Wonderful job!!! This is one of my three favorite Billings pieces. William Billings, a radical Massachusetts man (friends with Paul Rever) wrote this piece in 1778. Since Billings' music was directly descended from the West Gallery tradition (and was the forerunner of the American shape-note tradition), it's nice to see his music going back across the ocean and being sung in a manner that would have been familiar to him; vigorous, full-voiced, spiritual singing.
