People always ask for proof of our faith, just like the pharisees always asked Jesus for signs that He is the Messiah. If you see a proof, where is faith in that? It's hard to make unbelievers understand how the Holy Spirit quickened your heart and changed your life, they just think you've gone crazy. But you know it within you that God worked in your life for so long and finally opened your eyes to the Truth at the perfect time. When that happened to me, it was the happiest time of my life.

metalmankeith..for you to believe the historical Jesus there is MUCH evidence..however, I believe offering up even one of them wouldn't convince you in the very least so I'll say this...I believed as you and He opened my eyes. Your believe won't come from anybody but our Lord..and if that is not good enough what's the point in arguing? You've already made up your mind. Besides, just by "saying" He didn't exist doesn't prove a thing.

where? I do agree with you on one point, that arguing this gets us nowhere, but that's not the fault of the non-religious. Statements we make can be backed up by physical evidence, statements like the one you've made cannot. That's fine. I can live with that, just stop saying that there is evidence when there is NOT. Why else would faith exist if not for lack of evidence? If you had this evidence, what would be the need for faith?

All based on the same scripture and ancient texts, which were written by fallible humans. Now ask yourself, how consistent are the accounts of Jesus between these ancient texts?

The historian Josephus had TWO accounts of Jesus in his writings, both questionable and altered by Christian scribes. Now why would they do go and do a thing like that?...

There may very well have been a person named Jesus, but a virgin birth? The son of god? Highly improbable. Why is there faith if evidence exists?

You make this same comment above to me. DO SOME RESEARCH AND STOP WASTING OUR TIME. Simply citing the Historian Josephus shows your lack of understanding of the "evidence" you have. Why can't you just be content with your faith? Why must you people attempt to prove us wrong with altered texts and ancient scripture that isn't even consistent? Again, if you had any actual evidence, what would be the need for faith? I respect your faith, I don't respect your "evidence".

Thank you for understanding that. For many, many people, faith is enough evidence. For those of us who do not have faith, we do not view it as evidence. But if you have faith (which clearly you do) then that's all the evidence that you need and that should satisfy you.

I'm just so disappointed by youtube. This is the fourth video response to "how to convert an atheist", a video which asked an important and valid question, and not one of the video responses I've seen has even attempted to answer it. It's just so disappointing, and I'm not going to bother to watch any more video responses to this one.

You're right. Jesus shouldn't be seen as similar to Mahatma Ghandi or Martin Luther King Jr.

After all, Jesus was pro-slavery and did not denounce the practices of sex-slavery in his time.

Ghandi and Lincoln and King were far superior as moral creatures.
