  • what is the shelf life? N do it have to be stored in the fridge?

  • @ChalereTV not sure, but it probably can be stored for quite some time and I did not leave mine in the fridge, I kept it in my bathtub.

  • There look soo amazing! :D I love those little jars too! So cute and creative

  • @xxbrexx122 thanks :)

  • This sounds great!! Can't wait to try it!! :D

  • thanks so much for the recipe!!! it was so amazing!!!! you inspired me to start making my own yummy stuff!!!!!!! love ya!!!!!!!!!!!!xoxo

  • @dmhartner you are so welcome! I need to make a few more soon :)

  • You said 1 tsp lemon juice then 2-4 lemons ? that would actually be more than one tsp of juice then right ?

  • where can you get these jars from? thanks!

  • @tamu1750 anywhere that sells canning jars.

  • wow am i ever happy i found your channel! I MUST try this! Thank you for posting such great videos.

Love from your new Subscriber :)

  • @islandBesosMakeup Thanks! So glad that you liked it :)

  • 2 $ a lemon!!!! OMG are they coated with GOLD. Those things grow in my backyard like wild flowers, more than I can think of what to do with them. I need to start selling them to the GS. :)

  • @SuchaCaligrrl offer them to neighbors, put them in a box out front of your place with a sign, 'free', or offer them to a local shelter. They would probably love to make fresh lemonade or lemon bread :)

  • Can I use regular salt?!

  • @CallMeJodie I wouldn't

  • Great video!!!!!! I'm sooooo giving these as Christmas/Hanukah presents!!!! Thanx!

  • I'm going to give the as christmas gifts :D thanks for the great idea :]

  • @hollistercutieful sweet! :)

  • Thanks I will do these as x-mas gifts.

  • @elf0303 you're welcome

  • @rileyshimmer09 u can usually get them at any craft store.

  • i love this and plan on doing these for Christmas gifts but where did you buy these little jars at? :)

  • Thanks for the recipe :) Can I also use normal salt or better not?

  • Beth, I want to make these as little extra gifts for x-mas, but wasn't sure how far in advance can I make these? How can I store them so the sugar wont melt??

  • @lrsosa31 You shouldn't have to worry about it. I still have some upstairs and it is doing good

  • Finally found a good recipe, thanks!! Every other one I've tried has turned out "pasty". This is great. I added some lavender oil, because I love lavender!

  • @kmasciotti ahh me too. The two smells didn't contrast one another?

  • @CookingAndCrafting It smells great! I also added some lemon essential oil, but the lavender does smell stronger. Next time I'll add more lemon oil.

  • @kmasciotti hm thanks , I am going to try it. Lavender is my favorite scent but I fear people who don't like it back up a pace or two when I'm around ;)

  • Where did you get the jars, they are very pretty! I can't find any like them, and I want to make some for my family for Christmas!

    Please reply, thanks!

  • @hamandbaloni I get jars at Ross or Walmart. Try Ross, though. They always have really nice ones.

  • I can't wait to try this. But I must say I feel so incredibly blessed, I thought our prices are horrible, but I got a bag of 8 lemons (small ones) for for $1.50. Have you ever added any body soap so it's a soap/scrub?

  • @TezzyDarling Nope, I haven't done that!

  • wait i have one question plz anwser if u dont use salt does it go bad quicker?? how long without salt would it last??

  • @JoansStyleMusic The salt is what helps it be a scrub. I suppose you could get by with just the sugar. Again, it is all natural stuff... and I do not have the answer to that. You are just going to have to play it by ear

  • @CookingAndCrafting thx so much

  • NICE, am LOVING it

One Q: Does it get spoiled or develop some kind of mold after couple of weeks or even months...?

    THANX aLOT 4 posting =D

  • @SHioo5iH Nope. I think the salt preserves the zest. I had this for a month or two and it was fine.

    Glad you are enjoying :)

  • Yummo! I'm gonna make this..I have a huge lemon tree in my garden that's brimming with fruit :)

  • @Bramble1976 Lucky!! They are so expensive here

  • does the lemon zest create a bathroom drain issue?

  • @lunerwerewolf we're talking zest here, not lemon peel.

  • How long does this last??? oh and i Love this tutorial!!!

  • @JoansStyleMusic I think I was still using it up by 3-4 months.

  • Thx for this it works real good and i So wanna try one of ur cooking things

  • @JoansStyleMusic Hope you do!

  • can u use rock salt????

  • hi i have a question it would be awesome if you could answer :)

after applying the scrub are u supposed to wash your body with body wash?

    thanks so much

    Lauren

  • @videogirl1024 I use this after everything..it leaves a little bit of the oil on your skin, making it nice and soft

  • @CookingAndCrafting thank you!!

  • i love you videos they are so helpful i am going to make this for a family member as a christmas present! :)

  • @SallyLouiseJane Thanks :)

  • @CookingAndCrafting no problem :)

  • I love all your videos. so no you're not uploading too many

  • @reezyrai92 Thank you :)

  • Awesome!!

  • @glamourgirl001002 thanks :)

  • @CookingAndCrafting ur welcum :))

  • This is awsome thx u i must say im so happy that this video has no dislikes luckily u dont have any trolls:)......is it okay to add honey though?

    thx for the vid 8D!

  • @theoriginalanimeker I have lots of trolls now that don't bother going back to watch old stuff, but they certainly down-thumb me a lot lately. Idiots.. I don't get it? Anyway, I wouldn't add too much honey, but I don't see why you couldn't!

  • What about any body lotion (:

It's just that I really like your video's because there so clear and I love them so so so much!

    Thanks kass (:-33

  • Hey (: could you do a video on a really easy bodybutter? I have to leave to Italy in 4 day's and all I watch are your videos for bath stuff there amazing. Please and in your video tag me cause that would be amazing! So please help me out!

Thanks so much love kass (:-3

  • @ROOB3RTSCHANNEL I don't think I have the making for that stuff, sorry

  • This looks great, I'll have to try it once I get a small jar. But I'm a little unsure of one thing; do you mean 6 teaspoons or tablespoons? I heard tablespoons, but then it looked like you were using teaspoons? Or I'm just blind haha. (:

  • @Jirachi68106 The recipe is in the description box, I'm sure!

  • how often do you use it? Is it every day or once a week? Thanks

  • @cutetpies I guess you can use it as often as you feel necessary. I'd go for every few days

  • Thank you for teaching us how to make it. Loveeeeeeee it

  • @BusyBeingFabulous You are so welcome. And if I had a choice I would not shop there either!! They are building a super walmart right now, our very first, and I cannot wait for it to open.

  • @CookingAndCrafting That is better. Walmart is much better compared to SW.

Keep up the good work dear.

  • I am not surprised to hear 2.00 bucks for a lemon. Safeway is very expensive and thats why my fiance decided never to shop there.

  • OMG! 2.00 a lemon?!?! i never wanna move back to hawaii! We're stationed in NC, and our lemons are 5 for a buck! id die. Totally gonna try this! ty for sharing! ur awesome

  • @angelic808 That is at safeway. They are a rip off. I get mine usually at the farmer's market for about what you pay..maybe a little more. I think it's 2-3 for a buck. I didn't preplan. Made this on a Saturday but don't go to the market until Sunday.

  • LOVE IT THANK YOU!!! :))

  • @roxybelle1000 You, my dear, are so welcome :) It smells divine and you can smell it on your skin afterwards for a bit :)

  • Thanks so much for this idea! My friend and I made this last week with grapefruit instead of lemon, and we loved the result! Is there any way that this recipe can be made with something other than citrus?

  • @chantalcolby Definitely! Anything else would be more than fine

  • Oh I forgot to ask you this last night, I went to massage school and they provide massage oil and lotion and I was wondering can I use my massage oil instead of olive oil?

  • @marsha8686 Yes, you can use the massage oils

  • WALMART BRAND!!!!!!!! wait, you zested your thumb? is that part of the ingredients? gnarly

  • @Jake4sale0 blood makes all the recipes better ;)

  • WALMART BRAND!!!!!!!!

  • WALMART BRAND!!!!!!!

  • @Jake4sale0 totally :)

  • This looks to die for!!! im gonna have to try it sooo very soon, but i will try it with olive oil... will it still turn out the same?

  • @marsha8686 Yes, olive oil is one of your choices. The color may vary, since some olive oils are rather green, but it should be no different

  • the end product is soooooooo cute!!!! i like the cloth, i subcribed man, hope u keep makeing vids

  • @Nena3239 Don't you worry. I have a TON of old videos that need to be moved over and I try to do at least one a week

  • Why can't you grow your own lemons in your country? I just assumed it would be like Florida where people have them growing in their back yards.

Lemons usually cost about 35 cents each.

I bought this exact sugar scrub from a store in Michigan and I paid big bucks for it!

I'm lovin' these home-made beauty/bath products you are doing.

  • @yoyomax12 I'm not sure how much it is at the farmer's market. I usually get them there but forgot to get some Sunday, so had to get it at Safeway,..which is really expensive. I think I get 3-4 in a bag for $2-3 at the farmer's market.

Good grief @ spending so much in Michigan.

I have one more of these in the cue waiting to load. Probably my next vid. Then there is another one that I have to still make. I'm still debating that one since you have to make an effort to buy things to make it

  • i got the ingredients today. had to get oranges...lemons were shriveled .. ick

  • @trvlbuggy Good enough!

  • Only one teaspoon of lemon juice?

WHAT? $2.00 a lemon??? Good Lord! Even we have lemons cheaper than that. $0.99 usually - sometimes 75 cents. I love lemon. You don't have to let it dry a little? I guess not - I can almost smell it all the way from here. Very nice. I have to go and squish one of my lemons. You gave me a bit of a craving. - roc

  • @popparoc46 Yes, the oil is what makes you soft and such... I think that the lemon was an afterthought.

Safeway overcharges for EVERYTHING!!! This one you don't let dry. Salts you may.

  • @MACwishin2 Me either--cool twist. I was dismayed to find a little dried up zest on me an hour after my bath! HAHAHA

  • No way are you loading up too may videos. I always enjoy all your videos. Hugs!

  • @imperceptibleme Okay, good. was just a little worried about so many going up

  • $2 a lemon? Wow! The most I have seen them here in Iowa is about 70 to 80 cents. Why is it so much there? Looks like a great scrub that I will have to try!

  • @beccawitch Safeway always over charges for everything. I usually buy them at the farmer's market. MUCH cheaper there but forgot to get them Sunday

  • be careful with epsom salts - too much absorbed through the skin causes diarrhea!

  • @Szbooks9 Never heard that one before and never had that problem!

  • I still pay less, today, for lemons, pineapples, and banana's here on Manhattan island then I did on Oahu 20 yrs ago! Now that's crazy! Right?

  • @MISSBEBEBLUE Yep. But they are way way way cheaper at the farmer's market where I normally buy them

  • hahaha yay jam jars :) love this :) i must try it

  • @bubblewrap64 haha Jammin jelly jars :)

  • @CookingAndCrafting now that is a COOL name ;)

  • i have suscribed to your channel,i love the videos you make, please make more on crafts for the bath or things you can treat yourself with , everything today is soooo expensive,so any treat you can do for yourself is nice, keep up the good work, how often do you use this product,i am gonna make this

  • @brawyn777 I will. I have another one that I need to piece together

  • i have suscribed to your channel,i love the videos you make, please make more on crafts for the bath or things you can treat yourself with , everything today is soooo expensive,so any treat you can do for yourself is nice, keep up the good work,

  • Never too many videos.

  • @susankim51 Good to know :)

  • Not too many vids woman...love these:)

  • @dreamer72fem Thanks--I worry sometimes

  • Beth I refuse to pay more than 50 cents for a lemon! I've started mixing 1 pack unsweetened lemonade koolaid with 2 cups water to add to my drinks and in cooking.

I like it in iced tea

I bet you could use bottled lemon juice in this recipe too. Im going to price the lemon zest in jars from the spice section. It would have be cheaper!! OMG girl, plant those expensive lemon seeds and grow yr own. My wallet actually groaned when you mentioned the cost of lemons!!!!

  • @jcrefasi1 Yeah, normally get them at the farmer's market but forgot to pick them up on Sunday

  • Beth - I love that bowl! It's gorgeous. I'm totally going to do this - I have lemons coming out of my ears - all the rain made them grow like crazy. I wish shipping weren't so expensive; I'd send you a box full. You can juice them and freeze the juice and I'm betting that you could freeze the zest too. I don't bother because there are always more of them, you know? There is no season, they just keep coming. Clearly they like water!

  • @thizizliz Got the bowl at Ross! I may go back to get the other sizes. This one was only $5!!

  • You know I am going to be making this! I am always at Bath and Body buying their scrubs and now I can just make my own.

Can I just say holly crapamolly! $2.00 a lemon! I think I would have left it out lol. Shoo next time I send something your way I'm going to send lemons with it LOL.

OH and you know you can never make enough vids for me. One of the happiest days lately was when you did the vid marathon!

  • @Ultimatecruegirl I just forgot to pick them up at the farmer's market... Safeway SUCKS because they are so flipping expensive

  • You can never do too many videos.

  • @empriss80 Thanks for the feedback :)

  • That has to smell just heavenly! Pretty container.

  • @wildheart5 Thanks --it does!!

  • This looks so nice...good job on the vid. I may try to make some when we can get lemons or oranges without a bank loan.. Thanks for the vid.....never to many for me!

  • @trvlbuggy hahaha yes indeed! I usually get them at the farmer's market for much cheaper but forgot to get them on Sunday

  • I would've thought lemons would be in ample supply on the island but guess not! And I love me anything lemon!! Might have my roomie make some of this for ma feets! :-)

  • @royalschwarz you'd think, right? well, actually I usually get them at the farmer's market for much cheaper but forgot to get them on Sunday

  • hi five for making home made skin care products!

    xoexo

  • @edenbainbridge high 5s you back ;)

  • pretty and soothing.

  • @eastsaintlouis62203 Yep...very much so

  • Have you ever wondered if anyone's ever eaten them instead of used them for their body??

  • @rondachewarrior eww I hope not!

  • I HAVE A BUTTLOAD OF LEMONS I WISH I COULD SEND YOU SOME!!!

  • @rach85256 aww that's nice. I doubt it will be that expensive in the summer but I was shocked because I usually get them at the farmer's market for soooooo much cheaper. I just forgot to get them last Sunday

  • Looks great I will be making some tonight. :)

  • @cheryllovesrobert Did you make it and did you like it? I loved it, but realized I didn't wash off as good as I should have when I saw a freaking lemon zest on me hahahaha

  • too many vids? no way. you've got a girl here with too much time on her hands and no extra cash for my lush addiction. :) love the vids.

  • @elaina86 Thanks so much for the feedback! I just worry about inundating you. I have a bath salt recipe to upload. I also have the makings for bombs, but worry about doing the video since most stuff are not available household items...

  • @CookingAndCrafting Do the vid, do the vid. I will google search for items so you can link them if you want.

Just make the vids : 0

  • Oooh how nice! I actually have all the ingredients for this...I think I shall try it. I made a sugar lip scrub a few days ago. Nothing fancy...I just used Vaseline, Olive Oil and Sugar. It was nice though and worked very well. The lemon would smell so yummy! Thanks for sharing this! :)

  • @BigGirlSmallTown Awesome! Glad you have the ingredients to get going. I have a lip scrub to do/upload as a request. Mine is simpler without even the vaseline and am playing with adding in some lemon or orange so that it is yummy tasting

  • It's always great to see a new video from you. You most definitely are not uploading too many. I love to see new recipes and crafts. Keep them coming!!!

  • @yellowdaisies88 Thanks for the feedback. I fear I will inundate you all with the videos. :))

  • niceeeeee

  • @yescandles I'm going upstairs in a sec to find out just how nice :)))

  • Ohhhh Beth this looks fabulous! I can smell it from here! lol ... ohh my word I think I shall have to make that this week!! oxoxo

  • @ukeelady It really does smell great. I am going upstairs as soon as I finish these comments here and am going to scrub up! No dead skin for meeting the girls tomorrow! ;)

  • I made a sugar scrub the other night, I'm starting to get into homemade products. Thank you for this video it gives me another recipe to try :-)

  • @fumsmusings It is nice..you know what goes in to it..things you can actually pronounce!
