the mid to late sixties were such a versital time in rock history.psycodellic,folk,folk-rock,country-rock,british blues, hard rock, standard rock, ect. what I liked about parsons was he blended traditional country sounds but into a showcase clearly rock.the content was something country would'nt touch, but rock would because it had that rebellion in it rock was all about. parsons, gave birth to the outlaw country artists like waylon jennings and willie nelson. even though they'd been around years.
Gram was a beautiful man and such a loss of talent and a vision that was decades before its time.Im sure gram would have also hated todays pop/country garbage. Where are the gram parsons where are the conway twittys, where are the waylon jennings in todays music? WHERE? all we have is fake rolled off the assembly line crap
If that is an actual music video for Hickory Wind, where do I get it????
