starcraft 1 mod to look like star craft 2

actually not bad, it looks like sc2 on the lowest settings, props for this mod whoever made it, but i would rather just play sc2 :)

not exactly ini-files, but theres a "variables.txt" in which you can change a lot of things - provided you have a good pc.

My GTX470@ 800 was too slow for big changes...

In theory, you could set for example the texture sizes to 1x1 instead of the normal sizes :D worse then minecraft... message me if you want a short summary of good settings and how to force them. Would be too big for comment area.

@sithalo yes, but I think they are bad, because there are ways to get way more performance than on lowest ingame settings, and way bether graphics than the maximum ingame.

Have you ever seen Crysis 1 settings for example? You can set it to "meh, looks like 1995" to "looks like fcking crysis" ingame. Way more scalability than in SC II.

But they are usually only used in laptops, and if you have a laptop, you shouldnt overclock.

To be honest, it looks like you just took screenshots of models from SC2 and pasted them onto SC1 units. It just ends up looking kind of. . . bad. Why couldn't you make custom sprites to fit SC1 style graphics? It would take some time, but it'd probably have an overall better look to it if you actually invested the effort. =P
