Just because a lot of English go to Val d'isère does not mean the station couldn't live without you...Tourist from east europe come also a lot when you don't..

For those wondering, this was piste "S" and it was open on this day. Plenty of people had been down it before as you can see.

Conditions were getting a bit warm hence the slab decided to slide! - Not very far and there was no chance of it reaching the piste below where this piste joins. However I am now VERY careful about where I board.

its allways scary wwith avalanches. but i dont think it could have gone so bad cause there was a piste there that maybe would have stoped it

No, just gave me the willies. Looks bigger than it was but gave me a short sharp shock. Now am a lot more savvy about going off piste.
