  • gorgeous

  • I need to flip this video horizontally and upload it for all the right-handed peeps, cus this move is too dope

  • Thats so pretty!

  • 0:15 there are two dick..

  • B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L

  • he was the best player in Europe, he killed opponents back than, and they picked him 57th in the NBA draft. the European player wasn't getting respect back then. now they pick European players in the first round when they 18 years old, not knowing how they gonna play

  • Manu FTW

  • Is the ANYTHING, ANY MOVE manu is incapable of doing? ANYBODY ? :)

  • i dont think i could execute this move since im right-handed and the way he does it seems more fit for lefties

  • 55th draft pick i believe? almost didnt make the cut wow.

  • @ThugLifeJ ur forgetting those were the days when teams didnt hav the confidence in foreign players (1999 draft) and manu is the first foreign player with the athleticism of a kobe / wade top guards......b4 manu ppl always thought foreign players were typical 3 point shooters (petrovic, peja etc.) but manu changed all that.....besides he has his unique style of "slash flash, hustle, smarts and creativity" slasher like him is not expected to make superb defense or jason kidd'esque assists

  • kembas was way sicker

  • love the music

  • Just think if manu has the athleticism of Lebron or Dwyane Wade....he would be unstoppable.

  • @dnertun he has always had his own unique style of athleticism...how else do u think he has blacked wade / lebron lol ; and have u seen his game in his twenties? he was the dwayne wade b4 dwayne wade actually became a household name in usa....manu nowadays uses his athleticism in spurts, hez the most deceptive player :)

  • Very nice video

  • He is one of the most respected guys on the league

  • Thumbs up for leftys

  • i'm left handed that why i use a lot of ginobili's move. i use the stepback and the euro step everyday and never let me down. but the behind the back just doesnt work for me either im playing in the game or streetball.

  • how skilled is fuck then?

  • Worst players the suns have had in a long time.

  • he should do a walk-through on the art of flopping

  • he is good but he flops way too much, no wonder the Grizzles make him look silly(no direspect)

  • i know he is good but i mean has this guy ever even been in a weight room? It looks like he has never done a bicep curl in his life.

  • @AMart2300 hes done more than you! hes all muscle

  • @ishowyouapple ha i guarantee i can lift more weight in every category, especially biceps. I would be surprised if he can curl more than 60 lbs

  • isn't this considered travel in europe?

  • @Goggez nope because he took a step

  • Makes it looks so easy

  • one of the craftiest players in the game

  • A lot of NBA players should watch Manu's videos

  • wow this video helped me alot. I always used the stepback jumper against my cousin and he couldnt make me miss a single shot plus i only miss a shot when his hand is in my face. but i won by 28 points

  • Manu Ginobili didnt travel, that can be count as a hop step... i agree with Steve..

  • Awsome! I say in about a few years, Manu Ginobli will be the best NBA player in the world

  • @antiboy551 Hes very skilled, but he's too old now. Sorry.

  • @fsuchino aww i wish he was like 23 or 27 right now

  • @antiboy551 Yeah.. but doesn't mean he won't win another championship ring. His team is so stacked at the moment and he is still a 20ppg scorer

  • lmao no travel

  • he gathers the ball just before the step back, no travel

  • taking 1 step forward and 2 back (total 3 steps) is travel. Learn the rules.

  • @martynas7777 he takes 1 step back there is no 2nd step back because he sets thats it.

  • @martynas7777 lol. y dont u learn the rules. he's still dribbling the ball. u count the steps after they pick up the ball. watch the demonstration version of this. it shows the move better than the walk-through.

  • manu manu manuuuuu

  • S'not travelling. It's like a hop step, when you bounce it that's when you jump and then pick up the ball. If that makes sense, but if you do this wrong it will end up being a travel.

  • Video should be called: Manu Ginobili - travelling (walk-through)

  • @martynas7777 how isit travelling lmao.

  • @martynas7777 watch again the vid and don't say bullshit :)

  • @martynas7777 I bet you dont even know how basketball is being played

  • @jasoncheug818 1 gather 2 the step back 3 square up shoot u should be called for a travel

  • @jasoncheung818 the step back is counted as one move

u probably did the move wrong

  • i tried this on the streets... but i got called for a travel.. so wht do i actually have to do... cause now tht i fink on it... manu took 3 steps too in the video.. he starts his first step with his left foot for his long step.... 2nd and 3rd step... jumper... so shouldnt tht be a travel too?? or am i just missing sth??

  • @jasoncheung818 The first step you're thinking off should be off a dribble

so it's kinda like doing a power hop

If you do it right, the first and second step should be the plant

the third one should be the jumper

Manu didn't show it in the vdeo though...

  • @cheese0cake so the step where u r suppose to jump backwards from... is suppose to be a dribble?

  • @cheese0cake so the first step (the step u jump backwards with - manu's left) should be a dribble?

  • terrible lo q extraña la selección a este fenómeno...

  • Thanks Manu!

Next tutorial: How to swat a bat

  • is left handed?

  • manu is the besth

  • Man if i master that move no one can stop me :D

  • What a draft pick he was!!!!!

  • I am so going to try that

  • that's in theory a travel. behind the back, one step left, long step right AND he settles the left for the jump. but usually in the nba they don't call this kind of travel IF the move is quick ...

  • @Oralion86 yeah if its not then its walking

  • Comment removed

  • two steps. He picks up the ball when he steps towards the opponent and then when he steps back, that's his second step. No travel.

  • @sjobbe94 finally some one knows what they're on about. Just as he takes his second step that is his pivot foot and then he simply pulls his other foot back to hit that jumper.

  • this is at utsa!

  • its not a travel because he still has his dribble when he goes behind his back. He picks up the dribble on the step back (the ball has bounced on the floor, behind his back and then he catches it and THEN steps back), which in itself is only one step.

  • @ShAd0wZ40 but if you look closely he had already three steps ang i didnt see him having the dribble on the left foot,,its like when he stepped back he returns his left foot and thats three steps already

  • @ShAd0wZ40 if you see it his left foot stepped first before the ball bounced behind his back,,,

  • @ShAd0wZ40 the ball bounced behind his back first before his left foot stepped the he steps back using his right foot and so with his left and that counts as travel

  • can sum1 explain to me why this isnt traveling?????????????

  • can sum1 explain to me why this isnt traveling

  • isnt that traveling?

  • the worst player in the NBA is better than 95% of everyone else.

  • This really helped me! lol

  • Much better then the expert village videos

  • whats that song on here?

  • How do you do the step back move in NBA 2k10?

  • @dj999333 left stick to wherever you want to hopstep to and then press Y or triangle

  • Manu is a damn good player but some of his flops that ive seen have somewhat diminished my respect for him.

  • @bigp132 he had to flop in his early days in NBA coz referees didnt give him calls when he being beaten to pulp at the rim.....u see there is this 'star' persona that gets phantom fouls from referees....u dont get the calls unless u are THE MAN for the team unfortunately (as in every sports league arnd the world) once manu became a star he has reduced his flopping to a minimum using it mostly to outsmart the avg fishers of the league

  • nice Manu's wearing Hyper Dunks. I got me a pair :D. Probably the lightest bball shoes I've ever owned.

  • I have them too they are cool:]

  • Manu has been one of my favorite players for years. Prolly cause he's skinny and left-handed like me. And loves slashing. If only I had 1/3 the talent lol.

  • @ZakTheRipper18 lol, don't sell your short man, :)

  • Manu Ginobili is skilled as fuck

  • @Erikhaos ne1 that plays in the nba is skilled as fuck

  • @peasinacan Not really I'ma tell ya

  • @Erikhaos ...then y r they in the nba?

  • @peasinacan Some because of speed, atleticism etc...

but doesn't really mean that they are really skilled...

    such as Manu

  • @Erikhaos AGREE :)

  • people chill you can take 3 steps in the nba. watch deron williams video and itll show you how to use an extra dribble.

  • i did this...and i dropped 10 points off this one move

  • can someone please tell me what kind of nike basketball is the one used in the video?

  • Isn't that travelling? the moment after he picked up the ball in mid air and clutch, 1st step, step back with right leg, 2nd step and retrieval of left leg for balancing, 3rd step. Tell me if i'm wrong.

  • no it isnt.

  • @bryanyongyufook It isn't a travel. I'm not sure about other leagues' rules, but in the NBA, if i'm not wrong, you can take 3 steps.

1st step is when you gather the ball.

2nd and 3rd step is before your shot/layup/dunk.

    Sorry if i'm wrong

  • thanks oAncel. I've checked. In NBA, it isn't but in Olympic games, it is. cheers.

  • You can't take 3 steps in ANY league... he only took 2 here...

  • can you tell me when is the 2 steps being taken?

  • first... I hope we can all agree that a step back is not a travel... okay... then watch he never shuffled his feet after the step back.. He went up for the jumper right away.

  • @wucool33 in the nba you can take 3 steps. look up the rules.

  • actually according to the rules as written you're not even allowed TWO full steps, but for a long time NBA refs have been taught to allow two. There was an article talking about the NBA traveling rules recently. Just search for it.

Of course, we know a lot of players sometimes get away with more than two steps.

  • yeah ur wrong

  • you are wrong

  • Thats not a travel. His left foot when he picled the ball up is considered a pivot foot so its not gonna be a travel, so when he jumps back its like taking one step

  • well, its a yes and a no, because you do take 3 steps, but its not a travel for some reson.

  • meh u can do it right handed too, unless u shoot like ginobli then it could be difficult because you'd have to rotate your whole body around lol. just go on the other side and do it.

  • wat a re re dnt u think tht if this was a travel they would hav did a reshoot to were its correct dumass why would manu do a commerical were he's showing how to travel dum fuck

  • but that only for left-hander.....quite hard for the right-hand..

  • quite hard ? i don't think .....

  • this is a weak side move so doesnt matter what hand is your strong. you go to the other side.

  • do it the other way then

  • Right handed people do the same type of step back move. Dwyane Wade and Iverson are two examples that come to mind.

  • i have a question....

are u supposed to dribble with ur offhand b4 bouncing bak? cos in this vid manu looks like he travels?

  • in reality, you have to pick up the ball mid-dribble as you step back.

  • OR RATHER...ANOTHER WAY OF EXPLANING....you're standing STILL...take 1 bounce....use ur first step to jump into the defender...step back with both legs....unguardable...that's what ginobili did in the video.

  • if you go by the theory of hop....i can just bounce, take 1 step left (faking)...then i take my right foot immediately in far opposite direction and my left foot will follow suit...3 steps...just like ginobili in the video...disaster....the defense will not be able to guard me...i will be unguardable...kobe, jordan, t-mac wouldn't need so drive hard and pullup hard suddenly......

  • it's clearly travelling...he landed his left foot AFTER the 'behind the back bounce' - first step....and then the stepback right foot - second step.... pulling back his left foot - 3rd step........just imagine u're standing still...u bounce the ball, take one step forward, then jump back with both legs - 3 steps...no dispute

  • i just found out that giobili is greek

  • lol he's from argentina

  • lol well i jsut failed didnt i

  • he takes 2 steps. he bounces the ball after he goes behind the back, then picks his dribble up as he steps away from the defender. 2 steps

  • This video helped me. Now I know how to do a stepback jumper. Manu Ginobli is a great basketball teacher.

  • No, I also don't think the step back hop is counted as two steps because both feet are in the air. Like if you take a hop step and your feet don't land in synch, it still counts as a hop step and no travel would be called. At least that's what I think.

  • works all the time

  • bang bang

  • these manu vids are great! im a left handed player and i use this alot in my game. I'd like to see some tutorials on deron williams crossover. have you seen it? its pretty deadly.

  • la gran manu

  • these vids help out alot...but da only thing is dat its only a 2-on-2....it would help more if dey used a 5-on-5 situation

  • The step back jumper is awesome, gonna try it out !!

  • Haha, hey doobiesz you're an asshole who doesn't know what you're talking about. Manu's step back is perfect. So stop talking shit, bitch.

  • Manu's step back is out of control

  • poetry in motion

  • im lakers fan aswell but cleavland are quite good uc ant just say ooh lakers are the best if u realy love the game youll see good in every team like how they play

  • This is a vid about Manu not the "pinche" Lakers. Can the Laker sausage digestion stop, please. Go to a Kobe and Lebron vid and spew ur love for them over there.

  • god manu is amazing

  • i think that D Wade's step back is more lethal.

    But Manu's is still good.

  • Manu is amazing to watch!

  • i meant *step

  • awesome!!! i love stop back j

  • ginobli pwnz

  • sponsored by converse...

  • Wade isn't known for his step back jumper

  • jea he wear hyperdunks!!!

  • Is he wearing Hyperdunks??

  • WHAT?!?!

  • no, it'll be the same theory as the pro-hop. you have two steps to take once you stop the dribble

  • where can i see all of these from the official website?
