  • anny one who says something against guns and roses nazareth or hair of a dog dose not belong on this planet

  • FYI Did you know that Axl Rose asked Nazareth to play at his wedding? Axl way a huge fan of Nazareth. Same song, different times, different guys, different experiences of course different interpretation. I did like The Beatles "Day Tripper' riff at the end. Still like the original but understand I was in Junior High when this came out and "Brothers from Omaha" aren't supposed to like this kind of music. GREAT MUSIC HAS NO BONDS. KEEP ROCKIN

  • Trying too hard, in my opinion.

  • @BittleBites No its a Nazareth song off the album Hair of the Dog...Peaceout

  • @BittleBites the fuck???

  • screw all u haterz.......they're not the only ones who did this, and its the point behind the remake. its a great song, they did a great job.....so suck it up........

  • As a big nazareth fan respect to g n r for this cover i am around the same age group as axle and co and can relate to them wanting to cover a nazareth song they grew up listening to nazareth just like i did ,just wish both bands could reunite with their original guitarists.

  • Guns and Roses - wannabe assholes all the way (Duff excluded)

  • this is a insult to nazareth.

  • nice cover. but nazareth did it better

  • Good song either way. I'd listen to both and still rock to it.

  • no no no no no no...nazareths version is ALOT better!!!

  • Britny Fox's cover is way better!

  • No, no, no, no, no, no, no,

  • Who's version was best?. Nazareth was the mind blowing. But damn Axle Rose looks good.

  • you fake guns and roses thats the song of nazareth you r imitation GnR u idiots

  • @magic6986 i think this is a good version , but nazareth's version is really cool , but this one is also good

  • Agree with kos82288 about liking the first version you hear though, Axel has destroyed this song.

Their cover of knocking on heavens door for example was actually an amazing cover of an amazing artist, in my opinion as I have stated Axel has destroyed this, Slash on the other hand, as usual, is as close to perfection as you can be!

  • @nightwraithe84 Good point. I'm the same way with Knocking on Heavens door. I love the GNR version. Same way with Sympathy for Devil. I actually prefer GNR over the Stone's version, but that's probably because it was the first version I heard from the Interview with a Vampire sound track.

  • Nazareth did the song better but no one could've covered better tha GnR.

  • Started out OK, it really went to shit around 3:07 it sucks after that. I like Guns N Roses, but Nazareth owns this song, always has and always will!

  • needs more cowbell, baby, plus the talkbox aint as good as Naz,plus what's the goddamn hurry? Did they need to catch a bus or something.

  • @TheBusterMan Well said! Why the good original stuff should NOT be fucked with!

  • I'm an old fart and I think this is frickn great! Damn good job!

  • whoever u 12 people r who dont like this can suck it

  • G&R sound alright with this song. But Nazareth is obviously better, sounding cleaner and having more depth. It's hard to beat the bass in Nazareth's version. But G&R did a great job, too. Just like Nazareth better. They did it when I was young and of course they are my favorite. It's hard to beat the original band of most songs.

  • All you.. This is GnR´s version of Hair of the Dog. It´s good for the Naz, finally they got some back from the record company. I like the Naz version better, i heard it first. It´s nice that a huge band like GnR wanted to do a cover of this song. Good or bad..? Dont hate..

  • This song isn't meant for Axl, his voice doesn't fit

  • IT NEEDS MORE COWBELL !!!

  • Great song, love Nazareth, loved G&R.

I quite like hearing bands bring their own take on a song...and a recent band bringing perhaps more modern recording tech/styles to a truly great classic.

Doesn't take anything away from anyone.

    No need to fight.

Narareth are still one of the original surviving truly great rock pioneers & G&R were great in their day too.

  • they lost the heavieness somehow. what makes a song sound heavy and cool...

  • NAZARETH IS MY FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME, ALWAYS WILL BE.I OWN EVERYTHIN THEY HAV DONE EVEN THE RARITIES.I AM A HUGE GNR FAN TOO.BUT I'M PROLLY IN THE TOP FIVE BIGGEST FANS IN THE WORLD OF NAZARETH.ILOVEBOTH VERSIONS BUT NAZ BEIN MY FAV GOTTA GIVE IT TO NAZ.GNR DESERVE THEIR RECOGNITION.NAZARETH DESERVE WAY MORE RECOGNITION THAN THEYRECEIVE. I HONESTLY THINK THEY SHOULD BE THE MOST FAMOUS BAND EVER. GNR DESERVE TO BE ONE OF THE BIGGEST BUT NAZ SHOULD BE THE BIGEST,REMEMBER THIS IS MY OPINION.

  • A fkin lame cover! Britney Fox dit it better

  • LAZY UPLOAD

  • I LIKE this version much better

  • G'n'R make this sound like Abba doing the song.

Dan McCafferty (Nazareth singer) at 60+ sounds 100 times as mean as Axl Wanker Rose. G'n'R are a bunch of poofs - Nazareth make this song sound like it could cut through concrete. G'n'R just fuckin' ruin it

  • @pint6x Lol only naming abba in this vid makes u a retard so I didnt read the rest of your comment

  • Not like most of you, I think GN'R did better job than Nazareth. Only if they had more cowbell..

  • this is fucking unbelievable

  • Good, but needs cowbells like Nazareth.

  • i'll get flamed from both sides but i even like the version from stone rider most. though i'm a big gnr fan AND their version lacks the COWBELL! WE NEED MORE COWBELL!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheSlashRocks @TheSlashRocks Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription, is more COWBELL!

  • @mwh08111963 I'm with you on that one. Definitely needs more cowbell.

  • fuck, people chill. Nazareth has the original so this isnt as good. but its soooo damn close to being as good.

  • the best cover forever

  • Awesome cover but Guns N' Roses should reunite, make a new album and then go on tour....:)

  • @Estranged68 Awww HELL YEAH!!!!! ;D Fingers Xed!!!!

  • Nazareth of course does this song better DA!!! But Guns-N-Roses does a heck of a great job also. Both Bands Rock!!!! And that is all that matters to me. LUV YA ROCK-N-ROLL!!!!!

  • They are both amazing versions but the only reason Nazareth is better is because its their song

  • @Donnierules9109 hits the spot! but i like this version too :)

  • if ac/dc with bon scott did a cover of this i would have a eargasim!!!!!!

  • This aint bad.. but Nazareth did it hell of alot better!1

  • axel who?

  • I like how they make the drums louder, it's good. But Nazareth's was better.

  • Both versions rock. This is just a great song.

  • yea guys im 16 and nazareth did the best at this song but gnr has a good twist on it there both good in their own respects

  • dejen de hablar ingles malparidon you soy de colombia

  • talking jive n poison ivy...

  • its good version,i dont now whos version i like more nazareth or gnr but i like both of theme

  • Terrible.

  • @LivingWithUncleRay ok as it seems you prefer nazareth...but i think both bands did it great...

im a fan of gnr but that doesn't mean that im going to say gnr version is better....

i like both versions ...... you maybe don't like it but is not... terrible

  • NAZARETH

  • OK NAZARETH DEFINEATLY OWNS THIS SONG

  • I love AXL'S VOICE this has more power in it

  • no, no sir they didnt

  • great song, check out dan playing BAGPIPES in my NAZARETH vid

  • Nazareth's original is much better

  • Nazareth's is so much better ! God damn GNR is a great band but, No this is defiantelty not as good as Nazareth's hahaha!

  • Why does the drummer stop the ride blast beats after one measure?

  • @TheRocknRollfreak , what do you mean with ''hahaha'' ? it's not like it's fucking funny, christ.

  • It's funny because people think this version is better than Nazareth's which it is definately not.

  • Wouldn't it be a matter of opinion?

  • thank u finially some one i agre with:)

  • WE NEED GENE FRENKLE TO PLAY COWBELL

  • that wasn`t a cowbell it was slash hitting axl with his 58 les paul

  • this is a fakkin Nazareth rape...

  • sounds almost as good as nazarth

  • great

  • naz will alway's be the best , because of Dan and the bitchin cowbell!!!!!

  • @esp1964 still there is cowbell here...

  • actully i heard this version first and i like it better so, you're right about that

  • I think you folks should quit debating GnR or Nazareth, it really doesn't matter. I would say most people always like the first version they hear of the song the best. For me it's Nazareth, but it may not be for others. I guarantee that if Nazareth did a cover of Welcom to the Jungle, it wouldn't like it as well as the way GnR did it. That's just the way it goes.

  • @kos82288 yea!

  • @kos82288 Your right. VERY RARE when anyone can do a song better than the band you first heard perform a song. Leave Stevie Wonder's Superstition alone, Neil Youn's Cinnamon Girl alone, Nazareth's Hair of the Dog alone.....etc. However, Nazareth took Joni Mitchell's This Flight Tonight and created a monster. Thank goodness I never heard her version until now, about 30 years after Nazareth's rendtion. I never new she wrote that song till now.

  • @kos82288 Only sometimes. Sweet Dreams SUCKS! But Marilyn Manson's version is so much better!! And yes, Nazareth's version's better

  • @kos82288 SO TRUE MAN. A VOICE OF REASON IS RARE AND GOOD TO FIND.

  • @kos82288

    Good shout :)

  • Fags, 'tis ain't no Nazareth.

  • THIS isn't. Origianlly, Nazareth did this song though. =p

  • reminds me alot of zeppelin...lol

  • Maybe I'm just an old fart. GNR is good, but Nazareth did it much better. Okay, I'm an old fart regardless :-)

  • lol you old fart...but it's all good bro..lol.

  • @mwh08111963 yeah i used to love nazareth as well- but--- gotta say g'n'r version is as nearly as good as nazareths-( obviously original is better !)__--

  • @tokaicarl After 8 months I'm listening to this again and thinking,"Damn good cover!" I'm must have been in a sh*tty mood before. It also seems like at the very end they're giving a nod to the Beatles' "Day Tripper". There is a similarity I hadn't noticed before. ;-)

  • @mwh08111963 Of course they did they wrote it, Axel was really just showing where he got his voice, his influence, mad respect for him for doing that

  • @CrashmagnetMusic AMEN!!!!

  • @mwh08111963

Nah my friend. You are just fine. Saw them both do it. Would rather see Nazareth do it anytime. GNR did just fine. But they are still not Nazareth no matter how you slice it. Apples n Oranges? Guns n Roses? Nazareth is the answer to that question for sure.. I am an old guy too.... Peace my friend.

  • @mwh08111963 In that case I'm an old fart too...but wtf....NAZARETH was incredible!!! :)

  • @mwh08111963 In that case I'm an old fart too...but wtf....NAZARETH was incredible!!! :)

  • @ChristophSloth NAZARETH ARE MY FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME THE VARIETY IS MATCHED BY NO ONE. WHICH IS EVIDENT TO ANYONE WHO OWNS THE WHOLE CATALOG; HELL EVEN THE FIRST TWO ALBUMS. I AM 20 AND NAZA ARE THE BEST IN MY HONEST OPINION. READ MY PREVIOUS COMMENT. I LOVE GNR (BIG FAN); BUT IN MY OPINION NOTHING BEATS NAZ EVER. REMEMBER PEOPLE TRYING TO BREW AN ARGUMENT THIS IS MY OPINION NOT YOUR'S. AND REMEMBER EXPECT NO MERCY. BOTH GREAT BANDS.

  • @hermygagala Ok dude, you don't have to type in all caps to get people attention. That's just annoying. I don't care how 'honest' ur opinion is, it's still an opinion. Besides, what makes ur opinion superior to anyone else's? There is no 'better', it's a matter of preference.

  • @saulhudson420 No one said my opinion is superior to anyone elses. I just had it on caps lock and didn't bother to change it to regular font; no big deal. Again as I said before it is my opinion and I am in complete agreeance with you that it is a matter of preference. I never put either band down. I love both of them, all of their music.

  • I just happen to love Nazareth more because they were earlier pioneers and I like their music more it has variety that I have never heard by any other band and I have heard pretty much all classic rock and I have heard both bands (all of their material). Gnr were pioneers as well just later pioneers. Gnr are still in my top five so no insult to them they are an amazing band. Sorry that it bothers you so much that I put it in capitals, I will keep that in mind next time I post. Cheers mate.

  • gotta agree to some of you: i always prefer gnr to nazareth, but this version is "too much". original one has the tension as well, without being harsh.

  • I like guns n' roses but this sucks. Nazareths was alot better.

  • I agree the original by Nazareth is better but this version is fucking great too.

  • @MrVictorMeldrew hey Vic, i totally agree with ya!

  • This covers ok but i like nazareth a whole lot more than gnr

    :)

  • Gn'R are legends!!!!

    I LOVE THEM SO MUCH

    THIS IS GREAT COVER

ALL OF YOU WHO DON'T LIKE IT SCREW YOURSELF!!

cause you are MESSIN' WITH SON OF A BITCH :D

  • Messin' with the bitch herself; or do you queers take offense at being called bitches?

  • very LACKLUSTER when compared to the original,,, doesn't seem to move or rock like it should especially coming from GNR it could have the potential to be better, but falls way short!

  • man i love gnr they are very cool and good but since only axel remained in the band it isn't the same like the old times

  • wow axl got the SOOOON OF A BIITCH pretty well, i was expecting the cover to be okay but its pretty decent

  • I'm a huge G'N'R fan, always will be. But No one will ever pull it off like good ol' NAZARETH. Great cover but it just doesn't have the heart.

  • good song

  • you are a fool if you think that guns n' roses suck

  • what is the original?!?!?

  • nazareth wrote it originaly

  • n1 cover!

  • Ok, I'm gonna have to say that Britny Fox's cover of this song is better. It's much closer to Nazareth's recording. TedSki82, I'll agree that Axl's voice does ruin it a little. Also, they completely didn't reprise the talkbox with the last couple choruses like the song does. And what was with speeding it up at the end?

However, I will give them points for adding the Day Tripper riff at the end there, lol

  • this song is better cause of axls voice and slashs talk box

  • the funny thing is i thought the orginal sounded a lot like plant. It was on GTA4 expansion radio and just when i heard the voice i thought "wtf, that sounds like zeppelin"

the first verse sounded very powerful, sounded a lot like plant in the early albums, to me at least.

  • I think if anyone should have made a cover for this, it should have been Led Zeppelin, not Guns 'n' Roses. It's a nice attempt, but I think the only thing that really makes it is the guitar, but that's probably one of the easiest parts to make sound like the original. Granted, there are some nice little guitar additions in this, but I think Axl's voice kinda ruins it. I'd love to hear Led Zeppelin make a cover, though (Jon Bonham LZ, preferrably).

  • This sounds alot better.

  • love this remake i like it better than the orig

  • OMFG AMAZIG DRUMS

    LOVE THE BASS!

  • ya ikno it just puts that extra great beat into the song

  • the instruments sound amazing. 1 thing tho. they need more cowbell!

  • you gotta have more cowbell

  • I got a fever... and the only prescription i got is more cowbell

  • hahahahaha !! awsome said...KEEP ROCKING!

  • this shit rocks :D /,,/ <3

  • Axl dont destroy anything, he rock the shit out of you!!!!

  • seriously their singer destroy the whole song, he SUCKS!!

  • SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS, i dont know what they were thinking when they thought they could be as good as nazereth, retards!!!!!!!! sorry to all of you who like this, but its awefull

  • I don't know. i think both versions are good. You should listen to the rest of The Spagetti Incident. It rocks. It was the last album with Slash, Duff, and the rest.

  • guns n roses is 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000x the band nazareth will ever be

  • i discover Nazareth with Razamanaz , my favorite album is Loud N' Proud of course and Hair is the best artwork album !

  • original version by the nazareth is way better

  • agreed...WAY better....never liked Rose's voice anyways....way overrated in my opinion...remakes usually suck and this one does

  • yup

  • britney foxes version is the best. search it up

  • old school rocka!!!!

  • i think that if axl stayed the same as he did in the 80's, he would still be the king.

  • if he wasen't such a megalomaniac, maybe.

  • yea, he would kinda have to loosen up and not be so mad all the time.

  • Yeah, Axl is a jerk. Asshole Axl, I call him. The band members are still rockin, though.

  • Like this version better, axl was king back in the days

  • nazereth will always rule, but i love the way gnr rocks the solo

  • NOTHING BEATS THE ORIGINAL!!!

  • way true

  • i think both versions are great

  • Now you're messin' with a son of a bitch ! ! !

Superb!!! I love the heart and powerful vocals that Axl puts into this groovy song! The talkbox guitarsolo is also right on! F'n Great!

  • I think this version is waaaaay better than the original. It's faster and I prefer the vocals here.

  • starsocer16- the cover is off of the greatest hits album, it is a color version of what is on the back

  • great cover just what a cover is suppose to be

  • that was hot, he would sound good singing anything....

  • wow this is the only cover gnr did that i like the original better of... crazy

  • Pretty cool cover of a kickass original. I could do without the speed-up at the end.

You gotta love the way Axl savors that "...BIIITCH" in the chorus.

  • I prefer Nazareth's version, but they did pretty good here, too.

  • fuckin love axls voice on this song kicks ass bro dont kno what your talkin bout

  • ahhhhhhhh...dat's purty!

  • me and my band did this song next to a church and a priest started bitchin at us

  • Axl sure likes dirty words. Thats what got me into them by the way.

  • I prefer Nazareth preforming it. GNR redid it

    okay.

    -Chicnesses

  • GnR still rocks it tho
