  • Thanks a trillion man!

I didn't give up until i got the results you had.

    You helped a ton. ^_^

  • ok, well, the audio is really fucked up and I can't seem to find a video on youtube that explains why its either not working or just plays the soundtrack audio (no dialogue)

  • more or less, this worked just fine. I had to install the avisynth program, change the program that the .avs file opens with to ".txt", dragged it over to virtualdub and viola! it actually fucking worked! thanks a lot, i'll play with this some more :)

  • I second what Mark said, really need help finiding out how to convert mp4 to avi using virtualdub

  • Request : How to convert MP4 files into AVI files. Pretty please :D

  • Dont work for me. It says:

    Avisynth open failure:

Script error: there is no function named: "spline36resize"

  • Thanks! Worked perfectly and solved all my problems :)

  • It worked just as you said.. BUT 2 things thats been brought up... it save the files HUGE like 200 GB and also there are no OPTIONS in the save as function... HELP???

  • @RiversDJ What codec did you use to convert?

and try the virtualdub that i use, check in the description for the download link

  • Hey Roy. Please post a DL for the VirtualDub, you use cause i can´t find any good one here on net.

  • @TheWallsBreak Okay There

  • i think i did everything right but when i try to open my video with it, it sais " AVI Import filter error: (unknown) (80040154). i dont know what it means please help

  • @GiveDares You must not have the right codecs, try downloading the CCCP if you like

  • Thanks for this, works like a charm after I figured out you said 'avs' instead of 'abs'. lol

  • You're god.

  • When I convert a Match (35min) the file size advances to 101GB ^^

Help would be very helpfull :) please

  • @DswiZzyifY What type of codec are you using?

  • @RoyzMVs

    no options there...

    it just shows me:

    save as avi : /

  • ROY U DUMB FUCK YOU HAVE THE NOTE PAD ALMOST INVISIBLE...ZOOM NEXT TIME DIPSHIT

  • AVI Import Filter error (unknown)(80040154)

    help me plz

  • @796305001 From where are you getting this error from?

  • @RoyzMVs when i put the file to virtualdub

  • @796305001 make sure when you went to "save as.." on the notepad that you put .avs and also make sure you got the right codecs, like the CCCP

  • It worked great but suddenly I can't open the AVS file...

  • @Rectofilo Make sure you got the program requirements..you maybe did a mistake or changed something like your codecs or just accidently removed a program etc

  • @RoyzMVs I downloaded an older version of VirtualDub, now it works.

  • thats amazing :l

the codec u used is great.

i tried it, and the 720p media has no lag wat so ever :/

but it went from a 117mb files 2 a 2 GB file. do u compress the build up afterwords or do u keep it the same?

  • @bitchesbecrazay i keep the converted file,i only compress it once i finish a project with the media, and if you have a large HDD/External HDD then you shouldnt have a problem storing all that converted medai since they turn into GB sometimes but if u dont have enough space then i would suggest trying a different codec and just experiment, but afterwards i delete the media after im done with it and keep the original (mkv file)

  • @RoyzMVs ohhh yea i have an external i store all my unneeded project media there.this is a great tutorial and very helpful.imma do this 2 all my mkv files now :D

    thank you roy

  • @bitchesbecrazay No problem.

  • @bitchesbecrazay: You need to go to "Video -> Direct Stream Copy" then it will have an appropiate file size.

  • Hey, I was hoping you could give me a hand, I did everything as you suggested, but when I got to saving, the only option I had was Save as AVI, not Save File. It doesn't have all the codec options and stuff, how do I get those?

  • @FlammableDWMF yeah virtual dub only gives you the option to convert into avi, fortunately you can always convert that into something thats more compatible with your and your pc,and since its no longer mkv you shouldnt have a problem converting that, but yeah unfortunately vdub only gives avi

  • Hey, guys, if Virtual Dub tells you that it can't load the avs file, or if it says that the prog doesn't work anymore, just run VirtualDub as Administrator. Worked for me.

  • wot version of Virtual Dub do you use?

  • @VIPMVidz 1.5.10.2

  • @RoyzMVs thank man you've help me alot.

i jt started to work with 720p n omg respect to all the guys the used 720p it is so hard work with.

  • Now, I followed your instructions, but the quality of the video wasn't all that good. Did I do something wrong????

    Please reply

  • @Everette1233 Well the main point of this tutorial is for Vdub to allow mkv files to be open. The quality is all on you, depending on what codec you chose to convert into..i use lagirth codec which keeps the quality but makes the file bigger then the original which isnt suggested if you hava a small HDD or if you just dont want huge files

  • @RoyzMVs Do you know of any other good codecs?

  • @Everette1233 Well idk really the only main ones im more familiar with are Xvid and DIvx,i know there are more but i havent tried them out,so i would suggest just experimenting ...sorry for the late reply

  • It works now, much love. lol

    Thanks a bunch.

  • @Thunderjammers Anytime bro

  • wher do you get you wwe videos from ?

    Please Pm Me !

    Thx

  • TV duh

  • You sound like Sylvester Stallone lol. But great vid man.

  • Where do you get your wrestling clips from??? :D Thanks in advance

  • Bad q man =/

  • @iplusk I mean this vid, not the converted vids lol

  • i didnt bother in making it HD like the recent vids i posted, would of taken to long to upload

  • How do you upload AVS script files onto VirtualDub anyway? If you get this please reply as soon as possible.

  • @KrazyKartoonKid your gonna need AviSynth first of all in order for the avs files to work, after that just folllow the tutorial

  • u could also use Ultra Mobile 3GP Video Converter =o

  • not as good

  • I used to use MKV TO AVI CONVERTER but not anymore thanks!

  • You can also get the DShowInput Plugin for Virtualdub. In case it doesn't get to read the mkv, rename it to mp4 ...

I use ffdshow and Haali Media Splitter...

  • it all depends.changing your extension to mp4 usually wont work, but try anything that works for you, this is just something i did to hopefully some people, but thanks for that info

  • no. it does work the way I described you. I was just telling you another way :)

The bad thing is it doesn't support Keyframes yet...
