Too bad this is not a C-1. Notice the skinny fuselage, the absence of the passenger windows low on the fuselage--and of course the presence of the bomb racks on the bottom of the wings. I was a C-1A crewman in VR-24 Naples, Italy with more than 2500 flight hours in the C-1A.
spent many many hours in the S2C during Vietnam war. It was so ugly, yet had a charm. If an engine went out you became the busiest pilot in the world to keep it flying straight and level. The only plane that had a thing called a "ruder boost"
@Dman4158 that is a Eastern TBM-3 Avenger was a very effective torpedo/scout bomber used by the us Navy during ww2. George H.W. Bush flew TBM and TBF's of the USS San Jacinto during WW2 and was shot down off Chici Jima and was rescued by the the USS FInback.
Great ,love it ,I just wonder why we dont see more Tracker/Trader's as warbirds I was down for the Tucson airshow this yeah and could not believe how many of those planes still exist and in original condition
Thanks. Love the sound.
Same engines as the T-28... like 2 T-28s in tight formation.

I think the first plane is a Fokker F-27, maybe produced by Fairchild Hiller.
