Sorry to hear of your loss. I know what your saying about happy sad occasions Grandma's passing was sort of like that. I have never really had to face death the way I did with Grandma but the suffering was over and I was there with my Aunt when she passed which was more or less what I expected to happen and I think it was best it was just the two of us there at that moment.
hard to explain but I think it was sort of the same as you describe.
So very sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. I use to be able to walk miles in heels but these days when I wear them I look like a baby giraffe trying to walk.
So glad you made it through the eulogy. We all knew you could do it but I know it was prob one of the hardest things you'll ever do. I am so happy that you are able to find some peace. No relax for a bit and enjoy the spring.
Girl I haven't been able to wear heels for 10 yrs and now that I have a bone chip lose in my ankle I guess I won't ever wear them again. I've been where you are last time I wore heels I couldn't walk for 3 days. This getting older stuff sucks big huge donkey balls!
Bless Ya (((((Jessie))))). I believe ya . I'm a believer in the paranormal. And IMHO you can tell the difference between dust (which behaves like wind blown snow in the air) and orbs which seem to have a mind of their own and will move independently of any kinda other movement that will cause dust to react. Sometimes they can remain even stationary at times too IMO. Hugs To Ya Friend. =)
Sorry to hear about your dad and that it went well. Love the nails.. Oh I can not wear heels either, don't you hate it when you get older. lol.. Have a lovely pink day.. :-)
Such a nice idea to have some of your dads ashes in the cross. used to live in heels in my teens and 20"s but no way now, my back would really fall apart if i did, lol.
Pink really suits you and LOVE the hoochie mama nails.
Love your pink top....cause pink ROCKS!! The nails are pretty. That is cool about the cross having some of your dad's ashes. I totally understand wanting the things the way you want them. I have NEVER rocked heels...I would HURT myself. I am glad you feel at peace now.
I am sorry I have been out of the loop. I am sorry to hear about your dad. I can't imagine how you felt. You are a strong woman, and just know you have family here on YT when you need anything. Yes it makes sense that it was happy occasion on a sad day! We luv ya!!
Now about heels, you can still wear heels if you like the look of them, just don't get them too high and make sure the actual heel isn't a toothpick but has a little bit of space or heft to it so you aren't balancing on your toes. I still wear heels every day, even being this heavy, and unless I am wearing redonculous teeny heels, the feets don't hurt.
I'm glad that you got through this.. Now rest and relax, if you can. You look fantabulous. I did not say that I did not believe about the orbs, Jessie. I'm a technician in terms of photography. Dust, lighting, anything can contribute to it. That is my intellect speaking. I do know that sort of stuff happens in photos, I have some in pics I've taken myself. I'm positive it was your dad hugging your family, etc. I'm sorry I touched a sore spot. Like I said, I was just .. nevermind
I know it's been such a stressful month for you Dear Jessie. The cross will make a wonderful rosary and one that will be super special for you. Girl!! I can't wear them heels either. Since I broke my ankle you can forget about it!! I used to wear dresses to church. No more because I have to wear flats and they don't look right with a dress. Hugs Sweet Jessie!
It is always hard to lose those we love, but to lose a parent at your early age is extra hard. It would seem that you've handled it with strength and grace, and should be proud. I wish you healing.
Glad you got through it.I know what you mean about bittersweet. It seems like that is the only time we see relatives are at a funeral or memorial service.
I have to tell you this, you have the most prettiest eyes I ever seen, you got the Liz Taylor eyes going on.:) I'm glad things went well, for how well a funeral goes. I'm so sorry for you loss, It's never easy losing someone you love. Oh lord, I can't wear heels anymore either! Jeesh, last time I wore them I almost broke my damn neck! I've seen people run in heels, OMG how do they do that?!
My thoughts are with you and your family... May your dad rest in peace.

The military funeral is nuts, my great uncle was in WWII and he was buried with full honors.
Neat idea for the cross!
We scattered most of my dad, mom just kept a little of his ashes.

I'm so not looking forward to the day when I have to deal with this.
Do you pray the rosary?
I had to recite my brother's short story at his funeral. I'm glad it turned out a happy occasion.
