I assert that the word of god is the 7 days of creation, which is explained by the torah. Scholars study the explanation without even understanding the 7 days which leads them into all kinds of error.

Many draw error from the bible who read it in modern context, meaning the last 2 thousand years, context, those who have drawn real substance from it, read it in the context of ancient speech. The asiatic languages offer hints on this concept.
@k0smon That book is right up there with william blake's Heaven and Hell which in itself is an attempt at mocking another of the Lords works delivered in london. There is nothing to get from OAHSPE because it has the same basic tenets as the prevailing catholic doctrine, also adopted by calvinist, lutherans and a host of others that states a few stolen ideas about heaven, and then focuses on faith and charity in the same catholic context.
@rsjaa Oahspe is a many faceted book and obviously you know as little about it as I know about William Blake. He may have been influenced by Swedenborg (who Oahspe mentions). Oahspe states that Constantine 'invented' Jesus as a god for his brand of Christianity. That was a whack in the head for me as I was a fundy Christian at the time. I studied into it and eventually came to be convinced Oahspe was right. The process is called growth. Check out Carlton Pearson's gospel of inclusion.

I think The Rapture (or the snatching away) of the Church will happen within the next 10 years.
We have the signs within the Bible, both within the Old & New Testaments. Look at the state of the world today. Especially in the Middle East. Keep your eyes on Israel & Jerusalem. I think something major is going to happen soon, I can feel it & I am not by myself. There are others who feel the same as I do. I saw on news just today that 65% people think this country is headed in wrong direction!

The bible does NOT teach the rapture. Daniel, Jesus and Revelation all teach that antichrist will be given power to make war with the saints and overcome them. He will prevail. Scripture doesn't teach pre-trib rapture - ANYWHERE. But the church does and it is a false teaching. Don't believe me? Then read the teachings of Jesus Himself, and Daniel and Revelation without a preconcieved notion of what it teaches and let the Holy Spirit teach you what it actually does say. May God bless you.

I enjoy the rapture videos but I do think it will happen differently. Look again at scripture: "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." It says we will be CHANGED in the twinkling of an eye, into our incorruptible bodies. Jesus is always our example. He ascended to the Father (a type of rapture) and the disciples watched Him ascend. I believe the world will witness us rise.

I believe, per my understanding of scripture and hermeneutics, that we will be CHANGED (into incorruptible bodies) in the twinkling of an eye - not disappear that quickly. I don't think Christians will just *POOF* be gone like in the video. I believe others will watch us rise just as the disciples watched Jesus rise (since He's our example). For the record, I lean towards Pre-Trib but think we should always be ready.

That's why I stopped casting pearls before swine...he identified himself as one when all he does is trample all over God's precious Truth (Word). Jesus never did that and we shouldn't either. Many times Jesus said nothing to those who wanted to argue. "Faithful" is probably a Catholic Priest who has been so indoctrinated with religion all his life that he feels he had need of nothing, not knowing that Christianity isn't a religion but a relationship with the living God thru Jesus Christ.

Strongs defines the word "perish" here as: 'to wander away, that is lose oneself; by implication to perish (causatively, destroy): - break, destroy (-unction), + not escape, fail, lose (cause to, make) perish, spend, be undone, utterly be void of, have no way to flee.' 184 times in O.T. No disappearing! "Taken away": 'gather, receive, take away, remove (destroy, leave behind), assemble, bring, consume, destroy, fetch, gather.' It's typical Hebrew sentence structure-2 similar thoughts recurring.
and if you go by the bible, there is NO ONE being left behind...because there is NO pre-trib rapture...should the final persecution of the Church take place during our lifetimes, we will ALL be here to go through it..remember that our Lord said we would be persecuted for His Sake and that we should take up our Cross and follow Him

Some believe that the church will be rapture and then the tribulation starts. 3 1/2 good years 3 1/2 years of God's wrath. His Judgement. After that, the new city wil come down from heaven and he will begin his 1000 year reign on earth.

Rapture? Your god has not had a single success yet. He made perfect angels. He made perfect humans on a perfect earth. He had a perfect son. And ALL of them end up tortured and dead. Read 1 Th 4:17 We will be caught up to meet him. He will not return to the earth to get us . He will return after the tribulation. So, you are correct he will only return one more time. This is just a pre trib theory, Just as yours is just a post trib theory. And that is all it is. A "THEORY". And, It really doesn't matter that much. Just be ready and I wouldn't discourage anyone no matter what their belief.

If you don't repent to God during that period of Tribulation, you will be forced by that Anti-Christ and the New World Order system to take the Mark of the Beast (Satan's mark) on your hand or forehead (I think it is the future microchip implan into the skin) which is the 666 (Revelation 13)

Many draw error from the bible who read it in modern context, meaning the last 2 thousand years, context, those who have drawn real substance from it, read it in the context of ancient speech. The asiatic languages offer hints on this concept.

@k0smon That book is right up there with william blake's Heaven and Hell which in itself is an attempt at mocking another of the Lords works delivered in london. There is nothing to get from OAHSPE because it has the same basic tenets as the prevailing catholic doctrine, also adopted by calvinist, lutherans and a host of others that states a few stolen ideas about heaven, and then focuses on faith and charity in the same catholic context.

@rsjaa Oahspe is a many faceted book and obviously you know as little about it as I know about William Blake. He may have been influenced by Swedenborg (who Oahspe mentions). Oahspe states that Constantine 'invented' Jesus as a god for his brand of Christianity. That was a whack in the head for me as I was a fundy Christian at the time. I studied into it and eventually came to be convinced Oahspe was right. The process is called growth. Check out Carlton Pearson's gospel of inclusion.

I think The Rapture (or the snatching away) of the Church will happen within the next 10 years.
We have the signs within the Bible, both within the Old & New Testaments. Look at the state of the world today. Especially in the Middle East. Keep your eyes on Israel & Jerusalem. I think something major is going to happen soon, I can feel it & I am not by myself. There are others who feel the same as I do. I saw on news just today that 65% people think this country is headed in wrong direction!

The bible does NOT teach the rapture. Daniel, Jesus and Revelation all teach that antichrist will be given power to make war with the saints and overcome them. He will prevail. Scripture doesn't teach pre-trib rapture - ANYWHERE. But the church does and it is a false teaching. Don't believe me? Then read the teachings of Jesus Himself, and Daniel and Revelation without a preconcieved notion of what it teaches and let the Holy Spirit teach you what it actually does say. May God bless you.

I enjoy the rapture videos but I do think it will happen differently. Look again at scripture: "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." It says we will be CHANGED in the twinkling of an eye, into our incorruptible bodies. Jesus is always our example. He ascended to the Father (a type of rapture) and the disciples watched Him ascend. I believe the world will witness us rise.

Hi faithful827! My comment was regarding HOW the rapture would take place. I believe, per my understanding of scripture and hermeneutics, that we will be CHANGED (into incorruptible bodies) in the twinkling of an eye - not disappear that quickly. I don't think Christians will just *POOF* be gone like in the video. I believe others will watch us rise just as the disciples watched Jesus rise (since He's our example). For the record, I lean towards Pre-Trib but think we should always be ready.

Many believe that Derby was the first to teach pre-trip rapture in 1830 and that no one had every taught that before.Not so.Ephriam the Syrian in 373 AD taught it in his book"On the Return of Christ" 1700 years ago.Also, St. Jerome 347-420 taught it and was the first to mention "rapture" in connection with it.God never destroys the righteous with the unrighteous. we will ALL be "left behind" forgiven, as a pre-trib rapture is not scriptural...we will ALL go through the final persecution should we be alive when it begins...our Lord told us we would be persecuted for His Name's sake and that we should take up our cross and follow him...
He will come again ONCE in glory to judge the living and the dead at the end of time, just as His Church has ALWAYS taught, as well as MANY other ecclesial communities

"The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart;and devout men are taken away;while no one understands.For the righteous man is taken away from evil, he enters into peace,each one who walked in his upright way." No one will be invisible.The Bible doesn't say that.Those who belong to the Lord will be taken up bodily,physically,just like he was after the resurrection and the disciples stood there and watched him go(Acts 1:1-11).God took two Old Testament people the same way-bodily.Enoch Genesis5:24and Elijah 2Kings 2:9-13 just because He wanted to.God rescued Noah before the flood Gen6:5-7:1 and Lot before destruction of Sodom&Gomorrah Gen.19:12-29.He always removes His own before judgment.

Strongs defines the word "perish" here as: 'to wander away, that is lose oneself; by implication to perish (causatively, destroy): - break, destroy (-unction), + not escape, fail, lose (cause to, make) perish, spend, be undone, utterly be void of, have no way to flee.' 184 times in O.T. No disappearing! "Taken away": 'gather, receive, take away, remove (destroy, leave behind), assemble, bring, consume, destroy, fetch, gather.' It's typical Hebrew sentence structure-2 similar thoughts recurring.

Read 1 Th 4:17 We will be caught up to meet him. He will not return to the earth to get us . He will return after the tribulation. So, you are correct he will only return one more time. This is just a pre trib theory, Just as yours is just a post trib theory. And that is all it is. A "THEORY". And, It really doesn't matter that much. Just be ready and I wouldn't discourage anyone no matter what their belief.

Faithful, If there is no Pre-Trib rapture, you know what, i will still go to heaven. I just don't listen to someone elses theory or opinion. I read and study so that I can see for myself which is what I recommend that you do. You give no reference to any scripture for your "THEORY". A Post trib is just what someone taught you. That is all it is.

actually picker, i was taught pre-trib when i was growing up ... thankfully i was able to make my way to the Church authorized by our Lord, which contains the FULLNESS of TRUTH ... which is why i am assured that there is NO pre or mid trib "snatching away" of believers... which only exists as man's erroneous interpretation of scripture in the first place
