  • is the guy sedated can he feel anything ????

  • it`s a crime!! implants actually exist

  • This footage is presented for historical purposes and may depict procedures that are no longer part of modern dental practice.

    Clinical procedure in bridge construction.

  • this video is dated in the description as "OCT 3 72". that's October 3rd 1972. as stated in the top comments, dentists started wearing gloves in the late 80's early 90's. THAT'S why there's no gloves. but of course back then they no doubt scrubbed like surgical doctors do.

  • Is it normal for the teeth to bleed while they are trimming the teeth down?

  • Why isn't he wearing gloves?

  • wow, this is beautiful

  • Excellent, Thanks for posting.

  • amazing video :)

  • i just want to know .. how in the world can you see the disto-lingual line angle to reduce it ???

  • @mohammedelberbawy

I don't think you'd ever see it. You deal with it blindly, trial and error kind of thing till you attain certain amount of practice enabling you to reduce it properly. Or that's what I think.

  • why full cast crown not given on premolar?

  • @bhavya4289 A full coverage retainer was not needed on the premolar. There was sufficient retention provided by the full coverage retainer on the molar. Nowadays we would probaby just provide a rest seat on a premolar. This is to be conservative to tooth tissue. Also the buccal emamel on the premolar was preserved since it is more likey to be seen when the patient smiles.

  • just curious to now why this muthafucka was not wearing gloves!

  • Why was there no porcelain put over the metal on the bridge? I have two bridges and mine have porcelain over the metal making all 3 teeth on each bridge white.

  • @Taaurrus Placing porcelain over the bridge increases its thickness, so greater reduction of tooth tissue is required. It is usually done in patients who want the bridges colour to blend in with the tooth colour when they smile. Less reduction of tooth tissue is better then more reduction, so in patients where aestheics aren't a concern, especially since this is in the back of the mouth, it it better to do them in just metal.

  • just curious..why the dentist has no gloves..

  • @abbychubs Dentists started wearing gloves in the late 80's early 90's. This looks like it could be before then

  • @thefinnishminnow October 3th 1972, read description. :D

  • @abbychubs spot-on!

  • Because esthetic not required ?

  • just curious why the supragingival margins was placed?

  • @irfanyaz B'coz supragingival margins are easier to be kept clean by the patient and don't cause recession (if subgingingival margins impinge on the biological width they can increase chances of recession). The advantage of subgingival margins compared to supra is use of more clincal crown height (which can aid retention)and aesthetics.

  • @kkvh7823 thanx alot for the reply
