this was beta.. only way you'll get something like this again would be before expansions i guess. the bullroarer server is a beta test ground [to my knowledge] for lotro..

if get to be vip you ll be considerated vip all time with the character you use while youre vip but then youre ofther characters wont be considerated as vip

@vanisher911 the game isnt actually free to play its a marketing scheme to pull in more audiences. you only have quests in starter zones with many game features locked. the only way to unlock them is to buy them with tp points or subscribing. tp points can be earn threw playing the game but the amount you get and time it would take to unlock everything you might as well get a job even a second job and just pay for it becasue its so time consuming you'd have to be insane to actually do it.
F2P goes online at the 10th of september, youcan go till lvl 50, no moria, lorien or Mirkwood. Just 2 gold, Just 2 inventory bags. So it's sort of a super demo version :P

Well you're 16 years old so it' clear why you would like WoW better than Lotro, cause in WoW there isn't a challenge and in WoW you get epics thrown in the face! I've been gaming WoW since i was 13 (17 years now, so approx 4 years) the first year i played it the only epic i got was crafted and bought shit! When TBC arrived i managed to get abit through Heroics and creating a shaman made raiding more possibly! When WotlK arrived i raided, but after 3.0 ended... everything turned !
well, WoW is'nt the greatest MMO, though, I have had good times and bad times playing it... but most recently, have been having boring times... I want to play cataclysm...but its taking too long to get released...3 years, 3x80s and the rest ranging from 45 to 73.. (my toons are on executus and the scryers) playing eq2 now, and love that it is actually a challenge. There are a lot of kiddies who play WoW though

The endgame context is a bit small yet, but turbine works on it -and not much kins farm BG HM. in fact, ive not yet heard of any raidgroup beating the lieut. in HM -beating him him in normal mode is a pain^^
its only very disappointing that turbine doesnt fix some bugs that are in the class system for years now. if players complain about anything, its that. but those are all minor bugs.

Unfortunately LOTRO is now going down-hill with lots of players leaving the game due to bad pvp, end-game content and the graphics downgrade in SoM, as confessed by a turbine developer.
Soon, LOTRO will die out and all the hopes and dreams will be history forever.

When MoM was released, there was a big complaint that the game was going to drain all of the boom from other games which would make other companies fail. Because LOTRO was so successful and just kept getting better, in an interview with a turbine developer, they signed an agreement to downgrade the graphics by somewhat a little and focus on gameplay like the other games. One of the reasons is due to the high expenses paying to the Saul Zaintz company.

Hence SoM, they introduced a digital-expansion so that more customers don't come to LOTRO when they go past a new expansion called 'Siege of Mirkwood' which would bring in more customers and so on.
They had to downgrade the graphics because it was also causing alot of lag and latency on the servers, notice why there are alot of extended maintenance days.
The game is really good, but the servers are just not powerful enough to work the game. The good news is that they will focus on content.....
You can remove my comment, thumbs down or whatever. It will remain on the wall and you will eventually see the truth when the servers shut down and all the truth is suddenly revealed :)

I was a wow convert to lotro just this year quit my wow sub in May and never looked back got tired of the chuck norris jokes the childish whining on trade,( let's not forget the last time I remember seeing the trade channel being used for trade was back in vanilla) wows full of attention whores and the immature who find anal spam links humorous some of us grow up eventually even if we do like to play occasionally online.

I would like to tell you all that LOTRO is not the perfect game in this case, I do understand and know that alot of you really love LOTRO and say it is the 'best' game ever, that is because it is your first MMORPG - I understand that, really I do, and it is no mockery.
I understand that in your firs MMORPG, you would behave hypocritically and boasting about how good it is, as for me - my first MMORPG is WoW, and I love the game, believe me.

Well you're 16 years old so it' clear why you would like WoW better than Lotro, cause in WoW there isn't a challenge and in WoW you get epics thrown in the face! I've been gaming WoW since i was 13 (17 years now, so approx 4 years) the first year i played it the only epic i got was crafted and bought shit! When TBC arrived i managed to get abit through Heroics and creating a shaman made raiding more possibly! When WotlK arrived i raided, but after 3.0 ended... everything turned !

well, WoW is'nt the greatest MMO, though, I have had good times and bad times playing it... but most recently, have been having boring times... I want to play cataclysm...but its taking too long to get released...3 years, 3x80s and the rest ranging from 45 to 73.. (my toons are on executus and the scryers) playing eq2 now, and love that it is actually a challenge. There are a lot of kiddies who play WoW though

As an addicted player i think i know whats happening in the game and i totally disagree with you.
The endgame context is a bit small yet, but turbine works on it -and not much kins farm BG HM. in fact, ive not yet heard of any raidgroup beating the lieut. in HM -beating him him in normal mode is a pain^^
its only very disappointing that turbine doesnt fix some bugs that are in the class system for years now. if players complain about anything, its that. but those are all minor bugs.

Unfortunately LOTRO is now going down-hill with lots of players leaving the game due to bad pvp, end-game content and the graphics downgrade in SoM, as confessed by a turbine developer.
Soon, LOTRO will die out and all the hopes and dreams will be history forever.

When MoM was released, there was a big complaint that the game was going to drain all of the boom from other games which would make other companies fail. Because LOTRO was so successful and just kept getting better, in an interview with a turbine developer, they signed an agreement to downgrade the graphics by somewhat a little and focus on gameplay like the other games. One of the reasons is due to the high expenses paying to the Saul Zaintz company.

@Montyleeny14 I have noticed a lot about that actually. Noobs are treated a lot worse in WoW then they are in LOTRO. I got a lot of help from people on LOTRO compared to the WoW players. Having that said I still play WoW over LOTRO because my computer is not good enough to keep playing LOTRO :(

Because on WoW, players have made so many guiles to actually help you, there are even guildes free of charge to help you farm gold where on WoW without buying, aswell guides on professions etc.

On WoW there are daily acrobats in Orgrimmar organised by gold-farmers which are obscurely mocked by other WoW players, they know better to not go on their website; they literally stand on one another to make out letters of the website.
I have played WoW since release, and all kids will grow up to become older, and more mature.

Hence SoM, they introduced a digital-expansion so that more customers don't come to LOTRO when they go past a new expansion called 'Siege of Mirkwood' which would bring in more customers and so on.
They had to downgrade the graphics because it was also causing alot of lag and latency on the servers, notice why there are alot of extended maintenance days.
The game is really good, but the servers are just not powerful enough to work the game. The good news is that they will focus on content.....

A raven is just your pet and you can have a horse when you hit lvl 35. Your horse is a mount, to travel faster. It costs 4 gold and 220 silver:)
