There is a time to call it a day. That time is long overdue for what is left of Echo and the Bunnymen. Mac should disappear for awhile, quit smoking, have a makeover and voice rehabilitation and start a career as a TV presenter or something. Will still has cred but he is clearly just putting up with Mac for the paycheck. I used to love this band but watching their slow death over the past 24 years has been painful and I'm not going to do it anymore.
@thebigsee you twat the last thing they need is low lives like you giving them crap, if man wants to smoke he can, i think it gives his voice a nice change from the 80's, and if will happy to carry on and adventure new parts of music he should be aloud, not just for the paycheck, he obviously has enough to live to live off untill he dies so its not for that mate.
Mac's too cool stage persona just makes this look like they don't give a shit anymore. And maybe they don't . If you can't put your heart into it then stay at home.
Well i'll be a bit critical, the vocals are so so, the refrain lacks those high pitched vocals, don't know why people don't pay attention to how everything sounds on stage!
This is another one that makes the memories of my golden days come flooding back,, saw them do this in a bowling alley in W. Hempstead NY 1981- 82 ,, $5 admission and you got a free game to boot lol
I was out drinking with my mates in a pub in Liverpool about 10 years ago, Ian Mc was in the pub with Gary Christian from the band 'The Christians' and some other friends, one of them had an accoustic guitar, Ian wouldnt play any songs, but he did join in when the whole pub sang 'Hey Jude' and 'Mrs Robinson' to name a few! ....Me and my mates spent the rest of the afternoon and evening drinking in hisr company......It was one of them moments in my life that won't forget
Bollocks you speak, U2 can sell out stadiums in every country on this planet.
Where's their New Years Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Streets, With or Without, One, The Fly. U2 have had continued chart success with new material for 25 years, what other band has. Wake the fuck up!!!
Bunnymen are a good band, but please don't compare them to a great band with hits, tours, fans and sales figures to back up 'opinion'.
Used to think these guys were the best of the best. Went and saw Paul McCartney at the Hollywood Bowl last night and I saw what a real performance is for the first time. Will Sergeant is awesome, but Ian McCulloch is beyond boring, even insulting, actually. People pay good money to have him come out, croak through a set and pay more attention to his beverages and cigarettes than the audience. I expect more from entertainers these days.
It is so great to see the Bunnymen, and the Psych Furs back on stage, and just as electrifying as ever! It's like waking up a part of me that I thought had died, or at least gone into a coma. Shame on me: Hooray for them.
Wow the bunny men..thanx for this..luv it...the 80s yes were ok but..not all wonderful..same with the70s..but then wow boy Is this old girl getting old..amazing thanx...
The tune comp. is great of course, but the way the lyrics fit together in their songs made them so much better. The choice of words and how they flow is so poetic.
I am 53, and live in Ohio , Amish country, mind you! Had the pleasure of listenting to his and his friends music,I am pretty on w/ music, my son came to visit around Easter this past year and whe I heard Killing Moon, I have not stopped listening to it! IT RULES!!!!!!! MOM,NOT FULL OF HORSE SHIT IN AMISH COUNTRY!
Age gets a grip on us all I know it has on me, but at least Ian and Siouxsie have all thier amazing achievements out there for all to see. Not many of us can say that now can we. Saw the Bunnymen a year or so ago in Glasgow and yes Ians voice has changed but he can still stand on a stage and be worshiped like the god he is. I've prayed at his alter since I was 12 and I would still give my right hand for an hour with him alone. P.S., I'm left handed.

Echo was like U2 without the political BS. They should have been as big as U2. Bono turned into the Oprah of rock.
