  • Such a great video :)

  • I love the video. You rock! :)

  • OMG, what did images from 9 11 have anything to do with your fashion video? It is sad and sickening . Shame on u!

  • @DonnyAllStar it could be in relation to what he said about how fashion includes behaviours, what we do, what we see etc.

  • is testosterone also fashion?

  • Damn! That was awesome.

  • line at the end of the dialogue. brilliant! X

  • Fashion is art, communication, compliance and/or rebellion all in one, no other medium can be used to make such impression without a single word written or spoken in daily life. Glad to hear it is finally being recognized as more than a show without any depth.

  • Rinaldi is ART and ART is fashion. Without Fashion Rinaldi is nothing.

  • Damn, at first I though you wrote that....and was about to say damn you're a smart cookie. But then i read your description saying that you didn't write it and was like damn it - he's dumb as bricks and is just a pretty face. OH WELL!

  • Excellent, excellent vid. I could have lived without the 9/11 bit though.

  • You are wonderfully creative. This was so visually inspiring!

  • you are such a powerful communicator, every time i watch you i think, oh my god, he has such a great future ahead of him, your voice, your accent, your looks, but more than anything, your incredible charm. really enjoy your videos so much. dusty sent me.

  • lolllll I like how america is a house and porno stars. and I like how you say seduce :)

  • fashion is being in style and dressing great while not fallowing trends and also not dressing in stuff that is already out. the best dress people never fallow them big fads.

  • Beautiful video! One of my favorite quotes- “Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society" Mark Twain

    xoxo jan

  • Beautiful, insightful, truthful and thought provoking. Dustin hunter sent me!

  • Ps, definately my favorite video so far!!!

  • I love how you showed the tie between the philosophical and media aspects of fashion. Most of us (including myself) would have never thought of seeing fashion in this perspective.

  • This is wonderful...it completely embodies my ideas and feelings towards fashion and style. Well done :)

  • Amazing! I love this video :) ♥

  • wow deep. i love it.

  • If fashion is advertising then style is individualism. Fashion can be bought, but style is your own.

  • This was amazing

  • Wow, I love this

  • They will be sale

  • I honestly fucking love this video! i posted it on my facebook and tumblr :)

  • be aware of the ideas you advertise because they will be bought.. i love that..

  • Great video. Although artists and musicians also make some of these claims about their own fields being the study of human identity and culture. I dont get the 9/11 part...

  • Love Love Love!!! You're brilliant babe!! xoxo Christine

  • Fashion is everything, it's your way of expression. The way we carry ourselves. Good job sweetheart.

  • Just noticed you have a very nasal voice

  • amazing x x

  • Are you implying that fashion caused Al Qaeda to attack the US? "That's life. That's fashion. It's ideas. Fashion caused that to happen." I don't see a relationship between acts of terrorism and fashion and don't think that trivializing such an event is very tasteful.

  • @brentboy81 No, I don't think he did, what he's trying to express is that fashion is the way we are, the way we carry ourselves, it's humanity. It's not taste, those images are very sensitive but it's humanity, it's us, it's what we do to each other....if anything you should be inspired to not be like the people who cause suffering. That's just my take on it though, and it's respectful to share opinions, and I definitely respect yours :)

  • What music is this? Does anyone know? Great video

  • @nopseudosleft56 It's called 'Need To Feel Loved' by Reflekt ft. Delline Bass (Adam K & Soha remix) but it's a special instrumental mix I cut myself so you won't be able to get this exact instrumental

  • @TheStrangerSpeaks Love your instrumental mix it's so dreamy, i've already got the original version but is there a way you could share your version? :) Love your vid it made me think so much more out of the box!

  • great video editing and work! much appreciated x

  • WOW. im very impressed, awesome video

  • Fantastic video. Superbly put together. I love the ideas expressed on the behalf of Eugenia Paulicelli and your execution of them. I feel this is provides a way for people, both inside and outside of fashion, to understand what is at the root of it and that it is in fact not just inaccessible clothing draped on a model for display, but that so much more lies beneath it. Thank you for putting this up.

  • fashion is part of culture... yay sociocultural anthropology!

  • I love your wisdom and you certainly understand fashion. It can be anything and everything, it's just how you see it. ;)

  • I was just allured by your voice :) I loved the tone of your voice.

    Take Care.

  • what track did you use here, I like it :)

  • great video but the music kinda distracting..

  • Maybe the twin towers at the end wasn't a very good idea since Bin Laden(American Terrists) just got killed

  • I absolutely love love love this video. please make more videos like this. You did such a great job, i am most defiantly inspired. This video is greatly executed and i can tell that you believe these ideas just as everyone else who watches this does. Great Job.

  • Great video! I love what she said, it makes me think of fashion other then just the way we look, but our whole lifestyle.

  • That was amazing! I see the idea of fashion in a whole new light, no longer just as what people choose to wear. Thanks!

  • god i love your videos they are truly a work of art

  • Honey, great job! I think there are not many people on YouTube that understands fashion as a whole entity, as a determinant of culture, as your own advertisement. :D love it!

  • i agree with @ClaudiaMSutton, you ought to check out Manufacturing Consent, if you haven't already. Your video has certainly given me pause. At first I felt the use of the 9/11 clips was in poor taste, and perhaps it is, but its forcing me to consider WHY you used it. I wish, for the sake of discussion, I could actually sit down face to face with you about your thoughts regarding this video. Comment Section-tag just won't cut it.

  • I need to pay you to do my voiceovers...sounds so good.

  • i just want to say I'm not particular to the usual videos that talk about make up and products and all the common things that has run its once 'exciting' course on me.

but having studied the media and pursuing a career in the media, i was interested in what you had to say. even though the speech wasn't yours, your presentation was very informative and entertaining. Love your voice.

after having done some videos myself, i gotta work on mine.

keep up the good work ;)

  • i feel like the twin towers were a little inappropriate, but i think i understand the idea you tried to have behind it

seems like a well thought out video

  • what colour do you have on your nails ?

  • very interesting

  • your voice is amazing!

  • A very interesting artistic take on how things are.

Random question: Have you ever seen Manufacturing Consent? You might like it. :)

    Cheers.

  • I think you did an excellent job with this video. I didn't know it was coming but, now that I've seen it, I'm inspired and plan to even quote you in order to shed some wisdom and light in times of life's mysteriously dark and confusing events.

  • @motled They aren't my words I just performed it; I don't take credit. I did write it in the downbar, but in case anyone doesn't read that: It's arranged from a text written by Eugenia Paulicelli from 2009, a Professor of Italian and Comparative Literature and founder of the Graduate Center's Fashion Studies concentration, so you'll need to quote her. The only part that's mine is the opinion I give at the end of the dialogue where I say 'I'

  • ...What? Personally, I like you and your videos, but this one just seems as if you are trying to hard to show knowledge on "fashion." Yes, I know, everyone has their own opinion and yes, I know, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but this is just a mess and needs to gtfo-fashion did not cause 911, but different OPINIONS did.

  • I have the impression that you are trying to be a mega androgynous and gentle to others thinking of you, that you are very shy and you want to be credible with your personality. It is some unreliable and artificial for me.

  • Stop showing your lips! I WANNA KISS EM!

  • This is a great video! Hopefully it reaches a wide audience. All too often, people see fashion as a superficial thing.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • love this!!!! good job this is a really cool video...I completely get it!

  • I don't really understand every part of the video especially the beginning but it might be that I don't know some words (since English is my 2nd language) but it's quite suprising how you gave a really far extended meaning of fashion which I don't get yet. For instance how it translates to culture, or how is it a unique lens.

  • this is a mess...

  • I love that you put the gaga clip. I would vote for her if she ever ran for president.

  • @YOUWILLNOTshesays Same Here!

  • Thank you for this, I want to send it to everyone I know who think fashion is vain, simple, and superficial they just don't get it.

  • really like this video!- good work//nice idea. :))

  • Great!

  • Wow love it!

  • you are fashion, I am fashion, everyone of us is part of fashion. fashion is one of the way people connect to each other, don't you just love when you start making friend when you say: "ohmy dear, I love your bag/shoes!" fashion make people hate each other too, you hate people wearing something similar with you. fashion makes people go on diet, and it also makes people work harder to get what they want. fashion is influence! fashion is attitude!

  • I see language as the most detailed mirror of society. Fashion is a very informative part of culture, but fashion is expressed and understood through language.

  • Wow that video was amazing! The best video i have seen in ages, one with a real message! Brilliant x

  • thought-provoking comments!

  • great video !!!! loved it

  • Gaga is fashion

  • Breath-taking.

  • I agree with this video. You should make more videos giving information to some ignorant people out there :D

  • I love the way you speak. I'm Spanish and I can understand you perfectly!

  • i could hear you talk all day and night 24/7 such sexy voice muahhhhhhhh

    saichou,hongkong

  • I agree with @MDkid1 about the 9/11 images. I think the video is very interesting but don't understand and dont agree with the inclusion of those horrific clips. I'm not just being sensitive towards that event, I would feel the same way if it was some other awful footage of death and destruction. Why did you include it?

  • @stitchgk @MDkid1 That's life. That's fashion. It's ideas. Fashion caused that to happen. The fashion of culture, religion, money, power, or whatever. I could have used anything as an example but chose that for the impact it would have. The people in that building most likely worked their asses off leading traditional lives, complaining about their traditional jobs too at times, more than likely with the goal of 'tomorrow' being the time and place when they'd be free of their daily fashion.

  • @stitchgk @MDkid1 It's exactly as the story as the graffiti overlayed tells. It's not fair but it's self inflicted. To follow fashion is a choice and tomorrow might not come. Fashion is such a broad umbrella and really covers everything... I'm really not good at explaning my feelings.. so I hope that kind of made some kind of sense :-/ Probably not :-/

  • @TheStrangerSpeaks though you think you're not really good at explaning your feelings, this video shows your whole point of view about fashion from your heart..it's absolutely comprehensible, true and meaningful:)

  • @TheStrangerSpeaks I can actually understand the purpose of the 9/11 images. Your choice of including it was very controversial, and fashion often creates much controversy. Wardrobe malfunctions, Lady Gaga's meat dress, or a woman wearing a skirt that is a little too "mini" for the office or too long for a gritty club. It grabs attention, people buy it, and you've successfully made a strong and controversial impression. I'm not saying I think it's right or wrong but rather that I understand u <3

  • @TheStrangerSpeaks im not good at that either. I guess there is no way of translating that moment of realization when everything makes sense. Thats the problem with words, people can perceive them freely and change them to what they want. that's why fashion is sometimes so controversial: fashion is real, it's solid. there's no way of forgetting or changing it's meaning because it isnt just a translation of ideas into words, it's a realization, an affirmation of those ideas in its purest form

  • Muito bom o seu vídeo.

Para´bens de qualquer forma, mesmo que voce nunca leia meus comentários e nunca os responda.]

    abraços

    Luiz Jacobi

  • love the video its soo nice to hear some one talk so pasionately about fashion i think fashion is all about visualy communicating who you are on the inside on the outside what do you think about how i see fashion ?

  • whilst I don't get what the 9/11 disaster has to do with fashion, unless you are making some kind of statement about bin Laden's death, I do like the over all video...well expressed and put together, and amazing music (is it yours?)

  • great vid!!! amazing voice <3

  • awesome video. really good.

  • LOVE THE VIDEO
