Haven't read all the comments but I've read a few Port ones talking about their loyalty and being the pride of SA. If you really were the pride of SA, you would've stood alongside the rest of the SANFL when the Vics came asking for a SA team for the AFL. But no, you dogged your own state and put your own bid forward for a team, hence the Crows were born as a counterbid from the rest of the SANFL. And yes the Power is the original SANFL Port team; the current SANFL port team was founded in 97.
We didnt dog the state. We put a bid in in1990 and we were rejected by the sanfl, so they actually dogged us, as well as the afl. I don't follow port magpies (go panthers) so im not going to go on about port magpies, but in a way were a the true pride cause we do have a history. Crows just came from no where, like west coast. And you choke as much as port.

Id just typed in adelaide crows and this video came up so i thought id watch it, and it was very funny. Having said that a video like this could be made up about every team. And yer we were expected to beat collingwood but it wasnt as if port had no chance of beating geelong, theyd beaten them in rd 17 of that year i think and they also demolished north leading up into the gf whereas geelong only just snuck through against the pies.
well, lets leave it at this. Yes. Port did get killed in the Grandfinal, we got embarrased. BUT. We did make the GF, we were the 2nd best team in the AFL in 07, and runners up to Geelong. We got killed, yes. But we finished second and we were the 2nd best tteam in 07. Crows were the 8th best. Port second best...
Im a die hard crows supporter and as much as i love them this video does sum up alot of the mistakes they have made over the years. Having said that this video was made on the assumption that the crows were definitely going to miss the finals, the crows have been an underated team for years now and manage to make the finals year after year, which is more than can be said for the power.

Yeah my team Geelong won the grand final last year. We weren't good enough to go back to back though.. still living in adelaide you have to laugh at the crows because with 40,000 fans and millions more on the waiting list doesn't mean you succeed in the big league. Even north melbourne have had more success than the crows in the last ten years.
Its lucky for the rest of the teams in the AFL that the AFL itslef isnt run like most national sports in other countrys. No salary cap and the clubs take there percentage of merchandise sales. Not to mention the draft. Were the AFL collect all profits from merchandise and divide it at the end of the season. If the AFL operated like premier league soccer in the UK or major league baseball in the US in 2 seasons the CROWS would be unstoppable.
Yeah and teams like carlton and collingwood would try to buy a premiership! Thats why the draft was introduced to stop the wealthy teams buying players and to try and even up teh comp.
go back before the draft was brought in by the afl and see how the clubs performed. Carlton went out and brought Motley, Naley, Kernahan, Williams etc... to try and get success! I think they got at least 1 maybe 2 premierships out of it as well.

The Crows have the largest paid supporter base than any club in the comp, around 50,000 and would have to be one of the biggest if not the biggest seller of team merchandise because of sheer supporter base and if Collingwood make so much money from other businesses and land , then why the $2 million loss for the '08' season ?? And considering the draw was rigged so they only played outside Vic 3-4 times they didnt have to spend much on travel.

Looking at the talent coming through.. what about little Petrenko, dominating every game in the SANFL, aswell as Otten. Taylor Walker still hasnt played a game and Myke Cook (the X factor) has been injured too. We havent forgot about Sellar either.
We will win it in 2010 (hopefully) and Tippett and Porps will get the winning goals.

Oh please, everyone in Australia knows that port adelaide have the most feral supporters, always has been that way always will be that way. As for the elim final this year, i seem to remember that the final margin wasnt 119 pts, it was only five goals and as for their best players missing Swan was out there who in my opinion is their most damaging player. Its one thing to lose an elim by 5 goals, its another to turn up on grand final day a get flogged by 119pts.

Id just typed in adelaide crows and this video came up so i thought id watch it, and it was very funny. Having said that a video like this could be made up about every team. And yer we were expected to beat collingwood but it wasnt as if port had no chance of beating geelong, theyd beaten them in rd 17 of that year i think and they also demolished north leading up into the gf whereas geelong only just snuck through against the pies.

Im a die hard crows supporter and as much as i love them this video does sum up alot of the mistakes they have made over the years. Having said that this video was made on the assumption that the crows were definitely going to miss the finals, the crows have been an underated team for years now and manage to make the finals year after year, which is more than can be said for the power.

Yeah my team Geelong won the grand final last year. We weren't good enough to go back to back though.. still living in adelaide you have to laugh at the crows because with 40,000 fans and millions more on the waiting list doesn't mean you succeed in the big league. Even north melbourne have had more success than the crows in the last ten years.

Its lucky for the rest of the teams in the AFL that the AFL itslef isnt run like most national sports in other countrys. No salary cap and the clubs take there percentage of merchandise sales. Not to mention the draft. Were the AFL collect all profits from merchandise and divide it at the end of the season. If the AFL operated like premier league soccer in the UK or major league baseball in the US in 2 seasons the CROWS would be unstoppable.

go back before the draft was brought in by the afl and see how the clubs performed. Carlton went out and brought Motley, Naley, Kernahan, Williams etc... to try and get success! I think they got at least 1 maybe 2 premierships out of it as well.

The Crows have the largest paid supporter base than any club in the comp, around 50,000 and would have to be one of the biggest if not the biggest seller of team merchandise because of sheer supporter base and if Collingwood make so much money from other businesses and land , then why the $2 million loss for the '08' season ?? And considering the draw was rigged so they only played outside Vic 3-4 times they didnt have to spend much on travel.

I wouldnt say that because not all their players will be retired in 2010; and 2010 is the year of the Crows. Looking at the talent coming through.. what about little Petrenko, dominating every game in the SANFL, aswell as Otten. Taylor Walker still hasnt played a game and Myke Cook (the X factor) has been injured too. We havent forgot about Sellar either.
We will win it in 2010 (hopefully) and Tippett and Porps will get the winning goals.

What is better: Having a supposed "double chance" Playing Geelong, a side that is going to flog the shit out of anyone this year. Thats 1 chance gone already anyway.
