I think it's a shame we have to compare them at all. I think they're both brilliant, in very different ways, and have both expressed their mutual admiration for each other more than once. Why do we feel the need to make these endless comparisons between female artists? If it's not Kylie and Madonna, it's Kylie and Gaga, or Gaga and Madonna. It's fine to fiercely support one artist, but why do we then have to reject the merits of every other artist who falls into a similar category to her?

The Madonna haters are really pathetic, ALWAYS trying to bring her down for ANYTHING. Yes Madonna doesn't have the best voice in the world, she and her fans are the first ones to admit it. But she's NOT talentless, songwriting and creating music is a BIG talent and it's definitively MORE IMPORTANT to me than having a perfect voice in concert. Kylie is maybe a better singer but her lack of involvement in her career is why she CAN'T be called better than Madonna. Madonna is a COMPLETE artist.

i have been to every tour she has done since 2001, and she sings live for the simple fact she has made one or two lyric mistakes here and there...which obv wouldnt be there if she was miming.....kylie cant sing or sell records...her anticipated new single barely scraped the top 5...

I hate to argue and banter. I love Madonna 2 and I've seen every tour since Like A Virgin back in 84-85. She has admitted in interviews that there are times where the dancing and things she is doing on stage are 2 vigorous for her to actually sing those songs so she has no problem with lip-synching. I didn't say she lip sych's the whole concert. I saw Kylie many times from Front row center stage, & she never lip-synchs.

Madonna didnt write this song for Kylie. Madonna wrote and recorded a version with William Orbit and Rick Knowles for the Ray Of Light album in 1997. Alone Again, Liquid Love, Revenge, Has To Be and a cover of the ABBA classic Like An Angel Passing Through My Room all failed to make the final album. Madonna gave Kylie the song in 2002, it was produced by Rick Knowles. I strongly suggest you seek out the other songs that didnt make Ray Of Light which i have mentioned, especially the ABBA cover!!

Er... indeed a great song by Kylie but it most certainly WAS written by Madonna. She gets writers credit in Kylie's White Diamond documentary.

I am so disappointed this never got a proper release because, quite frankly, it's bloody amazing. I can imagine Madonna singing it but you can't deny that Kylie's delivery is rather lovely.
