What inspired me the most to take up chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo came upon me from the movie What's Love Got To Do With It based on the life of singer and entertainer Tina Turner! After watching the movie I decided to do some research about Nichiren buddhism and bought a pair of prayer beads! Took me a while to get in the rhythm if you will and I enjoy it very much!

I have practised nichiren buddhism, and the chanting, it does make you very calm, but aside from that (which you can also feel if you chant any words with passion), there was little effect. I have made some research into this religion, and I found too many flaws in it's theory to believe in it. This led me to question much of the meaning of the chant, and the truth is (at least for me), that if the philosophy concerning one's self and the universe is non-logical then the chanting is as well. I've been chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, but I haven't done the parts of the Lotus Sutra yet. A question that I have is: what order do you have to do the morning and evening practices? Gakkai and SGI are Giant Evil in the world. In Jpn, they can easily control MEDIA and politics that you could never imagine.

Now Gakkai and SGI sell Omamori and Nichikan GZs as toys. NS does it the same. I have many many secret photos and documents about D. Ikeda and how he received those fame. You are still young. Please do not get brainwashed by them. Just embrace the Law and the Gohonzon. Keep chanting but plz do not join the activities of SGI, please! Just tell people how to chant - this is real shakubuku. @ 3:30 you said the Lotus Sutra is the core of Nichiren teachings. Didn't you mean Shakyamuni's teachings?
