No car can handle full power with standard cooling system standing on place. Crudely, divide engine max power with 3 and you get, how much power in form of heat the cooling system have to transfer into air. Exhaust system dissipates about same amount of heat. With 300kW your cooling system has to transfer 100kW of heat power into air, or your engine blows.

If the rotary was as good as some on here claim it would not have blown. The rotary is a let down for many including the driver in this vid. I replaced mine and am happy. The car is way better than it was with the junk engine.
If you can't abuse a supposed performance engine, then it doesn't perform very well does it? The rotary is junk and can't take the abuse. End of story.
