    when i first started doing lunges i overdid it and it did kill my left knee. I had to give it a rest for two weeks but if you ease yourself into it you should be fine and your knees will strengthen

  • @colemdcpro actually...the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest. These exercises build muscle. In reality you should do both muscle building exercises and cardio to lose weight. You know what's really funny though? This video never claimed it was for losing weight., so your comment is a little foolish. If you want to make a smartass comment, maybe you should make sure you know what the hell you're talking about.

  • Great form in this vid. Some of these U-tube exercise videos do not. I just started using Youtube videos to break-up my DVD workouts. Exercising the right way hurts bad enough esp, if you don't stretch properly afterwards (so do that). This vid looks professional and good for toning muscles. Now I need another fat burning vid, my body adapts so quickly workout routines and finds away to holds onto pounds :(  Wish I had a treadmill.

    and I just tried these steps for the first time and I feel it. ..I AM EXCITED TO CONTINUE.

    I do have a hard time with the leg crunches...I am not able to do very much and I am surprised at this.

    (do knees get stronger as we practice?)

    ANYWAY ITS A START AND I am happy!

  • i really don't think that you want madonna's arms whrit now ;)

  • If you want to be fit, do a less strenous workout.

    Work lighter. Don't do the heavy weights. Do light (if any) with more reps.

    At 4:26...the resistance would probably be more like lifting a heavier weight...so it's probably not what you would want to do unless there's something a bit looser with no so much resistance.

    But you can tone with the basics, running, leg lifts, jumping jacks, arm rotations, dumbells, etc.

    Eat right as well.

  • I'm not sure what the point of this exercise is if your goal is to have muscular arms. You might as well use free weights and do bicep curls etc.

  • Most women won't get very muscular arms even if they try their hardest, so you shouldn't be afraid of a good workout because of it!

  • This lady is the truth. I have seen so many FAKE advertisements for "madonna arms" BUT this lady sure got REAL Madonna arms. I have 26% body fat, 130lbs, 5"5" tall. How long should it take me to have arms as nice as yours? How many reps of 15 should I do? Is 3 sets of 15reps that is 45 individual bicep & 45 tricep exercises enough? Thanx in advance!PS: Please post more videos & if u ever come out with a workout video I'd buy coz u really have those Madonna arms!

  • Hi sexanddiamonds, thanks for your comments and sorry for my delayed response. I would recommend that you try to increase the tension in your exercise band so you find it challenging to do 12 - 15 repetitions. I would try to do 3 sets of 12 - 15 repititions to really build your strength. Good luck!

  • Isn't that bounce on the squat more of a ballistic stretch? It seems so, and ballistic stretching isn't really considered safe;(

    The slow deep squat seems safer and more effective.

  • It doesn't matter how you look, it matters how you feel and how your health is. If you think you look fine, but you're uncomfortable or at risk for health issues, you need to work out. Good luck!
