  • he has like a fish tank and a giant tv also a cool table with electronicals on it lol...

  • nintendo does sell there own adapter. its a bit more in price then this one.

  • would be a good idea to specify the make/model of this adapter, perhaps? Like, so people not on the forum don't have to trawl through some thread to find out?

  • I ordered it cuz my wireless signal is off and on. I wonder why. Anyways, I ordered a Wii Lan USB adapter last Thursday, I might get it this Tuesday. Some unknown Wii stuff like Wii Speak and the adapter aren't easy to find in the stores. I had to order them from a computer store. Do you need the access code to set up a wired connection? I didn't see you do that in the settings.

  • hi im interested to buy it about games like mario kart of super smash bros brawl speed get better than wifi connection? really thanks for read my message =)

  • im so jealous of your tv you sob

  • Hi, thanks for the video. Can I use any LAN adapter, cause I found one very cheap and I don't know if I should buy that one instead of a more expensive one... Thanks!

  • Thanks! You confirmed my suspicions that those would work :-) I ordered one off of Ebay for $3 a week ago.

  • oh my god is there any that dont need a router i dont wanna get a router because those things are so damn frustrating and complicated i just want an adaptor to plug into my computer then into my xbox to bridge the connections and play without any complication, the most simple way to get connection on an xbox, the only problem is that my xbox has 1 ethernet port

  • O_O!

  • does this work with xbox

    ?

  • @itslisanumber1 maybe it could try it

  • is it possible to use the wii and a ethernet adaptor to a blu ray player to get the netflix options using the wii 's wireless signal to the router?? so i dont have to run a cord from one room to the other

  • Works this on ps2 to?

  • Yes its does

  • Could I get one of these at best buy and if i can how would i ask for a cheaper version cuz at the moment i dont have 30 bucks to spend on an adaptor

  • sorry bud thasts about cheapest youll get

  • its twenty.

  • Where can I get one?

  • b/c i get good wireless with my wii so i can use that for internet source for the 360 right?

  • first where do i get one? And second can i hook the ethernernet cord from this to a 360º and the usb to my wii and connect to xbox live?

  • where can i get one of these adapters

  • in which hole of the router to put in?

my pc i-net cable is in hole Lan 1! It wouldn't work if its in Lan 2.

So does it work if i put it in Lan 2 , 3 or 4 and connect it with the wii?

I have Fritz! Box Fon Wlan Router

  • u make my life so much easier thank you. im at college n wireless blows here, so i need that.

  • I have no clue why Nintendo has to make this so damn confusing. >_> Anyways to people out there with Troubleshooting problems look at the manual, or call Nintendo. He obviously can't answer your questions, because you have specific error codes.

  • mine is gray color can it soport ?

  • i have a 3g modem, does this work?

  • i did everything this guy did and i was updating it.......and it said i could not update

  • When I do this, i get the error message: 51420

  • Meee tooo :(

  • great vid was using this to help freinds these steps work on any generic adapter ppl

  • so whats that product called??? or will any USB Ethernet adapter work??? plz help me for some resin i cant put 2 and 2 together

  • I have little internet ports around my house..theres two little ports in the living room..one is connected to the phone....if i buy a Wii LAN adapter from Nintendo and connect it from my wii to the empty internet port...will I get a wired connection

  • My usb ethernet adapter looks exactly like that, ive got a modem, not a wireless router, cna i get it online now or do i need to buy the router? reply please :)

  • so this means you can use any router to connect to the internet on the wii???

  • do you have a fish tank? lol any way good job on confirming that it works im not to trusting of 3rd party items

  • freaking weak screen man that is huge!

  • My usb ethernet adapter looks exactly like that, ive got a modem, not a wireless router, cna i get it online now or do i need to buy the router? reply please :)

  • gawd that anoying shop channel music XD

  • mine always fails i dont know whats wrong

  • how much does the adapter cost anyway?

  • $29.99

  • I'll be copping this. Wireless is just too unreliable for sometimes

  • "An extensions cord. To, you know... extend 'n' stuff."

    LaWLzoRZ

  • would this work on the 360? please respond i need one :(

  • will it also work for the ps2 'cause i'm too lazy to get a network adaptor, i'm on a fat ps2 just to remind u

  • will any usb to ethernet adapter work or just a specific model

  • any as far as i can say

  • so without using the extra cord that u put in the back fist i could jus put a usb cord from the router in it just having a slower connection

  • can you put the wifi usb connecter to the back of the wii?

  • yeah but it goes slow.

  • thanks man you are the bast i wasnt sure to buy it but i bought it and it works thanks loool

  • how come wii didn't make ethernet ports?

  • I think nintendo wants us to buy their adapter so they could sell more

  • @socom2293 i know that would be better if nintendo made there own Ethernet ports for the wii bit they have one for wii but its a sepertate one it has a usb to plug at the back of the wii and then an ethernet port on the adapter plug one in and in a pc or a modem and your dn but i swear its just an ordinary adapter if you plug the usb in your pc and then plug a Ethernet cable in the adapter and in the pc you would have free internet lol i swear that could happen

  • @socom2293 cause if it did you could mod it

  • @hugo33100 moding isnt bad i mean there is people who use it cuz they need it but it could be worst how will the modding effect the rest of us

  • how do i make it so that i don't have to keep alternating between my pc and wii lol i have a muvh smaller router with only one enherent plug will it still work

  • oh u conect it to the router for some reason i thought you were supose to but the cable in the computer

  • whats a better connection? wifi or wired, cus i got wifi but sometimes it lags when i play SSBB. so i want to see if wired is better.

  • the wired connection is only better when you have interferrence between your wii and pc. basically, if you have a 3 bar reception witch mean a good reception a wired connection is useless

  • he wired connection is only better when you have interferrence between your wii and pc. basically, if you have a 3 bar reception witch mean a good reception a wired connection is useless

  • wot about LAN ethernet dus that fit up any sockets on our wii's ass

  • I hav a ?)where i live i could only use phone line so if i buy the usb ethrenet adapter will it work with my wii would it be able to wifi?

  • if u use any ethernet usb adapter will it work?

  • im not sure but i wouldnt risk it id either get the Kinemax NT-USB20 or the official nintendo one, because those two have been proven to work.

  • work with vista ??!!

  • hey andreps2fan you have to get the wii lan adaptor and have either a router or a broadband modem such as dsl or cble. just a eithernt canle would not work!

  • I think Nyko also sells them. Third party companies also sell them, and they should work. I don't own one, since I have a wireless broadband connection.

  • I would like to know the same thing.

  • Can I use ethernet thing or do I HAVE to buy that thingy?!

  • The Ethernet cable attaches to the adapter. So you need to purchase the USB Ethernet adapter.

  • hey i have a question can i buy a normal usb ethernet cable and plug that will work on my wii?or i will need to buy the ofical wii lan adapter or this to work????

  • hey i have a qustion, only the oficial wii lan adapter and this works on wii?or i can geta normal one and plug that will work?????

  • Hi guys,

One thing I'm wondering. Is it possible to do exacly what this guy did, but WITHOUT a router. Like to plug the ethernet cable directly in my modem?

  • yes it is you can plug the ethernet cable that you plug into the USB adapter that is in your Wii right into your DSL/Cable modem.

  • good vid i wanted to get the lan adapter do u know where i can get one

  • lol i have nothing conected to my wii and the internet works but i do have a wireless router in my livingroom for some reason it conects to its weird.

  • can u just plug the ethernet into the wall?

  • lol is huge

  • With this adapter you can play a LAN play with Mario Kart double dash of GCN? conecting wii to other wii?

  • this guy rich all these cords and shit big ass tv!

  • I would recommend you new Wii gamers to get the offical USB from Nintendo(or the offical Japanese one I have)because they have been doing updates to stop 3 party support items from working. They lose money that way,so they find way to prevent that.

  • Wow we have retarded peeps in here. There are 2 types of connectors,Wifi and LAN.Btw,for those that dont know, the hardware for the Wii is not region lock meaning you can use a Japanese LAN Wii adaptor and it will still work.I got one from Ebay sellers name was vistaproducts

  • I'm on aol using a bt voyager modem i'm on broadband will it work for me? or do i need a wired router? and if notdo you replace the connection with your modem every time you want online with your pc?? please help me as i tried the wifi dongle only to find out i need a wireless router and mario kart comes out soon and i want to put a red shell up anyones arse lol cheers in advance for some help

    i guess i just wasted money :\

  • Wooo thanks:D , I guess:) i didn't know if they worked, you saved me paying 20 pounds for an official one (40 dollars)

  • wired is faster more reliable than wireless.. dumdass

  • dumdass its wireless you have a router wats the point a corb

  • 1:01 ..."and then turn on the Wii"...

    LOL DAYUM, BIG ASS TV!

    nicee

hey i got a question, besides the cable to connect the T.V that the wii comes with

is there anything more qulity like? i have an HD tv, is there like any HD cables for Wii??

  • The only kind of cable related to HD on the Wii is the Wii Component Cable, if yoiu want to find out more about it just type it on google

  • Two routers?

I have the same damn thing but I can't connect!

  • PLEASE REPLY!! were did u get that ? PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER!!

  • were do i get this port

  • Can itwork on a G USB Wireless Router? I got a Wireless connection on my Computer and my G USB Wireless Router doesn't have an ETHERNET.

  • yeah. the device is an ethernet adapter not a wireless reciever.

  • Heyyy i got the same router as you the black

    one

but it doesnt work for me as to play wi-fi

    in nintendo wii and ds

so im looking for the USB ethernet.

but since im watching your video and i just noticed u have the same router as me

how did you configured the router to work?

  • can you plug the ethernet cord directly into a modem or do you have to have a router?

  • The router is not required. However, it makes no sense to buy this adapter instead of a router when a wireless router can be had for $35 any day.

  • I GOTA usb CONNECTER FROM NINTENDO BUT IT DON,T WORK STUPID HOW THAT THIG WORKS

    ?

  • The thing you got allows your Wii or DS to connect through your computer. The WiFi Connector does not plug into your Wii's USB port. Instead, you should plug it into your Internet-connected PC and install the software.

  • what if i sont have the software.

  • Fuck you, spammer

  • When i try to normaly connect it gives me error: 52021

When i give it my adress it gives me error: 52222

What the heck does those errors mean?!

Do i need to connect my modem with my computer? If i do how the fuck do i do that?! Somebody please help me!!!

btw why do i need to put Pin-code before trying to connect?

  • I hav eone of these they work so wel.. I wanted to use it for my wii but my computer is upstiars and my wii is downstairs. The signal doesn tgo very far..

  • lol i want one of these to put with my wii but my wii is in the liveing room and the computor was moved to my sisters room and she is a BITCH!

  • "extension cord to extend and stuff....." lol good video

  • ok i also have xbox live so if i get 1 can i put my ethernet cable straight from my 360 to my wii and will that connect fine?

  • No you can't. How will the internet get there

  • i knew that shit would word...good job on the mitsubishi 62/52-628 dlp

  • when you have to plug in the ethernet wire into the router, instead of the router(since i dont have one)can u plug it into ur computer to? plz post a reply comment.

  • no u cant

  • shit that sucks!!

  • my modem has a usb port couldn't i just run a usb cable from my modem to my Wii

  • Hi, i live in the U.K. How can i get my hands on one of those adapters please ?

  • Nice TV

  • Hey guys i have a DI-524 C1 D-Link router with a USB wireless thing and it doesnt work, can anyone tell me what to do?

  • get an internet connection

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • cool

  • Ok, I just shelled out my money for this piece of shit. I plugged it in, I've done this before, I know what I'm doing. Anyway, I set it to wired connection, and tested connection. Apparently, this video is total crap. This DOES NOT WORK, I tried putting the usb into another port, everything, it's not fucking working.

I spent my Christmas money for nothing, thanks a-fucking lot.

  • i didnt get it working either ,did u in the end???

  • KinMax has updated the firmware on their adapter. Those with the PRE-OCTOBER 2006 firmware, which references the Vendor-ID string non-specific find that the adapter works (mine does). But if you received a new one, which is notable by being in a simple white cardboard box, it has the newer firmware and the Wii excludes it.

  • if the adapter doesnt work well why dont u make a vid response proving him wrong

  • That's a nice router he has there...

  • nice

  • Dud u need a wireless router :D

  • Im feeling a sense of loss guys im gettin my wii on christmas eve but i have those USB Wireless from the pc to teh ds but will that work with the wii so my usb can go wireless to the wii?? do i need a router?

  • If you have the DS USB, it works with the Wii.

  • So you need a router either way? I don't know why I assumed you could plug it directly into the modem..Guess I need to look into it more.

  • well cool mate, just wat i badly wanted to know, i cant find the original adaptor anywhere, so this is cool, cheers mate, awsome!!!

  • You are most definitely from Brooklyn right? Long Island/Bay Ridge or something like that?

  • can i use every ethernet usb converter? or... do i need that or the orginal?

  • so since my router has a usb connection in it im pretty much ready to go... hehe

  • The USB Connection device goes into the back of the Wii while the Ethernet Jack goes to your router to the USB Ethernet Adapter attached to the back of the Wii.

  • Probably a router with USB connection will not work, but try it...

  • so, does EVERY usb-to-ethernet-adapter work? or just the specific model and brand that is used in the video?

  • Only ones with a very specific vendor ID. Older versions of the Kinmax and The Airlink ASOHOUSB adapter. Note: Nintendo is shipping their wired adapter this month at $24, so you're only saving $5 to go with someone elses.. and to have it "right now"

  • Unless you have a Internet connection greater than 54Mbit connection there is no difference between wired and wireless

  • Except without the whole 'packet loss' thing associated with wireless being as crappy as it is.

  • Wrong, there is a thing named LATENCY...

  • My guess is, you'll notice a big difference in multiplayer games. We'll know as soon as they release one.

  • Can I link it to my BT Voyager 105 modem ?

  • its actually not faster than wireless, i timed it...

  • its WAY FASTER than wireless is...lol and I don't even have my wii yet(waiting for new shipment)

  • whiffer2 likely meant that it doesn't help wii's speed much.. the connection test, shop channel, and every other online bit seem ridiculously slow over wifi, but in this video it seems to take about the same time for the test and for the shop channel to load over wired lan?? if it's just N's sites that are slow then there's not much to be done about it... but i could really have handled 1 extra cable for a good old ethernet jack.

  • hey dude its me SONICMON1 aka b2j135(if only i could change my name!)
