Of course Oscar Wilde was not gay. He was accused with it yes, and they sent him into jail for it – because he was against the system and criticised the "great" british society. They wanted to humiliate him.

Unfortunately in our "liberal" (or should I say: liberal-fascist orwellian) world they keep spreading lies about him, altough he was a sensitive straight artist man.

It's uncanny how much Stephen looks like Oscar. Stephen was beyond perfect for this role. It wouldn't have been good w/ anyone else!!!! Oscar had a brilliant mind and so does Stephen! <3

For Oscar Wilde fans, I highly recommend the book I am currently reading called Built by Books, which is a biography of the great writer - through his literary tastes. Very intriguing and it has brought to me a greater understanding and appreciation of the great historical figure. :)

I think it's one of the greatest movie with good acting and music and everything. Though, I still can't believe Oscar Wilde was gay, for some reasons...

I would say Michael Sheen was brilliant playing Robbie and I adore him (and his smile^^).

By the way, I read somewhere that it was the first appearance of Orlando Bloom... Who could ever think that his début would be a rent boy! :D
