The Sluggy Freelance series is the most epic, amazing, hilarious, heart-wrenching, awe inspiring, goofy, nifty, killtastic, ironic, unexpectable, mind bending, jaw dropping, gut-sore-laughing, unimaginable, superduperuber, spectacular, unbeatable, second-to-none, adventurous, awesome, unmatchable, moving, overwhelming, demonic, scienceness, shocking, unbelievable, weird, bewildering, super-rabbit filled webcomic ever! @vgyu8gf68 "Destroy worlds?" ...I find that a disturbing possibility. I have no idea how it would help, but I am quite sure that Torg is quite willing to cross a lot of lines to get her back (just look at 4U Torg)
@Toan133 she's not dead, she survived with horrible burn wounds that can't heal. she is being kept alive by machines in a state of perpetual suffering.
This is Pete, remember, so that means I really have no Idea whether she's alive or dead. The comic's gonna be probably going for at least another 3-5 years at least, and we'd kind of need her for those, but then again, none of the Sluggy guys have died yet, so Pete might have decided to to change it up a little... My head hurts!
It would really be sad(I mean, literally, tears for me) if she really was killed(gone for good that is). This is no Aeris from FF7. Unlike Aeris, who you only known for a little while, this is a character who you may have known for nearly 12 years(or at least you've known from reading 12 years worth of material). Wow, lucky you, growing up on Sluggy! I only just picked it up a year ago. I think it makes me dorkier that I read the entire archive (up to Years of Yarncraft) within two months.
What I think will happen to prove Zoe is alive is that Riff will somehow find out that His Masterness is not alt. dimension Riff, but alt. dimension Schlock. Knowing that will give him enough faith in himself to go on to perpetrate acts of awesomeness, ultimately uncovering Zoe. Also, when he gets back home, it will occur to him that maybe his own dimensions Schlock has his technology via Hereti Corp, and thus the next Oasis storyline will be born, which obviously Zoe has to be present for.
OK, I admit it, I love Zoe, I've always loved Zoe, ever since I've been reading this comic, and that's a long time (10 years). And she's not dead, this isn't the "Reactions" forum, so I can spec all I want. She's not dead, because Pete wouldn't kill her. He's not that dumb. He's not THAT cruel (OK, he's pretty cruel, but not that cruel, he's given us so much joy already with this comic, don't forget that....) He wants to mess with our heads and make us BELIEVE he'd kill her, but she's alive.
... Okay, that was major powerful. Excellent song choice, perfect for all so many reasons. Good picture selection, even though I don't normally like picture frames, in this case it was necessary and you still made it epic.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to find a corner to cry.

Zoe's not dead.
As mucha s there's evidence to suggest it, I prefer to wait until there's definitive proof that she's dead, plus the new storyline suggests otherwise.
