Of course no ones gonna believe someone who says the worlds gonna end in a year, everyone would think hes crazy. I am a christian and i do believe we live in the end time era, but the world could end in 200-500 years, it says in the bible, no man, not even the angels of heaven knows the date of the end of the world, but only God himself. think about it...our life time is a blink of an eye compared to eternity, when God says we live in the days of end times it could mean in several generations

@patchtim I don't know how we could be living in the end of times if it's going to be another 200 to 500 years, before the world ends. If you want a little advice, start doing some research on how many end of times predictions were made in the past.

i live on long island , everyone of my friends on facebook r saying there was a loud booming . i was sleeping so i couldnt hear it , but i do feel like its going to happen . i always were thinking that it wouldnt , but its starting to scare me .. and theres also going to be a hurricane here on sunday . there was also an earhquake the other day .

@Heather1x0 Relax. There is no increase in the number of natural disasters. With a possible but not certain exception of a slight increase of weather phenomena due to global warming (man made). The reason you hear about it is because news travels faster now days than ever before. If you hear about increasing number of deaths that isn't strange at all. After all since the global population has doubled many times over in the last centuries anything else would be very strange. Have a good life.

Wisdom trumps intelligence... would that fall into the same category as intelligence creates rational minded thinking? Christians who don't question Christianity, don't fall into my category of rational minded individuals.

If God is control of everything, would that include world starvation, torture, rape, murder, genocide, cruelty towards animals and the worst thing of all, Christianity.  A religion based on beliefs that cannot and haven't ever been validated. Just think about what you're saying, that's all I'm asking.

@didgodsaythat Mankinds own natural born depravity accounts for those things you mention and, yes, I re-examine my beliefs often just as the Bible says we should. From the smallest particles to the expanse of just our own Galaxy, our own solar system and the perfect home we inhabit here on earth which provides just the right conditions for our existence, all indicate creation rather than coincidence or cosmic fluke.

@didgodsaythat Glad to hear you don't smoke dope. There may be hope for you yet! The 'what about the other Gods' argument has only gained traction the past 25 years or so. School of Oprah 'all roads lead to heaven new age spoutings'. If it is the god of the Hindu's, as an example, then I guess many of us are out of luck, but I waste not a nanosecond worrying about it. My God, and yours too, is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

@didgodsaythat God made a pact with Abraham that his decendants would be blessed (forevermore) as long as they worshiped and obeyed him. Those decendants, including the USA, Britain and Canada have endured and prospered as no other through the centuries and have come out on top in all their adversity & wars. This blessing ceased when these nations in the 1960's, 70's etc. began turning away from God in earnest and embracing drugs, abortion, 'living together', gay marriage, easy divorce etc.

@didgodsaythat This turning away from the God of our ancestors (not S.Asian Hindu) has lead to the troubles America has had. From the Vietnam debacle to the coming economic meltdown, the rise of America's enemies ( China and Islam) and family breakdown etc. The last generation will face natural disasters and disease pandemics like never before, not to mention global war on all fronts. This is the price of sin and worse is coming to America especially. A never ending period of storms and chaos.

@utubnik I have a hard time believing that China and Islam are rising against America, for religious reasons. They're waging economic war on this country, because of greed and self satisfaction. There is a war going on and they're hiding behind the name of God, but I believe that it has more to do with power and money that religion.

@didgodsaythat Whatever their conscious reasons may be, it is God raising them up in power and influence while, at the same time, diminishing American dominance and strength. But it is not being done to 'reward ' or 'bless' either China or rising Islam, but instead to punish America and the western nations descended of the tribes of Israel. You are NOT going to see a U.S. resurgence. There will be no real economic recovery or positive outcomes in Iraq, Afghanistan etc. It's seat belt time.

The Bible. The book you hate. I don't hate the Bible, I just don't like how it has been used, by irrational individuals who claim to have the ability to interpret it, correctly, but don't bother to research into its origins.

Like you, I also consider myself a 'truth-seeker' and if I didn't believe Christianity has truth above other religions and ideologies, I'd drop it in 2 seconds. The Bible says we're flawed (by sin) and CANNOT go our own way without descending into the exact course we are now on. Even with just the history of the 20th century HOW can you 'believe' in humanity? Just because man-tainted churches make errors doesn't diminish the holiness of God.

If you're interested in finding out where I'm really coming from, you should start doing some research into the origins of Christianity and the Holy Bible. Why would anyone want to follow any religion that honestly cannot be validated?

You WILL see events worldwide, but especially in the U.S., well before 'old-age' that will open your eyes to the explanation that you have already been given. And it's that God is sovereign and in control of EVERYTHING for his own purposes, everything happens for a reason and there are NO coincidences. America's sin is above all others and her judgement will be most severe.

There aren't any coincidences, God loves you and America will be judged, but I say to you, do you actually have any proof.  You can't just walk around your backyard, looking at all of the plants and trees and then tell me that God exists. Gimme some evidence, something that actually makes sense.
