Now, in 2011, the F-35 is to become operational. Current plans are for the US to purchase 2443 F-35's, which have capabilities that the F-22 lacks. The DOD wants to let production of the F-22 expire, and commit future dollars on the F-35. Sounds smart.

Thing is, our outdated aircraft are still the most advanced aircraft in the world. The F-22 is an air superiority fighter in spirit and not as many of them are needed to serve that purpose. The F-35 is more of an F-18/F-16 in spirit, capable of almost any mission.

I've watched C-17s for years around McChord AFB and I've never seen one climb like that at 0:20. I'm impressed.

go with KC-10, they're the ones that are gonna be around in ten years. and the C-130J should be around then, but not the original C-130's.

The F22 is cancelled. Its no longer being produced.. The f-35 although better then the f22, i prefer the look of the raptor.
