@getuga22 by "whites" i'm assuming you mean white people and though i should mention that at the most, a tan can only give you UVA protection of factor 3 so all races need to be protected
It's really fucking retarded that whenever you try to find info on identifying skin cancer, they only show pictures that are blatenly obviously skin cancer, and don't show any examples of milder less obvious skin cancer. It's always pictures that are, if it looks like this, you're fucked, and blind not to have noticed it earlier.
This video leaves out nodular melanoma which is what I had. Not all melanoma looks like a mole. Not all melanoma has irregular borders. Mine looked like a bug bite, it was pearl white, and very round. It just wouldn't go away and it itched terribly. I was very surprised to find out it was melanoma. If you have any weird thing on your skin that does not go away in a reasonable amount of time, see a dermatologist. Don't wait.
Hmmm, I am glad I saw your message. I have a weird looking mole and past month I got weird burnt looking spots with pink on the outside. I went to a Walk in clinic and they said it wasn't anything to worry about. But now i am getting it in another spot...
@saypompung I don't know if the doctor you saw at the walk-in clinic is a dermatologist or not. But if not, please go see a dermatologist. If they think it necessary they will remove it and biopsy it. If it's serious, you'll have caught it in time. If it's not serious, you'll at least have peace of mind.
@meisteik It was like two weeks ago, and now it's gone. Apparently it was an infected wound. It was growing by like 3-4mm each day, but after a few days it just started to heal.
@ringhede92 - Pray to your god and stay indoors or better yet! there is a cave in the caucasus mountains where you dont have to pay rent. Its free. Our sun doesnt like Tamahu, only aboriginal people.
So I figure I might as well take my chances and live my life how ever I please no matter how unhealthy some may view it. On the other hand, if you have precious children, a signifigant other and family that loves you. STOP TANNING!
I don't have any family or children or a signifigant other that cares and I'm now 46 yrs. old. If I were to die, it wouldn't effect a lot of people. I don't have a death wish hanging over my head; but I know all too well that some die even if they live a perfectly clean living life; practicing all the proper healthy habits. My Mom died @ 39 and never layed in a tanning bed once.
I own a tanning bed. I've had it for roughly 5-6 yrs. Before I bought the tanning bed, I would go to the tanning salon 6 mos. out of the year and did that for approx. 20 yrs. So I've been tanning for 25-26 yrs. When you go to the tanning salon, they only allow you to lay for 20-30 mins. Now that I have my own tanning bed, I lay for 40-50 mins. ea. time. I'm extremely dark but probably not healthy.
@eyeluvcloe stop killing yourself my friend.i was sitting under the syn for about15 years and created3 warts and i make about 70 solariums visits in all my lifeand now i have upwards of 25 i will never have a solarium tann again.sorry for my bad english.greetings from greece
I am only 22 years old and I recently had Melanoma removed on my neck. If anyone in your family has had skin cancer, get any abnormal moles looked at! I didn't take it serious until the doctor explained they litterally grow down through your skin untill they become deadly. Just because your young doesn't mean your safe...
today was a really hot day, and i was helping my uncle in the sun, and now i found on my back, above my backside, a white little thing, feels like a mole, looks like a mole, but only white =S i was thinking what it could be, better to be safe then sorry right ? but i touched it and if felt ticklish =S by the way, im only 13 =P so i dont know alot about this so dont laugh if im way off =P
I have the cure to Melanoma and will gladly provide you with the information (Im a survivor of stage 3), Things like Provectus Pharmaceuticals PV10 ROSE BENGAL, VITAMIN B17 APPLE AND APRICOT SEEDS, MEGADOSE INTRAVENOUS VITAMIN C INFUSIONS, AND OTHER VARIOUS TREATMENTS MSG ME NOW IF YOU WANT TO LIVE
I was searching on the net and found a company that may have found the cure to this. Since I cannot post a link I will have to tell you how I found it. I went to yahoo and typed VICL message board and when your on there you goto the left column where it says "News & Info " then you click on "headlines" they posted it today Aug 3rd Sorry for the long post but I cant do a link on here
i have a big red spot after i went out for a walk and the next day the red spot show up i went to the skin doc and he say i dont have skin cancer he really do know what i have i use denorex shamppoo and that what eat my skin now iam fuck and it say in back of the label it does cause cancer
Also, if you have a mole that you are uncomfortable with for ANY reason, insist a biopsy. Many cancerous moles get passed off as warts or regular moles. Don't let your doctor bully you or intimidate you. They can and often do make mistakes. Also, insist on getting a "punch biopsy" test. Shaving the mole doesn't show the depth of the mole. Nodular melanomas are sometimes missed because they spread downwards into the skin, where as superficial melanomas spread horizontally on the top of the skin.
I wish that the medial community would stop telling people that a mole has to be 6mm or more to be potentially cancerous. People have had moles much smaller than that and they turned out to be cancer. Another thing I find missleading is the "ABCDs" of a mole. A mole CAN be symetrical and still be cancerous. They can also be one solid colour. They don't have to have different shades of the same colour.
Malignant cells are errant trophoblasts {healing cells}. The healing process is turned off with cyanide-rich Amygdalin {vitamin B17}: the bitter substance found in may seeds & broad-leaf grasses, bamboo, bitter almonds, etc. Cancer {never cancers} is a chronic metabolic disease that has nothing to do with heredity, environmental factors or toxins. As the Western diet, through processing, eliminates raw seeds, millet, etc., cancer rates escalate. See the film: "A World Without Cancer."
There is this other guy Alex Chiu with his Immortality Rings, he treated lots of cancer cases including skin cancer. I had his Immortality Rings on and it certainly did help alot.
I had a melanoma at my back. I went to a skin specialist and she discovered a very bad looking melanoma at my back. Go very quickly to the next clinic for skin diseases. Do not wait too long. If you are waiting for more than eight weeks you will be die quickly. But fortunately the melanoma cells hadn`t foraminated any blood vessels and had come just in time.
My Grandmother would always make a fuss when she saw us sunbathe. I would laugh when I was young. I got my dark looks from her. ...Now I know why. It is not just people with fair skin that need to worry.
I know Its difficult & unrealistic 2 "stay out of the sun" but use sun block & dont go tanning. I had a skin cancer scare in 2008,thankfully the biospy on the mole was noncanerous but it was a torturous week of waiting and the doc said the mole indicates that im more susceptible to skin cancer than the average person. Now I have to go for full body checkups a few times a year because the doc said i have a few moles that "look funny" and he wants to keep a close eye on. This is no joke people.
im 13, and i noticed a tiny tiny tiny little freckle appear of my toe and got a little suspicious cus its middle of winter, and i hardly went outside at all. its next to a HUGE dark birth mark i think i've had since birth, but anyway, i look like i hard a dark triangular freckle that appeared like 2 summers or so on my shoulder, im young, and got anxiety so i may just be over worrying, but anyway, they havent spread at all or gotten bigger, just tiny ones appear. if u think im fine, plz reply
I just had my melanoma (clark IV = deadly) removed, and some glands removed as well. I waited too far long time for the removal. The sign in the birthmark was that it rised above the level of the skin(like a hill) and started to itch constantly. When it open up autonomic and my breathing got bad, I got the sence to my mind and rushed to the doctor.
I´m still alive....but dont wait THAT long if you suspect changes in a birthmark.
Not so far. I go to specialist each month to check up on changes. I follow a herb program and some homeopathic remedies (and keep away from to much sunlight), which seems to work good.
I just got finished with my second bout with melanoma and I'm only 20. This time it didn't spread before I caught it. Thank god! Last time it had just begin to spread to my nodes so I had to go on infearon. I'm getting the sense this is gonna be a constant struggle. Just wish I would have known when I was younger to stay out of the sun.

Something about doctors taking my cells to clone them to kill my bad cells scares the crap out of me. Granted getting cancer every year isn't the greatest but the treatments they have now works fine for me. And I get checked like every month so all they gotta do when they find one is cut it out.
