sound like Saul the drug dealer to me though haha
