  • the music choices in this film are just genius

  • Ahhh the beat at the end just completes it

  • This song is so POWERFUL!

  • I don't care if this movie is a massive cliches and cheesy plot. it is not as cheesy as most movies and it display the passion that only artist may know. Only true artist will appreciate this movie.

  • THE REVIEW MUST GO... wait, wrong video.

  • beautiful ;_;

  • When I first saw this in the movie I didn't think it was that special, but now it's just like woah. O.o this is really good.

  • right before she has to break his heart.

  • I love love this song !!!

  • It's really weird but I don't remember this and I should because it is an amazing song!

  • It's a bit crazy. When I watched the movie, I was actually a bit disappointed with this song, but now, watching it again, this can almost make me cry, it's so beautiful.

  • very very gut

  • Queen + Moulin Rouge = AWESOME!!!!! My favourite band and favourite movie! Can it get any better?

  • @OhYouMeanMe1 maybe, not..;]

  • It's numbers like this, Hindi Sad Diamonds and Your Song that make me wonder why Moulin Rouge was never on broadway.

  • In this movie Jim Broadbent REALY looks like Alexander Bard, in the early 90's .... (look up army of lvoers obsession music video if you don't know who he is.... And I woulden't be surprised if you didint XD ) I guess its the red hair and the beard XD similar color and cut ^__^

  • "The Show Must Go On" is a metaphor for Satine pretending to love the Duke, right?

  • @dssjrf Precisely!

  • "I'll top the bill, I'll over kill"

  • MAJOR major goosebumps right now. Covered in them. Who knew Professor Kirk could sing?

  • @thatwhichisgiven He can't really- at least not like this his voice was dubbedd by some other guy.

  • @Rennimagus Still...

  • I'm not a huge fan of this movie but man: This scene gives me the chills every time.

  • I am torn by this musical. My god its so beautiful but all of these songs are someone elses. I feel like they are ripping off others and cant think of anything original, but the singing is soooo good! so torn...

  • @KevDoFresh I always felt that using already existing songs for the movie showed how universal music is - and that sometimes, to get a point across, you don't need a new song. The point you're trying to make is not new, so the music doesn't need to be new either. In the end, I think the point of music is to transfer emotions; and because of that, I don't have a problem with person A using music from person B to transfer the same emotion, I think it's sometimes better than writing new music.

  • @KevDoFresh I feel like it's only 'ripping something off' if they attempt to claim others' music as their own.

I think they made it original by reinterpreting and reanimating a bunch of really good music--they even devoted some high-profile actors to it. :3 I think that and the brilliance of the movie overall convey a lot of respect to the original artists, no?

  • This is UHMAZING :) Brilliant song :D

  • So glad I found this, took me ages to do so. Too many fan made vids

  • Nicole è fantastica!! <3 bellissimo l'arrangiamento alla fine!!

  • 2:05 So beautiful...this scene is as close as I've ever come to feeling like my heart is being wrenched...it has a power beyond words, and is a masterpiece of film

  • i love how at 2:28 you can see in her face when she decides to "go on" and just be strong! her face just breaks my heart cause she looks miserable and is showing how she really feels, then she puts on her strong face and just does what she has to do. i wish i could be more like that.

  • @ariellaine93 I agree,me too..

  • I love this song

  • Inside.. my heart is breaking

    my makeup.. may be flakeing,

but my smile.. Still stays ON

  • I realy love Nicole Kidman she's an amazing actress!!

  • I think it's about time for me to watch Moulin Rouge again it's been ages since i've seen it! after seeing the movie 50+ times it still makes me cry every time sigh

  • igual pase lo que pase el show debe continuar... y ya nada debe afectar...

  • I am a forever die-hard for Queen. I absolutely HATE IT when people try to cover any of their songs. I have never, ever, Ever, EVER liked one of Queen's songs sung by someone else, and I'm known to throw THE BIGGEST fit when people even try! But this, this is incredible. I lay down my guns to these singers.

  • I really love this movie. And this scene is so heartbreaking! I cried like a baby the very first time I watched it.

  • This song is simply amazing and I love this version of the great Masterpiece signed by Queen. How can I describe my feelings everytime I see this scene?

  • @ReeginaJuli Gary Oldman is not in this movie. But, otherwise, I agree with you completely. (:

  • @MissSimonson

WHOA wasn't he? Omg I really though the Duke was Gary Oldman! xD wellwell, but in my defense he kinda looks like him a lil' bit ='D

  • @ReeginaJuli He does, you're right. (: Hahaha, but yeah. He's the same actor that plays Dracula in Van Helsing, if you've seen it.

    And Gary Oldman is a little bit cuter. <3 Ahem, Sirius Black. (;

  • @ReeginaJuli the duke is Richard Roxburgh ;)

  • Thanks so much, this is priceless !

  • happy birthday freddie mercury

  • Rip Freddie!!

  • I think Jim Broadbent really outdid himself in this movie. Simply incredible.

  • anybody know who the operatic singer is here? amazing voice i'd love to find other songs and arias he's performed. thanks!

  • @poseuresque hes the guy who was the profesor who told voldamort about horcroxes in Harry Potter 6

  • @poseuresque I'm pretty sure Jim Boradbent did his own singing in the movie. Except for the "Like a Virgin" song. They had an opera singer dub for that one, although I'm not sure who.

  • @poseuresque Sorry, Broadbent*

  • Satine's face after 2:19 is truly amazing.

Being able to emote and convey so much emotion without making one noise....THAT is acting.

  • This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie

  • Cant even see the dislike bar ;)

  • lepsze w wersji queen

  • This my favorite Queen song by far!! And I love how they did this in the movie

  • "Outside the dawn is breaking on the stage that holds our final DESTINYYYY" *goosebumps at "destiny"*

  • omg... O__o 2:17 now that is what I call puppy eyes from Mr. Harold Zidler! xD

  • Goosebumps all over... So true this song...

  • Absolutely destroyed the original. Then used the pieces and rebuilt it into something magnificent and tragic.

  • I like the part at 2:18 Until she 2:23, Its like she wonders whether to do it or not, because she knows she can not lie to Ewan directly in his eyes. but when she hears Zidler, and realize she must do it, She raises her head, so as not to look into his eyes... (2:27)

  • Merlin's beard, Satine!

  • Every actor is amazing!!!It's the best movie ever!!!

  • 2:26 gives me such shivers i just end up shouting at the screen....NOO SATINE DONT DO IT!!!!!!!! :(

  • Apparently the show stopped for 3 people...

  • This song gives me chills

  • I love Zidler, he's one of my top movie characters <3

  • i love that line " what ever happens we leave it all to chance "

  • Jim Broadbent's voice never fails to amaze me and raise goosebumps.

  • this song is amazing. jim broadbent is a legend in my eyes!

  • Zidler's face at 2:19 is priceless... amazing song & movie

  • Beautiful adaptation. I love it.

  • For some weird reason the ending of this song reminds me of the phantom of the opera....does anyone else get that feeling????????? ANYONE AT ALL?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • @nibblesfan Yeh, and the stage and the elephant and the chandelier and all that too

  • @nibblesfan yes me too

  • @nibblesfan Defenitly.. It's creepy and funny at the same time!

  • @nibblesfan it's the combination of the fanfare of the trumpets and the electrified modern sound (electric guitars, synthesizer, etc.) which is used in the Phantom of the Opera movie.

  • @nibblesfan YES! now that you say that YES YES YES

  • beautiful version of Queen song. Dramatic and very emotional, perfect for the context of scenes....

  • great post. sad part but powerful. THE ACTORS DID A GREAT JOB

  • Today's the day... when dreaming ends.... </3

  • omg this is so sad

  • foreshadowing... life goes on after Satine..

  • i was in the theatre for moulin rouge back in 2001 and when i heard Jim Broadbent saying "another hero another mindless crime" a smile a scary grin was on my face . i started singing queen's show must go on and a guy next to me looked at me and said " thats the fucking spirit " and he started singing aswell with me . one of the best moments i had watching a film !

  • 02:36 > rock as hell!

  • the show did go on

  • @mikey100ist Yep! It did and Satine died and I'm pretty sure that Christian will live the rest of his days as a writer/hermit....... :D

  • @mikey100ist and ended quite abruptly after the final curtain. :(

  • OMG thank you sooooo much i have been looking for this video, it's always just lyrics or a pic, THANK YOU!!
