I've used this helmet for over a year now and travelled with it for thousands of kilometers. While the visor has loosened up somewhat, it is still has a clumsy, notchy movement that requires too much effort to raise it. Otherwise, I like the helmet fine.
Nice review and I have both helmets as well. However, I think you are comparing apples and oranges.
Icon is definately made great for the street rider. That is Why the Faceshield is so easy to operate, you need this on the street.
HJC is a great Trackrider Helmet, Quiet, great ventalation, and you dont want the faceshield to pop up on you. Did you notice the shield also has the ability to hold racer viser tear offs?
Apples and Oranges. Icon on the Street and HJC at the track!
I still can't decide which helmet I prefer. The HJC is definitely a quieter helmet, and lighter. The airframe for me is more stable at high speed but that might be because it's a snugger fit. They both have served me well.
the visor on the fs 15 is so hard because you have to unlock it. press the side button . that way it will be easier to open it. once you want to lock it switch the button .... thats all

the visor will get softer to lift up with use. I thought the same thing of mine at first, but now it's just butter!

Hey Bro, the button was unlocked when I made the clip. If it had been in the locked positions, the visor would not open at all.
In fairness to the FS15, the visor has become a little easier to open with wear, however it's still not up to the standard of the Icon helmet.
