  • I have a 1979 Cadillac Coupe de Ville (that I inherited from my aunt) & it easily outshines any luxury car that is built today. IMO Japanese carmakers don't have anything on American built cars of yesterday with the exception of fuel mileage. Luxury, room and ride with all of the creature comforts...that's what a 1979 Cadillac delivers! If the Japanese are so superior in car manufacturing, then where are all of the vintage Hondas & Toyotas on Cruz Night? Answer...they're all extinct!
