I didnt expect much when i hunted down the episodes for this show...especially because of the flash animation style or whatever, but I ENDED UP LOVING THIS FUCKING SERIES!!!! I WAS SAD TO SEE IT END!!! I WAS SHOCKED THAT MARVEL KEPT IT SO REAL IN REGARDS TO THINGS HAPPENING IN THIS WORLD!!!! CHECK THIS SERIES OUT A.S.A.P.!!!! i'm quite impressed. john romitas artwork tranformed into animation, what more could u ask for? i guess for some facetious killjoys that unless it resembles the same old style of tired-ass played out japanese anima it isn't worth the time watching. as a black man i'm certainly proud that bet finally stepped outside the same ol same to produce a cartoon that would instill pride in african americans as well as stir the imagination of our black youth... big-ups to marvel and BET, thx!

ok....limited animation...like the 60s marvel cartoons..POOR! The episode in Fan. 4 with the Panthers first animated appearance was better than this.

And Priest was better at writing political stories than Hudlin..Priest has been writing comics for over 15 years. Marvel just wanted star power. All Hudlin did was "Americanize" the African struggle. I know Africans who are insulted by Hudlin's writing CRAP

I know already I want the DVD. A live action Black Panther movie is what I really want, Reginald Hudlins take on the Panther is my very favorite and I'm so thrilled they used it for the series. It's also the perfect story for the live action movie.

It looks similar to the MAXX series MTV had about 10 years ago and a mixture of the 60's comic series. Because this is a teaser hopefully they will change the tone and language cause it sounded redundant. "Stay cool" in 8000 BC..riiiight. Also, hopefully imagi or production NG will get their hands on it and make it like Afro Samaurai thats harsh.

It's only saving grace is that it is only a Teaser, and from the looks of it very early in production. I like that they kept the artist's style but they should have seriously considered a more fluid animation or a look that could have lent itself easier to animation.

John Romita Jr's artwork and that crappy faux American Anime style don't mix. Romita is one of the best and I'm glad they used his style. I'm far more interested in keeping the stories true to The Panther. I can't wait to see Captain America get his ass kicked!
