did you hand polinate? I went thru the same thing with my tomatoes, one trick you can use is a small electrick toothbrush, by placing against the flowers the vibrations will push out the pollen into the neighboring flowers.
do you know what the pumpkins are called that have weird knotty growths covering them, ive seen um at pumpkin patches. are they just strain mutations?
I saw they way that pumpkin was looking at you. You were right to do a preemptive strike. Good thing you had that training! Can't wait to see you hydro updates. Good luck in 2012!
@MIgardener The Big Zacs were just clones from my Summer plants. I'm not sure if I'll do them again. They seem to rot really fast right when they turn red.
I'm glad to see updates for this season. Your past videos were inspiring and motivational and got me to start trying hydroponic gardening. Looking forward to seeing future updates!
@dianemummvideos I never saved seeds from them before. Hopefully these work. I had a hard time finding seeds that would germinate but found some from The Cooks Garden that all germinated. I think that company is just Burbee's fancy spin off.
Thats quite a variety for a hydro garden. I'm almost ready to get my feet wet with this stuff...almost ! I hope you do more updates so I can learn from what you're doing. And you had every right to kill the pumpkin....looked like he had a pocket knife behind his back ! LOL
Yea! Glad to see the indoor garden is starting up. I'm also starting up again but won't have anywhere near the variety you're doing. Seed catalogs have been rolling in like crazy and I drool over each and every one... That's one of my favorite things to do this time of year. Happy New Year!
